Intel Mac :: Try To Open An Adobe File Online Internet Browser Shuts Down
Jun 10, 2012
When I try to open an adobe file online my internet browser shuts down, and displays an error message stating unexpected error adobe cool type plug in. I'm not sure what they are referring to. I have tried to reinstall adobe with no luck.
Whenever I open a pdf, adobe starts to open every pdf file on my computer. Does anyone know of any way to stop this? I couldn't really find anything on search. I am running OSX 10.6.3
I do not have a problem with the Internet while I am using the system. However, when I wake the iMac up in the morning, there is no Internet connection.I have to use System Preferences/Network/ and select the network.iMac / Intel / Mac OS X version 10.7.3
Info: iMac (21.5-inch Mid 2011), Mac OS X (10.7.3)
While in Safari, I typed in internet expoler thinking I would be getting that browser to use.Immediately the screen said I won a prize and all I needed to do was click to answer a quick survey. I thought something was no right so I hit the back arrow to bcak out and a box came up saying " are you sure you wnat to leave" Lomg story short this bug will not let me exit Safari, all the options are greyed out ( like empty cache, etc.) I was able to force quit, and reboot computer, whne I went back to safari I got the same take this survey for a prize script and the only way out was to force quit.
My 2 1/2 yr. old granddaughter has once again gotten a hold of my keyboard. I have managed to resize the browser window. Trouble is all of the text is so large that in an open window I have to scroll side to side to view the whole page. The text is also slightly blurry.
I have a macbook pro and have recently noticed that when initially loading any of, google chrome, firefox or safari it takes a very long time for the internet to load the webpages.
It says that there is a full wireless connection but will not load the webpage.
Once the webpage has finally loaded after about a minute, subsequent browsing is as fast as can be expected upon my broadband connection, loading pages in <1s.
However the problem reappears whenever I open a new window, or anything else that might use the internet such as the app store, itunes or apple software update.
My main work station (MacPro) doesn't go online anymore. The connection to router/modem is fine (I can access the router via browser interface, and my iphone as well as my old PowerBook go online without any problem through that same router and modem). First, internet connection was absent after wakeup from sleep mode. After putting the machine back to sleep and waking it thereafter, connection was re-established. Not anymore now.
All of this being the case whether connected via Ethernet or WLAN, as well as after restart.
Info: Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.4), 6 GB 1066 MHz DDR3 Memory, ATI Radeon HD 4870
I have just installed Maverick. When I use Safari and try and open a Pdf file from a webpage I get a black screen and tells me to download Adobe. I have reinstalled adobe reader but still don't get anywhere. I can open any pdf files I have previously stored or have in downloads or in documents.
I just download the CD and am getting "unable to expand "xxxxxxx.zip" into "Music". (Error 2- No such file or directory). I then tried to open it in StuffIt Expander and it say the archive may be damaged. Could you direct me on how to make this work. I'm running the newest verision of lion on a 2006 iMac.
So, I am applying for a job at Staples (low I know, but I'm starting grad school in the fall so hopefully it will get better), but to search their jobs and access their online application you need to you either Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator....
Not even PCs really use those anymore! Since I have a mac, I do not have access to either of these browsers. I feel like I should boycott applying to Staples just for this.
Is there some sort of free app I can download to make Safari or Firefox be compatible like Explorer? Or do I need to go and borrow a friend's computer?
I had a problem in my Lion OS in MBA (Mid2011). I did not back up the system with time machine. So I decided to reinstall lion online. I restarted the MBA. holding command+R. It goes to the Recovery. I erased all of my Hard disc(ssd). I am using a wifi Internet. Then I clicked on the reinstall lion. It started downloading. The remaining time is 400 hours. I have a connection Problem, it goes off every 12 hours. The problem is: will it download the rest of the lion OS or it will start from the beginning when the connection of wifi goes off?
I received an email attachment with a .pub file extension, but my MAC can't open it. I saw that some users had success with ZamZar or Adobe sites, but I can't access them since the file won't download.
I was filming a video in Photo Booth from my webcam, and I assumed that quitting Photo Booth would stop the recording. I was wrong. It seems to have not closed the file properly, and now I am unable to open the file or do anything with it. how I can recover it and make it openable?
I got a DVD file in ISO 9660 (Joliet) format. I tried to play it in DVD player but I always get the notification ”the media is not supperoted”.
When I open the folder i have two subfolders AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS. The first one seems to be empty, the other one has files with extensions .bup, .vob, .ifo.
I read on the community that ISO files can be read on Mac but I don't know how.
i share a house with my brother, lucky me He got a PC with Vista in his room. I got a lovely imac in my room. He gets the broadband cable direct into his room. It averages 40 mbps download , 1.67 upload. We use a wireless Netgear router one thats suppose to handle N wireless and i pick the wireless up on the airport extreme in my imac. Unfortunately i only get about 12 mbps download , 1.20 upload, even though i'm only in the next room. We both play WOW online. It works so much better on his PC cos of the internet speed. Could I use a gigabit ethernet connection between the PC and imac, to share the internet and still play WOW independently?
Although my husband can open an .MPEG video file from my Sony DCRSX40 camera on his older PC, I just cannot oepen any of them on my new iMac. (They play well in the camera). QuickTime give me the error message that I do ntot have the proper video codec.
