Jun 3, 2012After my hard drive got corrupted and I fixed it, my mail program stopped sending emails. It recieves them, but won't send them. I can't figure out why.

Sep 5, 2010I can no longer send messages in Mail, although I can still receive them. When I hit send, I get "address was rejected by the server" although the settings appear to be correct. I can send messages with web-based mail, just not with client-based (POP/SMTP). ISP is AT&T Yahoo. Outgoing server port is 995

Jun 4, 2009All of a sudden I cannot send mail from my main Mac. My other 2 work fine so I know it's program issue. I called my internet provider and they told me i had to contact Apple so I thought I'd start here. She did suggest that I delete my mail account and set it back up. I'm willing to try this, but I can't loose all my mail. So, I have a back up on time machine if I need it, but I'm not sure how to re enter it into mail.

Aug 22, 2014I have the newest imac and had to have a new hard drive put in, and now when I try to send an email with gmail it won't go. I also downloaded OS X Yosemite also yesterday, so I don' know if my gmail isn't working because of the new hard , or the new OS X I downloaded.
I can send emails from my Ipad with no problem, but not from my Imac, and I,m only 5ft from the Imac.

Apr 4, 2012I had approximately 15 draft emails. They were stored on computer, i.e. the setting "Store draft messages on server" was NOT checked. I re-used those messages often in my business. I am on Mail version 5.2 (1257) and Lion 10/7
Suddenly the whole folder disappeared.
None of the draft messages are in my email account on the server - and they are all gone (deleted?) from on the computer. In other words, I currently see none of my long and quite important Drafts anywhere.Is there any other way to find these drafts and bring them back?

May 29, 2012I have a folder under my Gmail account marked "All Mail" which currently has over 10,000 messages that I would like to delete. I am using the Apple email program. I am able to delete them only to have them return when I reboot my computer. I am concerned that these ever growing messsages will slow down my computer. I have worked with my internet provider, Apple tech, and gmail and no one seems to have an answer. They do not show up with I access my gmail account through the web.Â

Jun 21, 2012So the other day I tried to send a large file through the Mail app to a friend. I realized after clikcing send that the file was indeed too large to send since my Mail froze in the attempt of sending it. I used force quit to get out of Mail and opened it again, and then clicked the x button when it started to send again. But then the message was still in my outbox and in my drafts, and Mail would try to update my inbox and drafts but just continue loading. I went to my outbox to delete the message, and when I did a notification popped up that said "The message could not be moved to the mailbox "Trash—On My Mac". The operation couldn't be completed. File exists". Now whenever I open Mail it's the same story, where it attempts to send the message, and then everything's trying to load but never does.(I went to iCloud recently to send a message, and the only remnant of this action was a draft of the message without the file, which I deleted.)
