View 3 RepliesIn a few months I will be setting up a booth at a comic convention and I would like to have two monitors running on the table to showcase the art. I have a 17" MBP Unibody with one external 24" monitor via the mini-DV - DVI cable. I would like to attach another 24" as well. These two monitors only have to mirror what I am doing on the screen so I just need a cheap solution.

View 4 Replies View RelatedHi! Long time listner, first time caller.... So I'm learning about external hard drives, backing up my laptop and Time Machine. I've been told a few times that people sometimes choose to "split" or "divide" their hard drive, and that this needs to be done before anything is stored to it. But I didn'tthink to ask 'why?'.

I are disagreeing over the new MAC Mini and the two video cable connections on the back. He said it will support dual monitors and I said it is just a different type of connection for one monitor.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am new here, and have searched, but just needed to get some input. I currently have a Macbook, but want to get a Mac mini for the desk. I would like to run 2 of the inexpensive 24" monitors independently. All I use is iWork, heavy Internet, light movies, and rarely games (would like to try Starcraft 2), but mostly work stuff. Nothing intense.
What would be the earliest Mac mini that could handle this?
What adapters would I need to run dual monitors on a Mac Mini Server? They'd both be 1920x1080 or 1200.

I currently have an apple 30" monitor connected to the macbook pro using that mini dvi port. My wife just bought me a 24" apple monitor which also has a mini dvi connector (male). I need either a mini-DVI splitter to create two female mini DVI inputs at the macbook pro to connect these two monitors or an adapter that has a female mini-DVI on one end and a female DVI on the other. I previously had a 2nd non apple monitor connected using UV plus.

So simply--how do I plug in the 2nd monitor.
I have called apple support and searched google with no success. I fear at this point that this is not possible to do. Does anyone know of a solution?
So is the 320m capable of pushing that high of a resolution in game with highest settings (Minus AA and AF, both of which would be near lowest, shadows would also be on medium-medium high)? I ask because, before I buy one, I want to make sure I know what I'm getting. I know the 320m isn't a gaming card by any means but I'd love to crank up the settings on WoW. I also wonder if it will still be able to push near max settings (in the case that it already does) when Cataclysm comes out.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm on a Macbook Black running 10.5 (soon to be 10.6!), and currently have an external monitor hooked up via a Mini-DVI-to-VGA adapter. I'm trying to figure out an option for getting an second external up and running. (I do pdf-intensive research, and, well, you know how that goes. I'd hook up 25 monitors if I could--but I'm just setting my sights on a third screen for the time being!) I've done my homework with the search function, but the advice has been conflicting--some threads have made it sound like it can't be done; some others have said a product like DualHead2Go works. And a lot of threads are just plain over my head.

It's for Logic as i need the real estate screen space.
View 3 Replies View RelatedPretty new to Apple products. I'm attempting to use an external monitor that is located above and behind my laptop. However, I can't find a way to set Snow Leopard to let me move the mouse from the primary laptop display upward into the auxiliary display.
Currently, I need to roll the mouse off the right edge of the laptop display to reach the left edge of the external display. Very counterintuitive.

Just got my new 2.8 with 5870. From the start it gave me some trouble getting it to turn on. I kept trying different plugs and such throughout the house and randomly I got it on. It was working good but I noticed that waking it from sleep the machine will click and the sleep light goes out and a red led behind the grill comes on briefly. I try pushing the power button to hear another click and the red led flashes. These problems seem intermittent and sometimes it will sleep fine. Im using 2 acer monitors connected via 2 vga-mini display adaptors.

P.S. I went through several Mac-related forums and there's abundance of issues with "alien" monitors.
