MacBook Air :: Cancel Zoom Other Than Reloading Webpage?
Apr 4, 2012
I'm using a Magic Mouse with my MBA because I much prefer a mouse pointer to the touch pad. However, I'm having problem with it that is driving me crazy. Every once in a while, my fingers do something that activates ZOOM in. What I'm doing to cause this is beyond me. What annoys me to no end is that I can't figure out how to cancel the zoom in other than to close the webpage I'm on and then reload it.
What is causing the zoom to activate?
Is there a simple method to cancel zoom other than reloading the webpage?

Safari on my iMac just started doing this strange thing where it repeatedly loads particular webpages before crashing and I get the message "Safari quit unexpectedly". Any ideas what I can do to stop this? I've already tried resetting Safari which has cleared my history and the cache and deleted all cookies.
i can not zoom in and zoom out in the finder's windows with the folders as in snow leopard i was able to make the folders bigger with the zoom pinch in and out but i was unable to do with it in mac lion
I went to App Store and Keynote, Pages, Numbers etc. all had an update. I pressed install but now I do not want to update them. I paused update for now, is there any way to cancel the update?

my imessage along with husbands automatically show up on my mac how can i get this to stop with out changing apple id which we share for icloud account find my phone and itunes? it once didnt do this? something chanfed and i cant figure it out?Â
I have tried all your online support facilities to try and gain an answer to this highly irritation and obstructing technical issue with YOUR software. Safari tabs keep automatically reloading - it appears you are well aware of this technical issue as there are people complaining on the community (most of which I cannot follow as I am not an IT expert) - where is your support? What are you doing about this problem?Â

Who's brilliant idea was it to have Safari reload pages without asking? You realize we lose all data inputed into data fields when that happens? I seriously hope they got fired for sabataging us.
When is it advisable to reload my system software? What kinds of problems can that help with? What are the possible pitfalls of doing so? Finally, since I've done some system upgrades online since installing the original system?
Whats's going on!??My finder windows have recently started to randomly close and reload for no reason....I don't get a 'this has unexpectedly quit' message, but whatever i'm doing in finder closes and reloads back to my mounted volumes..Is this happening to anyone else? (weird bug) or is it just me?!
I opened iTunes today and although all my music was listed under "Music" in the Library, every time I tried to play a song I am told that the original cannot be found. So what do I need to do to clear out iTunes "memory" so I can re-load the library?

I waited a long time to upgrade to Safari 5.1 because the first time I installed it, it kept my fan on constantly / ate up all my CPU. I deinstalled and got the previous version. Finally, when no longer able to watch BBC content, I upgraded and got 5.1.4. Â
Safari used to work great. Now it decides that it has to force reload all pages about once every 40 minutes. It dumps all my cookies so I have to sign back into everything I had open - the facebook, Netflix, twitter, email, etc. It doesn't even remember what Netflix movie you were watching so you have to rebrowse - just because of the force reload. And if you somehow miss clicking on every open tab at the time to start the reload, then the next time you go to that tab it will start all the reloads again. Sometimes I just force quit Safari altogether and restart, clear my whole cache and dump all my cookies. Then I can get a clean hour out of it.Â
It takes up endless time to suffer through this bug and I see that it has been a bug for well over a year. What, if anything can one do about this? Why hasn't it been fixed?
I have some movies on iTunes that are on my hard drive. I select them to sync to my iPad and they load just fine. However once I delete them from the iPad I do not want them reloaded next time I sync with iTunes.Â
How do I stop it from reloading on my iPad if I no longer want them there? I know if I unselect it from iTunes it removes it but thats not my issue.
Safari keeps reloading pages and then eventually shows "can't view webpage" I tried installing firefox, but it just crashers when i try going to websites. I've removed all internet plug-ins and get the same results. The last major updated that i did was the java update for the flashback virus that was going around.
When I last used my computer (4days ago) everything was fine! now it gets stuck in zoom and there are no "x" on my tabs. So now the only way I can close a tab is by command w and I have to close the window to get out of zoom. I've read you have to reset safari to fix it but then I also have read that doesn't work and you lose all your saved web pages.
Since a while for some reason safari decides to reload all my tabs open in the browser. A sandball pops up and the webpages I am currently working in turns blank. When I switch to another opened tab this one turns also blank and reloads. This is pretty annoying and consumes a lot of time. How can I overcome this problem? My system is a MacBook Pro early 2011, OS X lion with all updates.

