Aug 1, 2008I purchased an Epson CX8300 recently to work with my iMac and MacBook. It works fine with both via USB connection. However, when set to print wirelessly via an Airport Extreme Base Station, the print jobs don't ever appear in the print queues on either systems. I tried switching to the Gutenprint driver but this just spits out one blank page after another.

Nov 5, 2008Have apple g4-60gig hd-2gig ram-mac os 10.5.5-brand new epson rx680 w/duplexer for printing on both sides of paper. I set it up correctly-hardware and software. When i print-the paper comes out printed about 98% of the way and stops-message pops up saying it has a paper jam. There is no paper jam anywhere! I have ckd. 8-10 different times in trying to use duplexer. Anyone else run into this problem? I am trying to talk to epson about it but seems they are slow.

Jun 24, 2008I have an iMac G5 (Power PC) with OS X version 10.4.11. I also have an Epson Stylus Color 1160 printer and an Epson Stylus Pro 3800 printer. Last August I lost access to the Utilities in my 1160 driver meaning that I could not make nozzle checks or cleans. I was emailed a lengthy procedure from Epson that would overcome the problem. Expecting this to take some time, I delayed following the advice until yesterday. Apart from the inaccessible Utilities for the 1160, both drivers were working OK. As instructed by Epson, I removed both printer drivers and first reinstalled the 1160 driver but my Printer Setup Utility could not find it. After several fruitless e-Talk sessions with Epson I contacted Apple. They told me that I had been doing everything correctly but they discovered (through Google) that the driver for the 1160 does not work with OS 10.4.11. Knowing that I had been able to use an Epson driver before I discovered through Google that a later version was available on the American Epson site. I downloaded this and the 1160 worked fine with access to the Utilities as I needed. I then reinstalled the 3800 driver but when I attempted to use it from Photoshop it did not give me the Print Settings and Color Management options that I need. I still have these options with the 1160. I have tried everything I can think of to resolve this problem and now I have even lost the access to the 1160 Utilities again. I have run the Disk Utility First Aid many times. It shows an ever-increasing list of Permissions (all problems related to Epson) but although it 'repairs' them when I verify again they are still there. I seem to be creating more problems rather than solving them.

The imac is connected via ethernet and that still works fine but the wireless won't work on it either. The funny thing is I have a PC that still connects fine to the wireless internet. OS X :: Wireless Internet Not Working?
Jun 28, 2009So...I just got my new MacBook Pro yesterday for graduation and I've been trying to connect to the internet wirelessly.
We have a Belkin 54G Wireless Router, which was private but I reset it so I don't think the wireless network is private anymore. So...my Mac now connects fully to the "Belkin54g" wireless network but I can't seem to get on the internet. We also connect through a Motorola modem.
I don't really know the difference between the DCHP and PPOEthingy....and network diagnostics apparently can't help.
I've tried putting in the IP address/subnet mask/etc but that doesn't work either. Sometimes it says its connected, other times it tells me there's no IP address.
If I need to call anyone, who should I call? The Mac people or the Wireless router/internet people?
OS X :: Macbook Wireless Stops Working After A While?
Jan 15, 2009So to preface my problem let me just say that ive got my own macbook which works on the same wireless network with no faults at all, so i assume its not an error with the networking hardware.
For xmas i bought my parents a macbook, recently (not sure how recently as theyve only just told me its happening) they can be browsing the web then all of a sudden the internet takes ages to load, it stalls on 'trying to connect' for a long time (40+ for each web page).
Ive tried using firefox and the same thing happens so it looks like its not safari specific, during this time i cannot ping [URL] through a terminal either or if i can the response time is unbelievably slow.
Now, ive tried disabling ipv6, ive set the dns servers to opendns and none of this has fixed it. if i click on the airport utility and turn it off and the back on it fixes the problem for a short period of time before it happens again.
OS X :: MacBook Wireless Not Working Properly?
Sep 8, 2009Starting about 4 months ago my 3 year-old 2.0GHz Core Duo MacBook's wireless started to not work very well. What was happening is that after starting the computer or waking it from sleep, it was able to connect to my network, but after about 5 seconds it would lose the signal despite being physically very close to the router without anything to block the signal. The problem progressively got worse, and at its worst it was only able to connect about 1 in 10 times. Either it wouldn't find the network at all, or it would find it but couldn't connect because "The connection timed out" or something like that.
I never bothered fixing the problem because my Mac was having a bunch of other issues at the time, so I was just going to fix them all by doing a fresh install of Snow Leopard once it came out.
So 3 days ago I did a fresh install of Snow Leopard (I formatted the harddrive then did a fresh install, not an archive and install). Unfortunately, it only kinda helped the wireless problem: I can now connect half the time rather than 1 in 10 times like it used to be.
I'm quite sure my network isn't the problem because everyone that has used my network in the recent past (which has been about 10 different PCs, Macs, and iPhones) hasn't had any problems. FYI, I have a Linksys WRT54G wireless router.
Hardware :: My Wireless Connection Is Not Working?
Mar 20, 2010I have been using my Macbook wirelessly for over a year now and never had a proble before until this morning when I was surfing the internet and for some reason it asked me for my WEP key which was not a problem because after entering it my wireless connection started working again, but after a while it stopped working again but this time it didnt ask me for the WEP key in fact the wireless icon has the check mark as it would be working but its gray out.
I know it is not the router because my other laptop is working fine.
Any idea what could be wrong?
the internet works fine if I connect it to a wired connection.
Mac Mini :: Wireless Not Working On Windows 7?
Jun 28, 2010I have the Mid 2010 Mac Mini (yes, it came today) and I just installed Windows 7 RTM on it via boot Camp. I then out in the OS Install disc that came with the Mini and installed all the drivers, then restarted. Everything seems to work except for WiFi. It sees all the networks in the area, but whenever I try to connect to one it says "getting information from (network name)" and then it says "Windows was unable to connect to the network. This is before it even asks for a key. I've tried different encryption types and even tried connecting to an open network and all of them have the same problem. i am able to connect to any network fine on Snow Leopard.

