My Mac glitched out last night so I had to reinstall everything, but for some reason when I go to reinstall ProApps Codecs v1.0.5, it brings me to [URL]
Is there somewhere else I can download the Codecs?
When I try to open either of these 3 apps the system tells me they can't open because they are currently being updated. Software Update shows my system as needing no update. The last update that it shows was for ProApps Codecs v1.0.5. I am running a macbook pro / OS 10.9.3.
The manual download for that update, (ProApps Codecs v1.0.5), is a dead link, (URL....). I have one of the new black mac desktops with the exact same setup as my laptop. It's software updates list shows an update for the 3 apps I am having trouble opening on my laptop as having successfully installed. All 3 apps are working fine on the desktop system. How to either:
- trash my preferences on the laptop to force system update to reinstall the ProApps Codecs v1.0.5 update?
- fix the broken link at support.apple.com so I can manually install the ProApps Codecs v1.0.5 update?
- or perform some kind of Voodoo that will get my FCP, Motion, and Compressor opening again?

I've been using FCPX for a few years and recently noticed that updates were not showing as being available. So I deleted the app and tried to download it. Multiple times I tried but the download would show up as an error after various amounts of downloading. Now, I can't even begin the download without an error coming up. I have tried deleting the app multiple times but all I get is an error whenever I try and download it.

I am trying to download MAC OSX 10.5 that I just purchased and my hard drive on the computer won't show up as a destination drive to download the software on. I erased the disk figuring that would help but it did not.

When I attempt to download a .wmv file, it appears to download (as evidenced in download manager) but then stalls forever and never finishes the job. I can download other media files without problem. I have updated WMP. Im on G4 PB 10.4.3.

Ive recently downloaded a trail for the download accelerator DAP (Download Accelerator Plus) to speed up the download of a world of warcraft patch. Unfortunately, I had to delete this program when I realized that this was causing my computer to overheat due to pushing my computer's abilities through the roof. My computer has not been damaged in anyway, and i have "deleted" the program but when i still continue to try to download something it says that "DAP Plugin cannot find Download accelerator plus"; even thuogh i just deleted everything. so then i try to delete the plugin, but my mac says that "this item cannot be deleted when it is in use" but it really is not.
Can any of you help me to try to delete this plugin so i can start downloading again. After several attempts and techniques I STILL am not able to download anythinh

Says the software may have been tampered with or corrupted during download. I am NOT some computer hack, just a regular guy who bought a simple product to download and it doesn't work. Total BS and waste of my time. I'm not interested in saving my download to an ext HD, or partitioning my HD, or some other funky work-around. For some reason recently when I go to download anything I see the 'swirly indicator' at the top of the page briefly, then it stops and there is no new download in the Download Folder and Finder does not show any new file. Not the usual popping up of a window where I can see the size of the file and the download progress and the get the file from Downloads as was the case previously.

But web developers have become wily it seems. No longer do the old methods appear to work. I've tried: Apps for downloading youtube videos, using the Activity window in Safari (only a small SWF file of about 21kb appears in the activity window), numerous Firefox plugins� To no avail.
There are apparently apps for Windows that can manage to download these tricky types of videos, is there anything or any method on the Mac? I've been ripping my hair out trying. I've searched the forum, but none of the suggested methods work.
I've got a real odd problem with safari 4. For some reason it is cutting my download speeds in about 1/2 from my server and many other places.
If I restart safari I will be able to download close to my 18 Mbps for a little bit but then it will just start to slow down and after about 30 minutes it will be down to about 6 - 8 Mbps.

I managed to download and install SleepisDeath but I can't open the game because I haven't got Rosetta. Every time I try it comes up with this message:
"To open SleepIsDeath, you need to install Rosetta.
To install Rosetta, connect to the Internet and open SleepIsDeath. If you cannot connect to the Internet, insert your Mac OS X installation disc, open the Optional Installs folder, and double-click Optional Installs."
Trouble is, I am connected to the Internet and every other program seems perfectly capable of recognising this, and because I bought my Macbook complete with SnowLeopard already installed, no installation disc was included.
I'm trying to learn how to create better quality videos.
