View 9 RepliesI have a Nokia N78 cellphone which I can sync to my Macbook Pro using iSync. This works fine for photos, iCal, contacts but I what I would like to do is to be able to back up and view my sms on my Mac. Does anybody know if there is anyway of achieving this (free if possible)? If not, can anybody recommend a phone (other than the obvious iPhone) that has this syncing capability with Macs? I am looking to update my phone soon anyway.
View 1 Replies View RelatedA year ago I tested Spanning Sync for syncing my iCal with Google calendar. It worked out very well and I subscribed for one year (25 USD). Now there is version 2 around the corner that will add contact sync support. I have tried the beta and that works very well too.
My subscription is to end soon and I am thinking about extending. That would be another 25 USD for a year or 65 USD for life long subscription. Meanwhile I encountered another product called Busy Sync. I does almost the same (except contact syncing). With a coupon a single license per computer is 20 USD aka 40 USD for both of my macs.
Is there a way to sync my Facebook Phonebook with my Address Book?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI use iCloud for syning Mail & Notes. Contacts, Calendars and Documents & Data. I am 100% sure that in the past in iTunes/Info tab "Sync contacts" and "Sync Mail Accounts" showed all my different Address Book groups and different email account to be synced. Since recently they seem disappeared and I only see my different Calendars to be synced. Why are both Sync contacts empty and Sync Mail Accounts both emtpy/dimmed. BTW if I check Sync contacts I get a message that they are synced through iCloud etc. etc. Now if I enable on my Mac another email account in Apple Mail it is not added to my iPhone/iPad anymore. How can I change that ?

Since the MacBook Air has limited hard drive space, I'm wondering - Would it be possible to "sync" things like music, photos, videos, etc. - like I can with my iPhone? I'm thinking I could sync the MacBook Air with my desktop, and take with me only the photos/music/etc that I want to travel with.
View 6 Replies View RelatedIf I can't resist and buy the 11" air I'll have the air, a 15" i7 MBP, and a 27" iMac. Assuming I keep them all and use them for different reasons, how do I keep my data sync'ed between them all. Clearly I can't keep as much on the air, but I have a basic data set of docs (office type stuff, some graphics, some programming) that I'd like to be the same on all the machines.

Ok I have a Mac Pro and Macbook Pro here and I'd like to do the following:
1. Have some way to sync contacts between the MP and MBP, my iPhone syncs with the Mac Pro.
2. Sync files, namely the mail folder, documents, iTunes etc.
Now for No. 2 CCC with its addon might be ok, but is there any other ways?

Moving between two offices in two countries, I plan to use my iMini as my desktop at both offices, i.e. disconnect and carry to other office and plug into 27" Apple monitor. I just bought a new Macbook Pro and I cannot get my IPhone 4S to sync with itunes without deleting more than half of my data. I have authorized the computer already and I went through and checked all the boxes for the information I wanted to sync - but the info will not transfer and about half of my Apps were removed from my phone (without being added to itunes on the computer) - I had to go back and reinstall the ones I lost to my phone.

how do I sync my calendar on my iphone to the one in my macbook pro?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've got an iPhone 4 and a MacBook Pro which I use for work. The help desk at work was able to set up my iPhone to receive both email and calendar appointments. On my MacBook I'm also able to get email, but for some reason I can't get the calendar function to work, using iCal. I work as a freelancer, so have a number of different calendars and not being able to sync this one makes things difficult. The help desk had a quick look at it, but said that as I'm freelance they're not required to spend any time on it (and they've got lots on their plate anyway),For me the oddity is that my iPhone has no problems, but the MacBook does (and gives me hope that there might be some small setting that I've overlooked that would fix this). So, here's what i've got. The bits in bold are the fields and the details that follow are the settings I've entered> For obvious reasons, I've removed any information that might be sensitive (e.g. usernames, password, company name).

Guess this means Mail is out of luck, too!
