Both machines use the latest Lion OS software. Moving between two offices in two countries, I plan to use my iMini as my desktop at both offices, i.e. disconnect and carry to other office and plug into 27" Apple monitor. EVERYTHING is the same on both ends. But how do I sync my laptop with what I do on the iMini?
So I already had an iPad mini which was synced to an iTunes account on a Dell laptop running Windows. However, the laptop which it was synced to broke down and I am unable to switch it on so I decided to purchase a 2014 MacBook Pro Retina, which I received a couple of days ago.
I set up the laptop and I created an iTunes account with the same Apple ID as my iPad.
I then purchased a couple of songs on that iTunes account. I then tried to sync the music from my iPad to my new library and visa-versa, but I got the message warning me that it would erase all of the songs on my iPad.
How would I be able to transfer the purchases from my iPad to the library without losing anything?

I have a Mac Mini with OS 10.5.6 and I can't get it to sync with my iphone. Under the bluetooth icon at the top of the screen I've selected Bluetooth setup assistant. It asks me to select a pass key, i type one in and then type it in on the phone and it says they are paired on the phone.
On the Bluetooth setup assistant it says there were no configurable services on your device. What I was hoping to do was automatically download the pictures from my phone into iphoto via the bluetooth. I'm not even sure if that can happen.
This is my first mac and I'm not very familiar with the extra things it can do. Can someone tell me if downloading my pictures via bluetooth is possible and how to do it? Will it try and answer my calls via the bluetooth or will I still have the phone ring and be able to talk on it like normal even if it's connected to the computer?
I Need to find a To Do check list app that I can use on my iMac that will sync to my iPhone and iPad mini. All the ones I've come across do not sync to all three.
The audio and video are out of sync after importing to FCP 10.1 from my mini DV tape source. The audio and video are in sync coming out of the tape deck but they are out of sync by over a second in FCP. How to correct this?
I have a Nokia N78 cellphone which I can sync to my Macbook Pro using iSync. This works fine for photos, iCal, contacts but I what I would like to do is to be able to back up and view my sms on my Mac. Does anybody know if there is anyway of achieving this (free if possible)? If not, can anybody recommend a phone (other than the obvious iPhone) that has this syncing capability with Macs? I am looking to update my phone soon anyway.
A year ago I tested Spanning Sync for syncing my iCal with Google calendar. It worked out very well and I subscribed for one year (25 USD). Now there is version 2 around the corner that will add contact sync support. I have tried the beta and that works very well too.
My subscription is to end soon and I am thinking about extending. That would be another 25 USD for a year or 65 USD for life long subscription. Meanwhile I encountered another product called Busy Sync. I does almost the same (except contact syncing). With a coupon a single license per computer is 20 USD aka 40 USD for both of my macs.
I use iCloud for syning Mail & Notes. Contacts, Calendars and Documents & Data. I am 100% sure that in the past in iTunes/Info tab "Sync contacts" and "Sync Mail Accounts" showed all my different Address Book groups and different email account to be synced. Since recently they seem disappeared and I only see my different Calendars to be synced. Why are both Sync contacts empty and Sync Mail Accounts both emtpy/dimmed. BTW if I check Sync contacts I get a message that they are synced through iCloud etc. etc. Now if I enable on my Mac another email account in Apple Mail it is not added to my iPhone/iPad anymore. How can I change that ?

I just got a mac mini and was wondering if it's possible to just take the hard drive out of my macbook and install it in the mac mini and then boot up. Will it work? Or do I have to set it all up again? The reason I want to do this is because the mac mini has a 320 GB HD and my macbook 500GB, so I want the bigger drive in the mac mini. But, I don't have a "transitional" hard drive to throw everything onto before I wipe the macbook hard drive and install it in the mac mini.
I have an Early 2009 Mac Mini with Mini DVI and Mini DisplayPort. And I have two 1080p HDTVs. The Mac Mini is capable of dual display, and I've gotten it to work before, so the issue is not the TV or Mac. And I have tried both Mirroring and No Mirroring.
I got a Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter (#5311) and a Mini-DVI to HDMI Adapter (#4852) both from MonoPrice. And for some reason I can't get the Mac Mini to dual display, it's only one or the other.
Before I had a Mini Displayport Male and USB Male AUDIO to HDMI Female Converting Adapter (#5969) and I got video on both HDTVs, but not audio at the same time b/c one was USB and one was TOSLINK.
I'm not sure why I can't get video on both monitors. Any help?
I need to connect my 09' Mac Mini to my Yamaha RX-V2700 receiver which outputs to my Sony XBR HDTV. I know the mini has both mini-dvi to dvi and mini-dp to dvi or hdmi available via adapters. I was thinking to go with option 1 however I was wondering what is your opinions? Is mini-display port better over mini-dvi or are they the same? Audio will be carried over optical toslink.
Option 1: Using mini-dvi adapter to dvi: Connect Dvi-Hdmi cable to receiver and output audio with toslink adapter.
Option 2: Using mini-dp adapter to dvi or hdmi: Connect Dvi-Hdmi cable to receiver and output audio with toslink adapter.
Hows the performance of the 2.53ghz mac mini vs the 2008 macbook aluminium? My macbook has 4GB RAM, and is mostly decent but performance drops when running some photoshop plugins (which I use frequently). Im looking for a desktop upgrade, and since Im already using an external monitor and keyboard the mac mini seems more suitable than the imac.
But is 2.53ghz a significant upgrade from 2.0ghz on the macbook?
Ok, so I got a question. I am pretty sure my 2007 macbook has a mini DVI for the monitor connection (I could be wrong?). I am curious if it is the same port that is on the macbook pro (I noticed when ordering the peripherals say mini DVI but not sure if something has changed).
I'm just curious cause I want to know if I need to order a new mini DVI to DVI adaptor (plus one to convert mini DVI to VGA? or whatever it is to connect to my tv using the port that has three jacks - one for video and two for stereo. don't know the term for that connection). Or if I can just use the ones I have now.
I'm working on my Mac, but take my Macbook Air with me on travel. How can I sync all data (+email) from my Mac to my Air, so I have everything with me on travel.
Since the MacBook Air has limited hard drive space, I'm wondering - Would it be possible to "sync" things like music, photos, videos, etc. - like I can with my iPhone? I'm thinking I could sync the MacBook Air with my desktop, and take with me only the photos/music/etc that I want to travel with.
If I can't resist and buy the 11" air I'll have the air, a 15" i7 MBP, and a 27" iMac. Assuming I keep them all and use them for different reasons, how do I keep my data sync'ed between them all. Clearly I can't keep as much on the air, but I have a basic data set of docs (office type stuff, some graphics, some programming) that I'd like to be the same on all the machines.
I have an iPhone that syncs well with my Mobile Me service and my Mac Book Pro. I am thinking of getting a MacBook Air for travel. Is it possible to sync everything so that my OSX Mail and iCal and Contacts will be everywhere when I need them?
Is there any good sync software between PC and Mac. I have a work PC and i want to sychronise a few folders between my Mac and PC. Is there any good solution (both free and paid).
I plug in my devices in and receive power to them, but my computer won't recognize or sync them up. I've tried to use isync to find devices and it comes up blank. Both usb ports give power to devices, but I can't sync them up.