Oct 3, 2010I have a 2 month old Apple Wireless Keyboard and for some reason the numbers from 1 through to 9 have stopped working (although zero still works).
I've tried everything I can find online, but no luck: verified and repaired permissions, checked Universal Access for mouse keys etc, but can't get them working. There's no real reason for those keys not to be working but everything else to be fine. Nothing has ever been spilled onto it and it has never been mistreated in any way. It's almost as if I've somehow hit a numlock key that has stopped them working, but as far as I know it doesn't have one.

Jul 7, 2008I can't get my Airport Extreme to work w/ any of my PCs (via wireless). I have an Extreme N w/ gigabit and using WPA/WPA2 security. Latest firmware. My MBP works perfectly fine, so does my iPod Touch and even my printer which connects via WiFi also (hp Photosmart D7460).
However none of my PCs can connect, I already tried w/ 2 different Dell laptops a Toshiba laptop and a desktop. All are running XP and have all the updates etc. All connect and work fine to my Linksys WRT54G.

Apr 26, 2009Here's the set up: one room in my house has a PC, and cable modem, my other room has the iMac. I used an ethernet cable to plug into the router and it claims to have internet on it's tiny squinty eye of lies. Now my iMac can reach the 192.168.1.1. site wirelessly, I changed the basic things everyone suggests.
Here's the problem: airport says its connected to the 192.168.1.1. area connection, and yet I cannot get online. Assistant says that i can't get online. I'd like to know why, so I can die happy.

Jul 11, 2009I just installed OS X 10.5.7 yesterday and Airport wireless will not start on boot up or when I try to manually add the setup or run diagnostics from the network configuration. I tried to remove airport and reinstall the connection manually and it still fails. I checked the console log and marked it and when I tried to start airport again I received no error messages at all. The computer does register the mac address for the wireless card, but when I attempt to connect to something it just scans in diagnostics, but the network is not detected. I can connect to the wireless router with two other computers and I can see other networks in the area, but airport does not see any other networks.
I did check in system profile and the wireless card is detected along with the mac address and it says that airport is turned off.

Feb 16, 2010A few hours ago the wireless internet on my laptop stopped working. I have turned it off and on again, i have turned our wireless internet off and on again. I have also tested the internet on the other computers in the house (macs and pcs) and it works on all of them. I thought it might somehow be the distance so i've tried using it next to the internet box, still to no avail.
I took the laptop downstairs, came back up and when i sat back down, the internet stopped working on it. I didn't bash it about and i'm always very careful when carrying it around the place. Everything else still works on it.
It is displaying the wifi in the top right with the bars dimmed out and an exlamation mark in front. When i click it, under 'AirPort: On' it says 'Alert: No Internet Connection' and next to it is a triangle with an exclamation mark inside.
OS X V10.7 Lion :: Wireless Redirect Pages Not Working After 10.7.3?
Feb 17, 2012Updated to 10.7.3 recently. When I connect to wireless networks that have a redirect page, the connection itself is successful but a blank osx window pops up with a spinning status indicator that keeps spinning until it fails. The login page never appears. Manually going to any website does not work either.
