I already configured Icloud and I can find on maps devices sucha as Ipads, Iphones and Mac´s, but something is happened with my own MacBook Pro, I cant locate it on the Maps, I only see the image of the MacBook Pro and the instruction for locked it or send a message. I did all troubleshooting explained on support web page (location activevated on security, etc) and the problem still remains.Â

I can't get Find my iPhone to locate my MBP 7,1, 2.4gHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB DDR3 Ram, 500GB hard drive with Lion 10.7.4. I tried turning off and on iCloud's Find my iPhone and re-installed the 10.7.4 service pack again. Both iCloud.com and the app doesn't locate my MBP.

I downloaded find my iphone app on my Ipad. I have no problems finding my MacBook from it. I tried to download find my Iphone on my MacBook. But after it is installed, I can't find it. How can I find my Ipad, using my MacBook? (Yes, I have updated the software, and yes, I have activated Find My Iphone on my Icloud).

I updated my MacBook to OS X 10.9.4, which is Maverick, and now when I try to plug my iPhone in nothing will appear, all it will do is charge the phone. My phone is updated to iOS 7.1.2 and I cant find a new update. I need to get pictures off my phone not only because my phone is telling me my storage is full but I use my camera for many things and need to be able to put many pictures on my computer at once without having to find another way to do it.

re 'find my iPhone' app.The app works well to and from my iMac and iPhone4 and my newiPad.I have icons on home screens on iPhone and iPad named ' Find iPhone' and they work.On the iMac i can only find this icon via iCloud screen. I would like to see it on my desktop or even better in the Dock..The icon in iCloud will not click and drag to desktop/dock.

I am syncing all of my music library to my iPhone via iTunes on a MacBook Pro. There are only a very few albums not showing up. These have NOT been bought off iTunes - they are older than iTunes I put them on the computer from CDs.But for the same artist - about half of the music shows up - it seems to be whole CDs that don't. I tried highlighting the songs and making sure they actually had an artist - they do. They have albums listed, too. I have no idea what is going on. This is also on my husbands phone - but for a different artist (different computer, too and he has an iPhone 4s, I have an i4)Â

I have a iPhone 4 (running 4.2.1) that I used sparingly so I never synced/updated the firmware. I finally decided to update the firmware, but am running into the following problem. On the summary tab for the phone in iTunes, I see "A newer version of the iPhone software is available (version 4.3.5). To update ..."
when I click the "Update" button, it just open the file browser (I'm assuming to find the firmware file.) I looked in the ~/Library/iTunes/iPhone Software Updates/ and the directory does not exist. Searched the entire filesystem for other download locations (search for iPhone, .ipsw etc.), didn't have luck.
A couple of things that I find strange:
1. Not sure why the available version is 4.3.5 and not 5+ (maybe there's no direct upgrade path from 4.2.1 -> 5+)
2. I never looked for the updates manually, perhaps iTunes detected it on startup.
In any case, it seems like iTunes *thinks* it already downloaded the lastest version, but can't seem to find the downloaded file and there doesn't seem to be an obvious way to force iTunes to try redownloading. I don't think it's a version issue. OSX: 10.6.8. iTunes: 10.6.1. I've tried rebooting, altering the order of starting itunes and plugging in the phone etc. without any luck. Am I just out of luck or am I missing something obvious?

Yesterday, I had to re-format my external hard drive so that it could be "recordable" within Pro Tools, which wasn't a major issue, I just had to move everything from my Lacie drive to another drive, do the format, and then throw it all back on. It took a little while but this also included moving my nearly 60gb itunes library. Now that it is on the newly formatted hard drive, itunes doesn't seem to be able to find the majority of the songs any more. I've tried changing the music folder and a few other things, and there is no way I'm going through and doing the "cant find music - click here to find it" palava. Is anyone aware of a way that you can "mass find" all of the music in any way other than starting the library again and adding all the music (I don't really want to lose all of my play counts and ratings if possible!)
View 2 Replies View Relatedthe only solution i've found that works is i have to re download itunes everytime to make the restore or upgrading my iphone work, i've tryed the recovery mode and the dfu mode itunes just sits there after the final loading process, so my question is is there a way i can get it working back to normal without having to re downloading itunes.
View 1 Replies View Relatedme and my grandma are planning on getting a family pack MobileMe account to save money instead of having two accounts. She has a trial account currently, so from what I understand is tomorrow I go buy the family pack box set, set up my account (which will be the master account), cancel her account (disable synching on her iPhone before hand), add her account under account options in my account, and viola. Now here's my question:Since we will both be on the same 'family pack,' will she be able to view my emails, find my iPhone, pictures, or anything else? And vice versa. What I'm hoping is that even though they are in the same family pack, you will have to log in with each specific account (via password) to see mail, contacts, etc

Has anyone had trouble with Find My Mac in the iCloud pane in System Preferences turning itself off? I've been noticing that sometimes i'll go onto iCloud.com to track it just out of curiosity and find that it says offline, so i go check System Preferences and it's unchecked. But i haven't touched it since i turned it on. I've this happen several times.

I am running Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3. A few months ago, I switched from Mobile Me to iCloud. Today I was having trouble with the account being "offline", so I went into Mail preferences and re-entered my password for icloud. Somehow, I now have Mobile Me (inactive) on my computer, but no icloud to be found. When I try to sign in to icloud, it tells me that I am already signed in and to change accounts, I need to delete my icloud account and sign in again
