Dec 14, 2009New Mac user here. I'm a webdesigner and would like to have a real color picker that picks... REAL colors. I've got the "Hex Color picker" application [URL] which integrates with the built-in color picker in my iMac but it doesn't find real colors when I pick up color from webpages. EX: Real color: #e8effeWhen I pick it up from my page, the Hex Color Picker tells me this is the color: #e2eafe which is not.Little annoying when you're a webdesigner. It's somewhat important to get the real colors.

Sep 19, 2009I have finally retired my 13 inch macbook i've had for over 3 years. I bought one of the unibody 13" macbook pros and did a clean snow leopard installation, then upgraded to 10.6.1. Since then my mac experience has gone from bright sunny days to death and doom.
My airport is the major issue, it keeps dropping signal and doesn't pick up my netgear router. it works for 5-10 minutes then just looses it by itself. i try and see if there is an update or something for it but it crashes the airport and i have to switch the airport off and then on again. This is along with all my favorite snow leopard/13" mbp issues which include but not limited to the laptop freezes, hangups, and just failing to come out of sleep mode!!! most of these issues requires me to force restart the machine. I'm now back to my old laptop seeing that I'm struggling to connect wirelessly.

- Unplugging a cord or device from MBP doesn't flicker the screen when in sleep
- Screen "fades" in after sleep instead of instantly popping in
- If I have the screen at lowest brightness, and wake from sleep, before it would flicker full brightness then go to low again, now it stays low
- Backlighting had so much bleed on old MacBook that it was painful to use, it "bled" everywhere. Now it's only the letter of the key and a small rim around the key

Mar 17, 2012I am starting a new thread. I was having connectivity to the internet issues earlier. I have an IPAD an IMAC and a PC. I had to unplug my router to move it. Now it seems that I can only get internet access on one device. Earlier in the day my PC internet worked and the IPAD and IMAC did not. After shutting down my PC the IMAC began to work. Is there a setting somewhere for multiple devices?

My issue is that it is taxing my CPU % it runs anywhere between 90% to 200% even higher some times and is using up 2.93 GB of my Vertual Memory.I can turn it off but it's not a very long term solution to have to remember that all the time.Â

Aug 20, 2014I own 2 iMacs. One uses a Magic Mouse, the other Magic Trackpad. I'd like to swap usage, but neither device will "discover" the new device to swap, and obviously I don't want to disconnect the existing one first because I'd lose control. The Bluetooth Preference panel just shows spinning wheel next to Device in the title, but never discovers the added device..

Sep 1, 2010I got my Kindle 3 today (yes I bought one over the ipad simply due to the price) and Ive spent some time trying to connect it to my imacs airport wi-fi. I have tried Customer service over at Amazon but sadly, no reply as of yet. It seems that the Kindle wont connect to "enterprise or peer-to-peer networks". So everytime, I enable sharing and my network shows up - it either wont accept the password or it tells me that "Kindle does not currently connect to enterprise or peer-to-peer networks"
