Apr 28, 2012Since I upgraded to OS X 10.7.3, Safari won't stay connected to the internet, if I am away from the keyboard for more than 120 seconds. My laptop (same operating system, & WiFi network) does not suffer this same problem.

PowerPC :: G4 Will Not Boot After Using Target Disk Mode Connected Intel IMac?
Feb 3, 2006We have some new Intel iMacs and have transferred some information from our previous G4 PM (one MDD and one Quicksilver) to the new iMacs. For some reason the G4's will now not boot up and kernal panic on the gray Apple boot screen. This has happened to all the G4's we have in our office. They are running OSX 10.2.8 and the iMacs are running OSX 10.4.4. We can still mount the drives from the G4's using FireWire Target Disk mode.
I have tried zapping the PRAM etc but they still wont boot. I have also tried running the OSX 10.2 Installer disks to try and reinstall OSX on the G4's but the installer cannot see the drives?
I tried running the disk utility. It finds the hard drive but wont let me verify/repair permissions (the option is grayed out). It will only let me verify/repair the disk, but it finds no errors. The installer cannot find the disk at all.
We have more than one hard drive in the G4's and the target disk mode will only mount the system drive, it doesnt see the others, so we cannot retrieve out information. Whats going on. Never had this problem before.
Anyone have any idea what is wrong. Never had this problem before using the FireWire transfer.

Mar 25, 2012how to obtain a bigger memory for my imac so that I can upgrade to OSX LIon and then to icloud? My imac currently has 1 Gb memory and I need 2 Gb apparently. Apple can no longer supply a 2 Gb memory. I will need to knowe hwre to buy a suitable memory and how to change it.

May 9, 2012After install of OSX Lion (from Snow Leopard). I receive every 10 seconds a message: "Cannot open program ExpressAccountsAgent, because PowerPC-programs are no longer supported". I deinstalled this program with Mackeeper, without result. The message shows every 10 seconds. Is it possible to block this message?

OS X V10.7 Lion :: Mail Is Missing Gmail Label Folders And Labeled Messages
Mar 31, 2012I've got a bunch of client folders and subfolders (labels on gmail). I'm trying to switch to mac in the office and set up an imap account. In the last hour searching the archives here, the subfolders in the account have appeared, disappeared, back and forth. Right now they're gone. They have never had any of the messages in them on the mac. There is no little triangle to turn.
Here's what I have done so far:
- set the folders to show in IMAP
- verified the folders/labels and their contents are on the server, my pc, my iphone
- completely deleted and recreated the account in Mail and System Preferences 3 times
- they also don't show in the [Gmail] folder down below
- let it completely sync overnight last night (problem existed yesterday too)

Intel Mac :: Wont Be Able To Upgrade From Lion To Mountain Lion?
Jun 14, 2012I am currently running version 10.7.4 from what I read and what I was able to make out from my serial number I wont be able to upgrade from Lion to Mountain Lion as it says my imac is a late 2006 model.I am just curious if I am able to run Lion why Apple isnt supporting the older models that can? Seems odd to me and it is not in my budget to buy a new mac and my current one is running perfectly. I'm not sure how much I will miss out not having Mountain Lion.

Mar 9, 2009I upgraded to Leopard from Tiger, and am now having a problem reading certain CD-ROMs. Each month, I receive a CD from a guitar instruction site. When I was using Tiger, I had no problems reading any of these CDs, but, since the upgrade, I've become unable to open the most recent few. They aren't even recognized by the computer, and are ejected automatically, although they work perfectly on two other Macs running the same version of Leopard. Older CDs from the same company still play fine. My drive is a Matshita DVD-R UJ-857D.

OS X :: Upgrade 10.4.11 To 10.5.8 - Scanner No Longer Visible
Dec 8, 2009I upgraded my PowerMac Dual G5 2 GHz from OS 10.4.11 to 10.5.8. Now the Mac can't see my SCSI scanner (Epson Exprerssion 836XL). It doesn't show up under the system profiler.
Before upgrading, I cloned my 10.4.11 installation. When I boot from the clone, I can use the scanner with no problems. So the hardware is working and connected properly.
What is there about the Leopard system I can do to help it recognize the scanner?
The problem has survived system restarts, including restarts after complete shutdown.
