I used to have both on the screen at the same time, but now its as if the screen is too big and I have to move the mouse down to access the dashboard and then up again to access the menu bar.

I had LogMeIn installed on my iMac and it worked fine for a while. Then the icon for the program in the menu bar at the top of the screen went gray. When I hover the mouse over the icon a spinning pinwheel appears, so I can't click the icon to start the program. I deleted the program and then reinstalled it, but the gray icon and spinning wheel never whent away. how to delete the spinning wheel

I put "levelwidget" on the dashboard - it is supposed to make a macbook into a Level. Sounded interesting...now I regret! The widget is corrupted and now when I try to open the dashboard it immediately closes and gives me an error message "you can't open the application motion because power pc applications are no longer supported" How do I delete this widget so I can open the dashboard. I've tried to look up the file, but can't seem to find dashboard widget files. Â

It looked legit because I wondered how it got onto my dashboard. I installed it but when I moved through the steps it then listed a price which I thought was suspicious. When I googled it many responses said it was a fraud. What can any of you in the community tell me about MacKeeper. If it's a fraud, how do I uninstall it. I tried dropping it in the trash, but it popped out.

I used GRAB to grab a couple of maps off of mapquest. I couldn't find them afterwards and I discovered they were in dashboard. Wierd??
Now I can't get rid of them. I've tried dragging them to the trash, clicking on them, trying to find them in the Finder. Nada. Nothing. I can't figure out how to get rid of them. When I clicked on one of them the entire machine froze and I had to turn the power off to get it to start up again.
one has a broken scroll wheel,one is perfectly functional,and another is still new in the box.when plugged into my Mac mini the all of them can trigger expose (squeeze) and dashboard (middle button) every time. right click works beautifully.however when i plug them into my MacBook and set it up for spaces (middle button) and expose (squeeze) - neither of the functions work.

The upper right corner notification center button. One click for sidebar, two clicks for full screen notifications center. Â
Right now the old dashboard is pretty much useless with its ancient widgets. And launchpad is rather useless with the new Yosemite Spotlight.

I recently plugged my MacBook Pro back into my external monitor and half the dashboard display was blurry and seemed to use a lower colour resolution (they colours appears bold and limited). Most of the time when I turn on the Mac I get the white screen and question mark appear. Sometimes it will turn on and work. But often the coloured spinning wheel starts up especially after trying to use iphoto it freezes and a couple of times the screen has then gone black. The computer seemed pretty warm yesterday when this happened.Â

In the above picture, you can see that the time machine menu bar icon is "grey" instead of "black".Â
It seems that backups occur as normal (when I click on the icon, and choose "Backup now", it seems to backup).
When I click "Enter Time machine", everything seems to work as normal. I can see the latest backup that I made by clicking on "Backup now".Â
- I have two external hard drives that I use for time machine backups.
- I use OSX 10.9.3
- Macbook Pro 6,2 Inter Core i7 2.8Ghz, 8GB Ram, 500GB HDD,Â
I have tried:
- Disconnecting both the external hard drives and reconnecting.
- Restarting my Mac.Â

Just today I've noticed that the time machine icon in my menu bar won't stop spinning. Finally, I clicked it and it says that it has been "preparing backup" all day long. I stopped the backup just to see if it was a one-time glitch. One hour later, the same thing happened. I gave it thirty minutes and the entire time it said it was "preparing backup"
How can I fix this? I already tried turning TM on and off, that didn't do the trick.