I am using OSX Mail and a me.com address, via O2 broadband in the UK. About once a day, Mail, apparenty randomly, reloads dozens of recently read and deleted messages. So, just now for example, I appear to have 68 new messages, and it's all stuff I've dealt with already, some of it is in the InBox and some is filed in other Mailboxes - doesn't seem to make any difference. So now I'm getting duplicates and probably throwing out items I meant to keep.Â
This is just happening on my desktop iMac and is not replicated on my iPhone or Macbook Air. It feels as if the sync between the iMac and iCloud is somehow corrupting, if that's possible.Â
This has been going on for a few weeks and so isn't getting better on its own (as I have read in other postings). It also doesn't seem to be linked to any other event. The iMac is on all the time, either in use or asleep, and maybe gets restarted once a week.Â
I am wary of deleting things from the Library in case I either lose ALL my mail or it decides to replicate every message in the archive.Â
All of the sudden, I find out that I can no longer put text on my video, because my title templates are gone, along with all my generators. How to get back my title templates and text without deleting and reloading my FCPx?
I'm working via Safari on an online jigsaw puzzle at http://six.flash-gear.com/npuz/puz.php?c=v&id=3274406&k=25952437.  The computer zoomed in on the puzzle...a Mac-based zoom-in menu appeared and accidentally flashed on "zoom in"...and now I cannot undo the zoom. All normal methods fail, and part of the puzzle is off-screen. I don't know how to see the rest of the puzzle now. I thought perhaps deselecting "show all" would help, but it won't let me deselect either.
When browsing the internet and zoom on photos the screen goes black. This does not happen on my 13" Retina display i5 processor 256GB SSD 8GB RAM, so I do not believe the problem to be my Thunderbolt display.Â
I have fully updated my software, to ensure I am not missing any essential hot fixes. The Mac was rebuilt on Thursday, so not running any 3rd party software except Microsoft Office.Â
Info: MacBook Air, OS X Mavericks (10.9.4), connected 27" Thunderbolt display
Recently purchased video content is reloading to my devices even though the same content is already on the device.Â
Can successfully remove the video, and that stops the reload during subsequent syncs. If the content is put back, the reloading starts again in subsequent syncs. Â
Not the worst problem, but a big time and data consumer, and very annoying. I have tried the following without success of stopping this behavior;
1.)Â Deleted the video in question from my library and downloaded it again from Apple. 2.)Â Downloaded/Reinstalled iTunes from Apple on my laptop. 3.)Â Device soft reset. 4.)Â Device factory reset and restored.Â
My current system is;Â OSX 10.9.3 and iTunes 11.2.2 running on MacBook Pro, while OS Version 7.1.1 resides on my iPhone 5S and iPad2.Â
I have a question about websites view default. Where I can fix it. I mean every time I open facebook or other websites like yahoo, twitters etc. It's always zoomed in so I have to zoom out every time! I know I can put two fingers on the pad and zoom in and out but I want it fixed everytime I open it so I don't have to zoom out everytime.
I have the macbook air 11" with mac os X lion and I want to set the control zoom option to go continuously with pointer how do I do that? I did it on the regular white macbook running mac osx leopard in the trackpad preferance pane. How do I do it for mac osx lion?
Info: MacBook Air, Mac OS X (10.7.3), I need help with zoom option.
I bought a retina macbook pro (the uptated version of august). it is the mid 13inch version. unfortunately my trackpad does't zoom anymore in the safari... is it an option that toggled off or is it a problem that i am having???
