I'm trying to print a .psd image from Photoshop CS5 using my Epson Photo Stylus 2400 printer. Yesterday, I downloaded a suggested upgrade and it hasn't worked since then. I used Time Machine and replaced the Epson utility with the old one. I then get a message:Â
Waiting for printer to become available...  and nothing happens. I need to be able to print!
I'm using Snow Leopard 10.6.8
Info:
iMac intel processor, Mac OS X (10.6.8), see above
I am on OS 10.3.9. My Epson Stylus CX4600 will not print a Word document from this computer. It will prints a document from my older laptop, which has OS 9. And it will make copies when it is plugged into the OS 10.3.9. It will even print a test pattern when the utilities function is open. But it will not print an image or a Word doc or an Appleworks doc that is stored on the OS 10.3.9.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI purchased an Epson Stylus NX530 printer with wireless capability. I have a MacBook Pro running OSX v10.7. My printer is installed and works as expected when connected via USB cord but printer shows up offline when USB is disconnected. I connected my printer to my wireless network through my router (entering name of connection and passcode) and enabled the sharing capabiliy in System Preferences. So my setup is that I connected my MacBook to my router and my printer to the router. Is there anything else I am missing? Would connecting both the computer and printer to the wireless router be all I shoud need to do to be able to print wirelessly? Is my wirelss router considered my "network?" If my printer has a wireless internet connection, should I be able to "view" it anywhere on my MacBook other than printer settings when it is not connected via USB (I had to initially connect my computer via USB to the printer during setup).Â

I have the above printer connected to my iMac and it has been working flawlessly for months. I have one issue though. When the printer is running low on ink, the maintenance light blinks, indicating low levels. But, it doesnt tell what ink cartridge is low, and since i dot want to go all out and change them all, i need to know how to view levels. On my Mac, it only says information not available for supply levels, and as far as I know, there is no way to check on the printer itself. Does anybody know how to view the ink levels, either on the printer or my iMac?

I have and old and useful printer -Epson Stylus Color 440- and just bougth a cable for connecting it to USB port. Add a new print on its Print and Scan Preference Panel and it was recognized inmediatly, but I was told there was not any driver to that printer. Â
Tried to set "Epson Stylus Color Series" on its driver but when I went to print, printer seemed to work but does not eject any ink. It seemed as if I were ran out of ink; its car moved over the places occupied by the photo and sounded as normal printing, but not a drop of ink. I checked on an older windows pc, and ink is full, printed normally. I also looked for its drivers on Epson pages, but it seems there are only available for previos Mac OSs, not for X.Â
A son told me that in his Snow Leopard MacBook White there's a dirver called "Epson Stylus Color 440 gutenprint" on his Print and Scan Driver Menu; haven't tried to print from his MacBook yet, and as I searched, those are open drivers.Â
I wonder if I can download and install that "Epson Stylus Color 440 gutenprint" from the web, of if there's a way to copy it from my son's Macbook, when he comes and check.

Printing from any program, Two-Sided Printing on the print prompt screen is grayed out. There's no reason for this, as my desktop Windows does double-sided all the time. I've found a lot of discussions in the Leopard forum about this problem, but none of them used my system or my printer and I couldn't find similar solutions. I'm running 10.6.8., trying to print from Chrome specifically, wirelessly connected to my printer.Â

I bought my mac back in Feb. and I received a free printer along with it. The Epson all in one Stylus piece of ****. Well I shook the individual ink catridges well and installed them all. Since then I haven't been able to get a clear sheet of paper. All the colours look faded but the actual picture is not distorted. It's just the contrast of the colour thats gone. now is there a way I can alter the amount of ink my printer is using? I have tried aimlessly, looking for an option but I cannot find any.
View 5 Replies View RelatedAfter the last software update my printer wasn't recognizing ink cartridge. So I uninstalled its software. Now I can't find its drivers anywhere. Epson's website says check your Mac software updates and doesn't offer to download the driver directly. But there are no available updates for my computer as of now. How do I find and install the driver?

I have documents that were created using colors for the text that I find difficult to read. They also print in those colors.Â
I have followedEpson's instructions to set the NX400 to print black ink only. The printer still prints in color. Possibly, Epson's drivers don't work, Or possiby, something in Lion OS is overriding the drivers.Â
Is there some setting in Lion OS that overrides the printer drivers? Is it not possible to print black ink only?Â
