where is the fan exhaust located on my uMB and how do I clean it out?
View 4 Replies View RelatedThe fan was rattling so loud forever so I cleaned it. Unfortunately I broke 3 blades.
then the noise completely stopped, so I was happy, but soon found out its probably not working because newly downloaded Istat shows exhaust: 0rpm.
i opened mac again to check wiring, connection etc.
still 0 rpm...does this happen often?

Systematic Endpoint antivius protection installed on my computer. Recently I have been seeing high CPU temps - around 70/75 and fan exhausts around 4500. I have been researching on other forums and I have seen that it could be the virus protection that is causing this. Now I know that I don't really need the virus protection because well, I have a mac. So I was wondering how can I successfully uninstall the protection. And if anybody on here disagrees with it being the virus protection, then what do you think it could be? Right now I am only running Firefox for surfing and Itunes.

I was trying to download the free version of a game, and immediately after i clicked download, i started to see the computer slow down a bit. However, I just thought that it was a lag and it would fix itself when the game completely dowloaded. Afterwards, it said that there were a few errors that occured during the download, and asked me if I wanted to continue to play. I clicked yes, because I didn't think it would be much of a problem. Afterwards, the mouse was stuck on the middle of the screen, and no matter how much I wanted to click out of the window, quit Safari, or even restart my computer, the mouse would continue to go back to the one spot. I have absolutely no idea what to do to restart the computer, or quit Safari. All I have done is just sleep the computer, but that hasn't helped it at all.

2006 24 inch intel iMac won't turn on?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI always put my 24" iMac to sleep each night when I go to bed by clicking on Finder/sleep. Twice in four days, I've tried to wake it up the next morning by touching the shift key and discovered that it had somehow turned off overnight. I had to turn it on manually with the button in the back. It may be no big deal, but it has me puzzled and a bit frustrated.

I want to turn my iMovie project into a DVD, what do I do?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a 27' iMac with internal SDD and HDD. I really like how it is so quiet. It worked really well out of the box though had a glitch which required a reinstall of Lion. Now the HDD is constantly spinning even if there are no apps open that require r/w access to the HDD. I've used pmset to turn it off after 1 min but I'd rather it didn't come on at all unless i send something to/from the HDD. Any ideas how to configure this correctly?
