I changed my outgoing font to French but I can't remember how I did that. The American fla is up in the upper right corner. When I compose, it thinks I'm composing in French (with accent marks where I don't want them and the spell check marks most words as misspelled). No problem with incoming mail?
View 1 RepliesI am either too stupid or Yosemite's mail does not work the way I'm accustomed to. In all previous iterations you select as many individual addressee's as you wanted and place them in the address heading. I have not found a way to do that in Yosemite. You must choose them individually and place in the address header one at a time. I know about groups but that is not a good avenue as many of my emails go to random people depending on content. If the above is not possible do have an email you reccomend that would let me send to multiple addressees in one operation. I do not use Gmail, Yahoo, etc. . . My email is from 3rd party provider.Â
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have experienced problems with a POP outgoing server for some time on both my MacBook and IMac - incoming is OK. I have contacted the service provider and they say that all codes and log-in details are correct and that they can send from Webmail server ( and so can I). I can also use the outgoing server on my iPhone so it suggests that something is wrong in the settings on the iMac and MacBook - but they are correct and the same as the iPhone.I notice that this server shows 'offline' in th setting box - is this a clue?. I have not found anyway of making this server go on-line.

I have the newest imac and had to have a new hard drive put in, and now when I try to send an email with gmail it won't go. I also downloaded OS X Yosemite also yesterday, so I don' know if my gmail isn't working because of the new hard , or the new OS X I downloaded.
I can send emails from my Ipad with no problem, but not from my Imac, and I,m only 5ft from the Imac.

I have been trying to send an email using my gmail account on my iMac. It keeps bouncing back to me saying "Cannot send message using the server gmail." I don't have the issue on my iPhone or iPad not sure what the issue is with my iMac.Â

The problem is, we are in Costa Rica, on vacation, right now and he thought we had a copy of Windows, but we don't! So now the MacBook boot up to a DOS screen saying, "No bootable devise -- insert boot disk and press any key." And of course I don't have a bootable devise. Is there anyway to revert back to windows? I have tried holding down the escape key which then gives me the same message about the bootable devise, over and over.

It's like it's reverting back to some random version of the OS O_o; I don't have anything like Deep Freeze running, though, nor is this drive set up for Time Machine. It has my MobileMe freaking the heck out too, it keeps saying it needs to rebuild x, y, or z when I log in.

My Macbook Pro was imaged through my work - might they have set something up that can revert settings?Â
