The "green" or "red" line on the clips has stopped working. Â
I use the "F" or "del" shortcut - and it comes up in the description, but I can't see the colour line in the browser.Â

I have a first generation macbook pro, recently i have been getting neon green and purple blotches appearing on my screen. I was also having a hard drive problem so i swapped that out and installed a fresh copy of OSX 10.4 on there and was still having the green and purple show up so I know that it is hardware related. I also have hooked up an external monitor and they show up on that monitor too so I konw the problem is not related to my monitor.. I downloaded fan control and have found that if I keep my macbook under 53 degrees C then They wont show up nearly as often but they still do. The only problem with this is that to keep it under 53 degrees C then I need to have the fans running extremely fast the entire time which is not really solving the problem...any suggestions?
It kinda looks to me like I need to get the logic board replaced, what does that entail.. can I do it myself? im pretty good with computers and electronics. I don't have apple care and the warrenty has definelty been voided or is expired..what kind of $$ am I looking at?
My Macbook pro's display has started playing up. Having green flickering lines which come and go randomly, especially on images with a lot of black. Right now, the lines just disappeared as soon as I connected to mains, to start recharging the laptop. I'm using OS X 10.7.4 with NVIDIA GeForce 9400M.

I can upload and view new photos just fine into iPhoto. However, when I use any application that requires opening/inserting/uploading a file (I've tried Firefox, Safari, Flickr Uploadr, Pages etc.) the new events do not appear when clicking on Media > Photos.
This started about two weeks ago but unfortunately I haven't backed up my computer and can't go back in Time Machine.
i recently bought a 13"retina display macbook pro. It is so disappointing. There is a horizontal line that appears on the screen and disappears. This was for the third time i had to face the same issue. When i explain to the staff at the apple store they say that they have not come across such issue, for which i showed a proof from the other part of the world.

I did a bot of research & people say it could be the GPU, but I know that this particular MBP has had the logic board replaced only last year. I'm not entirely sure what it is, but the line has now gone.

I have a macbook pro (late 2007-2.4ghz). Nearly a year ago I had my logic board changed as there were no display on the monitor though my computer was working. They said it is a production mistake and my logic board would be changed even if it was not on warranty.But now when my computer overheats a green vertical line at the left side of my monitor displays. when it cools this line disappears.know 17 inch unibody macbook pros had same issue with 9600 gts graphic cards. My graphic card is 8800m gt. Is there a solution for that or I had to change my logic board again?

My project has some green frames in it. My media has been transcoded to pro res 422 (HQ) from another codec (I don't know which one, I don't have original footage) using PAVTUBE HD converter. What's the best way to deal with this situation ? It's a 2 hour long conference and I don't feel like looking at the whole thing without blinking my eyes to find and cut all the little green frames.

I use my charger for my sisters laptop and it works therefore indicating that the charger isn't the problem but when I charge my laptop it shows a faint green light but not charging! I have a Library containing 22 Events which are numbered instead of named. Each event contains Green Screen clips whose thumbnails all look the same. I found the set of (Piece to Camera) clips I want, using a keyword search of the Library - but now I want to create a Compound Clip in the relevant Event so that I can do a rough edit (discard unsuitable and duplicated narrative etc).Â
Next, I want to copy the remaining good clips from this Compound to a new Project - in a different Library. I don't want to copy the unwanted clips.My problem is, finding the Event these clips originated from. I can use the disclosure triangle on each Event in turn, but surely there's a better way to find the parent Event of a clip in the browser?

I'm trying to figure out if there is any way I can do 'organizing' in the Browser. It would be great to be able to create folders I could drop the 'projects' or the 'files' into. I do have my 'Library' well organized, with Keyword collections and folders.Â
But.... I'm working on a large project. Every time I add a new video or audio file to a Library (each Library has only one Event - so I can keep my Libraries relatively small) it seems I have to go digging through all the previous files to find the newly imported one.Â

Every time I relaunch FCP there is a series of 12 clips in my project--same 12 clips--that show up in the browser with the dreaded red window telling me "camera missing." For some reason Relink Files isn't working but was does work is just opening the Import window and navigate to where the parent files are and, magically, the thumbnails for those clips start to appear in the browser again. I don't even have to tell it to do anything. They just relink.Â

I'm having some difficulty adding a dissolve transition to a title that is connected to a clip in the primary storyline. I've tried leaving it as a connected clip, I've tried putting it in a secondary storyline, I've tried using both the dissolve transition and ramping the opacity, but no matter what I do or how long I make the dissolve, it only seems to last about 5 frames.I'm coming to FCPX as a veteran of FCP studio, and this was something I did quite regularly and quite easily. I'm using the most recent version of FCPX.Â

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I sync one audio file with one video file the video file is always placed in the primary storyline and the audio file is always placed under it. And the new syncronised clip is named afte the video file.Â
when I sync multiple audio files to one video file. It seems to be random what file endsup in the primary storyline of the new compound clip, most of the time is seems to be one of the audio files. This is troublesom as the syncing acuracy is then limited to the frame as the smallest incrament of adgustment. Also, it menas I have to manualy change the names of my now syncronised clips as the names are not consistant making sorting dificult. (This all results in a lot of time spent fixing this behavoir and realy dampens the advantages of the sync feature.)Â
the video should not be the primary track in a new syncrosnised compound clip and I can't find any link between my behavoir and the resulting choise of which tile is the primary sortyline track.
