I used my Acer netbook basically as a hard drive while on vacation to download video and photos to free up my cameras. How would you recommend transferring these to my iMac now?

I downloaded photos from my camera to iphoto which included some videos. The video files appear in iphoto but i want to transfer them to imovie. However when I tried to do this - a message in the imovie program says there are no video files to see. When I tried to transfer them through the share option, which opened my photo albums but only the photos appear not the videos. Can someone please tell me how to transfer the video files from iphoto into imovie.

When I record a video and then click to watch it, the recording screen will go black and the little color wheel will show up and long story short, I havent been able to watch any videos for a few days (for the first couple hours after the stuff on my old imac -> new imac, I could watch videos perfectly fine. Maybe its because I am currently updating iPhoto and its taking a veryyyy long time.) But...with my old iMac, I had about 10 slides of extra photobooth effects. It slowed down photobooth TREMENDOUSLY but I didnt know how to uninstall them.Unfortunately, those same effects have moved over to my new mac and its driving me nuts. I thought that was the culprit and tried uninstalling them. I cant do Library>Compositions>erase because when I do so, theres nothing there to delete!

I have Quicken 2007 for Mac on my G4 and would like to move it to my new iMac currently running Lion. I downloaded the recently-released update that will allow Quicken to run on Lion, then downloaded the file to an external USB drive. I then uploaded it to my iMac, and Quicken opens, but does not have any of my account information. I then deleted the files from my iMac and downloaded another copy of Quicken 2007 from the Quicken website. I then downloaded the update to my iMac, but it would not open. So, it appears that I have to transfer it form my G4, but need to do it in a way that will also transfer my data.
I ordered a firewire cable and am planning to try to move it directly. In the meantime, does anybody have any tips? Just so you know, I really want to use Quicken.
