I just bought a hd camera and i want to use this function: Transferring files to a computer or ftp server. You can wirelessly transfer recordings directly to a mac computer running an ftp server.
Hi. I've enabled web, wiki and opendirectory in lion server, but I can't enable users to change their passwords, because the option to modify my default web site in the Web pane in server admin is greyed out.'ve read the documentation, but I'm stuck at this point.
My apple computer refuses to turn on when me card reader is connected via the usb . It works ok no problem , it seem ok to me is there a problem with it should i be concerned?
I was trying to download the free version of a game, and immediately after i clicked download, i started to see the computer slow down a bit. However, I just thought that it was a lag and it would fix itself when the game completely dowloaded. Afterwards, it said that there were a few errors that occured during the download, and asked me if I wanted to continue to play. I clicked yes, because I didn't think it would be much of a problem. Afterwards, the mouse was stuck on the middle of the screen, and no matter how much I wanted to click out of the window, quit Safari, or even restart my computer, the mouse would continue to go back to the one spot. I have absolutely no idea what to do to restart the computer, or quit Safari. All I have done is just sleep the computer, but that hasn't helped it at all.
I always put my 24" iMac to sleep each night when I go to bed by clicking on Finder/sleep. Twice in four days, I've tried to wake it up the next morning by touching the shift key and discovered that it had somehow turned off overnight. I had to turn it on manually with the button in the back. It may be no big deal, but it has me puzzled and a bit frustrated.
Info: iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.1), Iphone and MobileMe
It just started doing this recentley. If i leave it on for a long length of time or overnight i have to unplug it for a while, plug it back in, and then it will turn on.
Info: iMac (21.5-inch Mid 2010), Mac OS X (10.6.8)
I have a 27' iMac with internal SDD and HDD. I really like how it is so quiet. It worked really well out of the box though had a glitch which required a reinstall of Lion. Now the HDD is constantly spinning even if there are no apps open that require r/w access to the HDD. I've used pmset to turn it off after 1 min but I'd rather it didn't come on at all unless i send something to/from the HDD. Any ideas how to configure this correctly?
Using my iMac today working away and all of a sudden the screen went black, there was no power to the computer at all. I have checked the fuse and that is ok. I am getting power to everything else. I reset the SMC as per Apple instructions on their website. Again nothing.
I then left it turned off for a good 5 mins and then turned on the power. The fans turned on and the mac then chimed, the creen came on and I thought everything was ok. Then the computer turned off, fans and hard drive sped It didnt even start booting to the Apple logo or the log on screen.
I am thinking this is a power issue within the computer and this will need to be replaced. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. My iMac is a 2008 21inch iMac. It is connected to a APC UPS which again all power ports are working, as I have tested that with a desk lamp. What I do normally is turn the UPS when I have shutdown my Mac in the evening and then power it up next day. While the UPS is doing is power self test I then boot the Mac, I am wondering if I should just leave the UPS turned on all the time and just unplug my iMac when I am not using it. Sometimes I do pop it to sleep last thing at night, but recently I just turn it off.
It has had heavy use so I am wondering if it is indeed curtains and I need to buy a new iMac. Maybe it is an excuse to buy a 27inch one! (Would be nice)
my imac is about 3months out of the box and a few days ago i went to turn it on and....nothing. i could hear the start-up chime and the mac clicking and making "doing" noises, also i could clearly hear the volume toggle up and down. That said, the screen remained, well, dead and just black. So, the first thing on my agenda for the weekend was to take my imac into the shop. As i was organising the equipment, i tried one more time to turn it on.It worked. For me, that's a bad thing as my mac may do this again. It was out of action for 3 days now it's back. So now i am on here.
