When using geekbench, will you get an accurate score from the 32-bit system, or would you need to use a 64-bit system in order to see what your true score is? I only ask because I don't mind spending $20... but I'd rather spend that one something that I will use more than one time.
Currently my 2008 2.8 oct core mac pro with 16 gb's of ram is getting me an average of about 9250.
Can Safari be configured to display bookmark icons in the bookmark bar? I love having that feature in Firefox. I like having just the icon in my bookmark bar; that way, I can fit in more bookmarks and it's less cluttered.Does anyone know how to display bookmark icons in the bookmark bar in Safari? Can you get different skins for Safari so that I could get that feature?
View 24 Replies View RelatedI have a bookmarked a reputable company for easy access.Log-in icon, easy and secure, no problems.Weeks ago, I entered a wrong password, and a page stating "error" appeared. log-in was successful when reset and again, secure, and safe.
Now this page is still appearing any time I press the log-in button to access the secure logging in page, when I go to bookmark. OK, I removed the whole bookmark from safari, accessed the general web site of the company, and whenever I try to access the log-in page, (not even bookmarked!) I immediately get the same error page!, again and again, without even entering any data or user name or attempted password. This "error" page must have been stored somewhere on my MBA.How can I remove this and start a fresh bookmark?
I just got my new mac pro 3.33 up and running, and I;m getting a bit of a low geekbench score compare to other systems like it. I also have more RAM than some of the systems getting 15000.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have Windows 7 Ultimate x64 RTM via BootCamp on my Unibody Macbook.
Specs:
2.0 Core 2
4GB DDR3
The 64-bit kernel was used for both the 32 and the 64-bit SL tests.
The 64-bit version of Geekbench for Mac is a slightly older version (2.1.2 vs 2.1.4) not sure if that makes a difference.
The Difference between Win7 x64 and SL x64 was very small. What I found interesting was the large difference between the 32-bit tests.
I just upgraded my iMac i7 to 8GB Ram and ran geekbench again but there was no difference to the prior 4GB setup.. even in 64bit it doesn't make a difference.

I can't make sense if people really are trying to overclock or just somehow are making Geekbench think they have a faster CPU/are editing their scores somehow. How in the world could one overclock the iMac when cooling is a serious concern?

Quitting Safari after deleting a bookmark results in the deleted bookmark reappearing when I reopen Safari. Any suggestions for fixing this problem. This problem does not occur if I close but do not quit Safari.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI was in the organize bookmark place when i made the folder and i started dragging some bookmarks into the S folder, one at a time since it would not let me do more. Then, just as things were going according to plan, i had some bookmarks I could not drag into the folder no matter how many different ways i tried. and then to my surprise, this folder named "S" was not on the bookmark menu, even though that's where i created it to be. the folder still shows up when i go to organize but I want it to show up where all my other bookmarks are. I also want to be able to put those other links in the folder.
I set up multiple users on my Mom's iMac and wanted to import her firefox bookmarks to the new user. Every time I try to export/import HTML using the Organize Bookmarks Menu it never works.

Restarted. Nothing seems to get it back. An ideas as to what happened, or how I can fix it?
I have a problem with Mozilla Firefox 3.04. Whenever I create a new bookmark, by any method, it replaces the address value with the an address that I visited in the recent past. And this address can change as time goes on, so the address value for the bookmark seems to be dynamic.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm switching from Windows to Mac (I think). One frustration is that I imported my bookmarks from Internet Explorer into Safari. No problem there. But they are arranged alphabetically, which is of no use to me. I want to organize them with the ones I use most at the top, etc.
So I go to the place where you organize bookmarks and I can drag and drop bookmarks to any position on the list. But when I drag a folder of bookmarks I can't drop it between two other folders (so that it show up between the two). Instead, I can only put the folder inside one of the other folders.
So I've been searching the net and the solution people seem to offer is "drag the folder to the top of the list...". This is ridiculous. This would mean that I would have to plan strategically and first put the folder I want to be at the bottom, at the top, and proceed until lastly I place the one I want at the top. Of course if anywhere along the line I screw up, then I guess you start over again?
ANyone else have this stupid problem? I want to bookmark a sight, and I get this crap:I have to click on each folder to see which one is the folder (Music, Recipes, Funny stuff, etc) that I want to save the site in. What the hell?

I've tried quitting safari, I've rebuilt permissions. The bookmarks are still there - I can 'show all bookmarks' from the bookmark menu - just the bar has gone

Recently I installed SafariStand and loved how you could add a new tab by a bookmark on the bookmark bar rather than having to click on the little plus sign way in the corner in Safari 4. I also tried to add a close tab bookmark as well but have no lucking in finding out how.
