View 1 Replies View RelatedApparently Adobe have not officially tested CS3 with Snow Leopard although unofficially they have and acknowledge some problems. They do not acknowledge (officially) the crashes experienced by David Pogue of the New York Times (but claim to be working with him per the John Nash blog at Adobe). I paid over $600 for PS CS3 a little less than 2 years ago. I think that's a premium that deserves support and not be railroaded into a $200 upgrade to a version of PS CSn that I don't need. Anyone else use Photoshop CS3 and not want to be forced into CS4 by Adobe?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just recently bought a Macbook Pro, i7 intel computer. I have a Pixma Pro 9000 Mark II that I have been using just as a printer, however I'm wondering about being able to use the Easy Photo Print Pro software from Canon software so that I would be able download photos to my computer? If so, what supporting program or software do I need to install first from Apple? Can I use this Canon software so that I can use the Pixma as a scanner than upload to my computer so that I can edit my photos? I'm new at Apples and Scanners, so I'm not sure that this is possible.

While working with Photoshop CS 3, this program shuts frequently down. I have to save my work after every action. I lost already a lot of work.

1) Leopard
2) Snow Leopard
Is it just me, or is some of the icons such as Aperture, Nikon, Tweet, and Phone View in the Snow Leopard lighter vs the other icons in the Snow Leopard and all the icons in the Leopard screenshot? I edited these in Snow Leopard and Leopard and it seems the icons done in SL are lighter than the ones in Leopard. Am I seeing stuff or is it really lighter vs the others?
Apple used Photoshop CS3 to make the Snow Leopard background
What my question is, why? CS4 has been out for a while.
I'm new to this forum, mostly because I've had such ease of use with macs over the years that I've had to search support forums. But with Snow Leopard less than 24 hours old, I've had my system "crash" 3 seperate times.
While running Photoshop CS2, the system will lock up. After a few seconds the system moves to a solid blue screen and then restarts the OS. It's almost like all programs running, including Finder are forced quit. There is "bong" over the system starting up or anything.
To clarify, I'm running a brand Mac Mini, 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. At the time of the crash I had nothing more than iTunes and PS CS2 running. During each crash I was doing simple tasks, a color selection, opening an effects panel and opening a very small smart object.
Also to note, I downloaded Safari 4 months ago when it was still in beta, and had no problems. The Safari that comes packaged with Snow Leopard is extremly sluggish and has forced me to use FireFox.
I just upgraded to Snow Leopard and CS5.5 about three weeks ago. All was working fine and then two days ago Photoshop stopped opening files. The Adobe crash report indicated that it's an Apple bug on file save/open, and when I did some research on the internet it indicated that (even from back i 2009) this is known bug.Â

why are my saved photoshop file icons pixelated? I have not changed any settings but suddenly my saved file icons have become pixelated. The file opens normally and seems fine.

We recently updated from 10.4 to 10.6 and now every time I open Photoshop (4.0) it runs for maybe 30 seconds then stops and gives a message that Photoshop unexpectedly quit. I really need this program for my school work.

Ever since installing Snow Leopard, whenever I create a new image in Photoshop and save it to a file, and then I go into that file to look for it, it is missing. The only way I can find the file is if I enter the name of the image in the finder window and do a search - then it says that the image is in the image folder - where I put it - but when I go there, it isn't there. So the only way to find and then open that newly created image, is to remember what I called it, and then enter it's name in the finder serach window. The other problem that I notice with Snow Leopard is that the newly created icon images in finder are all blurry. The blurriness seems to be random. Some are, some are not.

I just bought a new iMAC 24" and was about to buy Photoshop Elements 6 from Amazon. Then I read some disturbing reviews about this latest version not working very well, if at all on Macs. Some recommended going with Elements 4, but finding a new version of "4" is impossible.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to upgrade my aging iMac to be as compatible as possible, due to Diablo 3 requiring a minimum OS 10.6.8 to operate. My current specs as below:iMac Core 2 Duo 2.66GHz. 20 Inch. 4GB Ram. 320GB HDD. Nvidia 9400M Graphics Card..Currently running 10.5.8. As previously i tried to upgrade to Lion but it says my computer is unable to process installation, I am not sure if it's because i did not upgrade from Snow Leopard. Am trying to use this current mac as long as possible because i think Apple should be introducing a new generation of iMacs soon this year.

(other than installing SL and finding out directly of course :-)
I'm by no means very tech savvy. When I tried to install Windows XP (Home Edition) on my Macbook Pro via bootcamp, I experienced a bit of trouble. I partitioned the hard drive as instructed, then inserted the Windows XP installation disk and hit continue. This is when the computer more or less took over and started doing it's own thing. After a while the screen went blue and the windows install prompts were flashing across the screen. At this point I'm still thinking all is good; I accepted the terms of use etc.
However, once the install was complete, it kept asking me to insert the Windows XP Home edition CD. Even though it was already in the disk drive. I tried to hit continue but it kept taking me back to the screen asking for the disk to be inserted. Eventually I quit out of the install (upon doing so the screen prompted me the install did not work), ejected the windows install cd, and restarted my computer back into osx. Is the newest version of osx, snow leopard, not compatible with microsoft xp? Do I need to purchase vista or windows 7 if I am to run boot camp successfully?
I was just wondering if Final Cut Studio (with Final Cut Pro 5) will be compatible with Snow Leopard. I am just going to into my final year of a media degree and 2 of my modules are largely production based so will need FCP to work
View 5 Replies View RelatedSo, I wanted to get a version of photoshop for my mac, so I googled in and I found out that at the end of March, Adobe is releasing Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 for the Mac. Does anybody have anything to say about this? Is it a good editor that does all the main functions of CS2 and CS3?
View 1 Replies View RelatedA couple of days ago I noticed that all the images on my mac had no icons anyway, whether they be PNG's, JPEG's or GIF's, they won't open in preview or quick-look only photoshop CS4; even photos that have never been through photoshop. What isalso weird is that I haven't used photoshop in months! So i have no idea what has caused this.
