I downloaded find my iphone app on my Ipad. I have no problems finding my MacBook from it. I tried to download find my Iphone on my MacBook. But after it is installed, I can't find it. How can I find my Ipad, using my MacBook? (Yes, I have updated the software, and yes, I have activated Find My Iphone on my Icloud).

I updated my MacBook to OS X 10.9.4, which is Maverick, and now when I try to plug my iPhone in nothing will appear, all it will do is charge the phone. My phone is updated to iOS 7.1.2 and I cant find a new update. me and my grandma are planning on getting a family pack MobileMe account to save money instead of having two accounts. She has a trial account currently, so from what I understand is tomorrow I go buy the family pack box set, set up my account (which will be the master account), cancel her account (disable synching on her iPhone before hand), add her account under account options in my account, and viola.Now here's my question:Since we will both be on the same 'family pack,' will she be able to view my emails, find my iPhone, pictures, or anything else? I am syncing all of my music library to my iPhone via iTunes on a MacBook Pro. There are only a very few albums not showing up. These have NOT been bought off iTunes - they are older than iTunes I put them on the computer from CDs.But for the same artist - about half of the music shows up - it seems to be whole CDs that don't. I tried highlighting the songs and making sure they actually had an artist - they do. They have albums listed, too. I have no idea what is going on. This is also on my husbands phone - but for a different artist (different computer, too and he has an iPhone 4s, I have an i4)Â

I have a iPhone 4 (running 4.2.1) that I used sparingly so I never synced/updated the firmware. I finally decided to update the firmware, but am running into the following problem. On the summary tab for the phone in iTunes, I see "A newer version of the iPhone software is available (version 4.3.5). To update ..."
when I click the "Update" button, it just open the file browser (I'm assuming to find the firmware file.) I looked in the ~/Library/iTunes/iPhone Software Updates/ and the directory does not exist. Searched the entire filesystem for other download locations (search for iPhone, .ipsw etc.), didn't have luck.
A couple of things that I find strange:
1. Not sure why the available version is 4.3.5 and not 5+ (maybe there's no direct upgrade path from 4.2.1 -> 5+)
2. I never looked for the updates manually, perhaps iTunes detected it on startup.
In any case, it seems like iTunes *thinks* it already downloaded the lastest version, but can't seem to find the downloaded file and there doesn't seem to be an obvious way to force iTunes to try redownloading. I don't think it's a version issue. OSX: 10.6.8. iTunes: 10.6.1. I've tried rebooting, altering the order of starting itunes and plugging in the phone etc. without any luck. Am I just out of luck or am I missing something obvious?

the only solution i've found that works is i have to re download itunes everytime to make the restore or upgrading my iphone work, i've tryed the recovery mode and the dfu mode itunes just sits there after the final loading process, so my question is is there a way i can get it working back to normal without having to re downloading itunes.

I have a new iMac and iPhone 4.0. All software is up to date and I have installed the free beta version of Mountain Lion which let me use iChat on my computer. Safari intermittently stops working. Mail won't access my mailboxes if Safari is running. Now iTunes won't find my iPhone when it's locked and in a dock charging. If I restart I can do 1 thing at a time, but I can't have Safari running and use Mail. I've emptied my cache, checked my passwords. It's none of that. By process of elimination, there is some kind of conflict between using multiple applications on the Internet at the same time. Sometimes after I've gone to several Internet sites Safari will stop working properly even though all other applications have been "quit".

I can't seem to get my Macbook Pro 13" 2.26Ghz (OS 10.5.7) connect to my iPhone 3G (OS 3.0) via bluetooth. In the Bluetooth Setup Assistant the macbook sees the iPhone 3G, but they don't connect after I accept the connect on the iPhone 3G. The codes on the Macbook and iPhone are the same and, therefore, should connect.

I used Macthe Ripper to rip my sons chuggington dvd to my macbook pro, then i used handbrake to convert it, i managed to copy the converted file to my itunes library, but when i symc my iphone 3gs, it says it won't copy the file because it can't be played on my iphone.Several forums mention using the iphone/ipod touch preset when converting in Hnadbrake, now i may be a numpty, but i cant find this preset anywhere?! The closest thing i can see is an apple button/setting.when i selected apple and told it to play again, it said it would overwrite the prev converted verison. It took hours to convert the first time, if I do this, will it really work? Or will I waste another 3 hours?!

I found out something interesting that brings back two years. Remember that old iPhone, the one that came out on June 2007. Well I think his accessories will save us some money for this new iPhone 4. I went inside my garage and found my old iPhone dock that Apple provided with the original iPhone. I said ?hey maybe this dock will fit the new phone.? And it did EXACTLY what I predicted. The new iPhone 4 dock FITS in the old original iPhone dock. I just saved myself $30 for a new dock!
