My wife works for a local hospital and she has classes that she has to take online for continuing education. I have tried to get her videos to open and they won't. on the page that opens up it say we need Flip4mac, so downloaded it and nothing!

I have a few video files in the NSV file format which refuse to play on the Mac. I get sound, but no visual.
I've tried playing them in VLC player and MPlayer, but still no luck.
So i have some videos that's been downloading in portions (ie 15/50mbs slices). I clicked on it and nothing happens nor does any video app can be used to open it. I'm assuming that I have to compress it and make it into one file. I did, and when I clicked on it, it started to decompress back to how it was first downloaded! On a PC you would use winzip but I'm confuse as to how to play these files!
VLC would not play either file.

I'm sick of watching each individually, and I also didn't like the size that cover flow shoes when going through them by it.
Quick look is good, but sometimes it crashes on my computer (I don't know why).
Is there a solution by Quick time, that can run several videos, one after another? or maybe a way to use automator for that?
Why I can?t see some sites that before I use to see it?

Can I play a dvd on my iMac to watch on my wifi tv? Can built in Airport send dvd to tv? I actually have an external router connected now, and can stream Netflix on my tv, but not everything is offered streaming. Also, we own some dvds that we'd like to watch. My dvd player is broken and I don't want to buy a new one if I don't have to. I also have an old (1st gen) mac mini that's just sitting in a closet- could that be used as a dvd player?

About a month ago Netflix started giving me problems while watching instantly. Audio wasn't syncing with video and it would skip and freeze. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Silverlight, but that didn't work. After corresponding via email with micrsoft silverlight support and a complete uninstall and reinstall of silverlight and testing it on other websites, we determined that silverlight is not the issue. I then tried Netflix support, which was terrible and of no help at all. Now Netflix crashes all browser (Safari, Firefox, & Chrome) upon loading. Netflix streaming works fine on all other computers in the house. I have all of the most recent updates of all browsers, I've tried repairing disk permissions and I'm running OS X 10.6.8 with all current software updates. I'm not sure what else to do.

I can watch movies from Netflix on our Mac book. But when I plug the computer into my TVs hdmi port I get sound but no picture. When I record a video and then click to watch it, the recording screen will go black and the little color wheel will show up and long story short, I havent been able to watch any videos for a few days (for the first couple hours after the stuff on my old imac -> new imac, I could watch videos perfectly fine. Maybe its because I am currently updating iPhoto and its taking a veryyyy long time.) But...with my old iMac, I had about 10 slides of extra photobooth effects. It slowed down photobooth TREMENDOUSLY but I didnt know how to uninstall them.Unfortunately, those same effects have moved over to my new mac and its driving me nuts. I thought that was the culprit and tried uninstalling them. I cant do Library>Compositions>erase because when I do so, theres nothing there to delete!

I have tried moving them to the trash, as well as using the move to trash button. They seam to go to the trash can but when I delete the trash they are still in the file. I am trying to clear out some old files so that I can have room on my start up disk. My Disk is full and it is making it hard for me to open more then one file. I am looking to watch live TV on my home office Mac Pro. I am confused in regards to how it all ties together. Here are a few details;
i have verizon fios tv
i dont want to run extra cables from a fios box ( if possible)
i have 2 monitors connected to the Mac Pro
i am not to interested in dvr functionality - just live tv
