Just updated to 10.1.2 and now the letterbox effect is not visible if i view in full screen but is working in normal interface viewer.
Instead if I keep a png cinema-scope 2:35:1 on top of all the layers... in normal viewer its fine. but if i view in full screen (viewer) the cinemascope does not work on the top and only on the bottom it is visible in unusual size...
I just purchased a 24" dell monitor to use with my macbook Pro. My Mac does not give me the option of selecting the screen resolution that the Dell monitor says it has (1920x1080). It only allows for 1600x900 at max. This has the effect of the screen not stretching to the full size of the screen.

Ive had s few problems with my final cut. Im working off my laptop with a monitor. My immediate issue is that I have been editing fine this morning and then all of a sudden I could hear the audio for my clips but I can't see the footage in the viewer or the canvas. I can double clip on each clip individually and see what the footage is however. I've shut my computer down a few times and its not fixing itself. Also a lot lately when I sit down to do some editing the footage flickers on one clip and wont proceed to the next clips footage but I can still hear the sound.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to use the "chroma keyer" effect, it doesn't work. Nothing changes in the canvas when I use it. The effect shows up on the "video" tab of the viewer window if I click "view match frame" on the bottom of the canvas window. However, the effect doesn't hold for anything else. From what I've seen on tutorials and such, the effect is supposed to be in real-time with the canvas, and affect the sequence itself on the timeline. Is this simply something that I may have accidentally clicked that isn't allowing this to happen!

Since upgrading, all previous projects using this plugin now show the missing plugin error. However, I can create new projects and use the plugin on new clips just fine. If I switch off the plugin on existing clips the missing error still shows and the clip wont render.Â
I ve tried contacting Red Giant the plugin's maufacturer but very difficult to get a response.Â

I have a project where I have applied a vignette to multiple clips(70+) in the timeline. When I added the effect I first applied it to a single clip, adjusted some of the parameters until I was happy and then copied and pasted the effect onto all the clips.Â
I was happy until I came back to the project and didn't like the amount of vignette I used. how to adjust the vignette on all clips at once? If I adjust the vignette on one of the clips, copy and then paste attributes it pastes the whole effect onto the rest of the clips and 'doubles' the effect as it where. I just want to paste the adjustment I have made.Â

I was wondering if anyone has heard of this problem and has a solution. So I opened Bridge CS4 (Snow Leopard is my OS) and selected a photo. Clicking on View - Full screen Preview on the menu bar doesn't show the picture full screen, and pushing space bar to view a full screen preview doesn't work either. What happens is that when I push space bar to get a full screen preview, the entire menu bar at the top of the screen and the dock disappears. So I'll click the desktop, and they reappear, but once I click Adobe Bridge, they disappear again. So I have to alt-q to quit adobe bridge to see the main application menu bar.

After recording the .mov files I imported them into FCP and edited together a sequence along with music and titling. Unfortunately in the output video the footage looks compressed and fuzzy. I have the project resolution set to an HD setting, but I'm still getting a fuzzy looking screen shot. What is the proper way to import screen captures into FCP and how do I export them without loosing resolution.

After I turned it off (by unchecking Keyboard & Character Viewer) I still see the Keyboard Viewer pop up when I go to install anything. I don't see the Input Menu in my Menu Bar anymore.
Anyone know how to disable it for good?
Where do you sit on the whole Genie Effect vs Scale Effect war that's been raging for the last 8 years? Whilst the Genie wowed me the first time I saw it, I chose Scale Effect pretty much as soon as I got OSX, preferring performance over prettiness. View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I have my brightness at a certain setting and then start playing a game, the brightness jumps to full. When I then press the button for less brightness, it jumps immediately to the setting it was originally.
This also happens whenever I do alt+tab to return to the desktop. So it appears it happens when I do something that requires to switch to full screen mode cause it also happens with other programs.
At normal use, surfing, office,... this problem does not occur. And also it doesn't happen under OS X
I have a severely dented 15' G4 that has suddenly developed an all-over screen flicker together with an bleached effect that sometimes makes it impossible to read. The screen itself has for a year or two now been held together with brackets of folded sheet-brass (they clamp like giant binder clips), because both side supports have broken near the hinge. (I've attached a photo of the brackets and the bleached screen, as well as a photo of one of the damaged side supports.) This new surprise is probably due to the laptop's having recently been transported in the same bag as a leaky water bottle. I turned the computer off and let it dry out overnight as soon as the screen started flickering, but I appear to be left with a permanent bleached screen (can't see yellows at all, black appears as light gray) and occasionally (thankfully temporarily) a super-bleached effect where only very thick black writing is legible. I am certain that this is my fault (either from dropping it too many times or from water damage or a combination of the two) but I'm wondering what exactly my options are for possible solutions. Replacing the LCD would be expensive, but a new computer even more so.

Â I had been working on this project for several months and it had been saving without a problem until today, where now it appears to be completely gone.Â
I looked in my finder and the project still exists under the "Backups" folder, but for some reason it is just not showing up in Final Cut Pro. I've recently updated final cut to the latest version so I wasn't sure if that had something to do with it.
So I have a DYNEX 21 inch HD TV conected up to my MBP via the VGA connection route. My problem is that when I want a program (or more specifically in this case a game) to go into fullscreen mode it automatically goes to my primary monitor and turns the other screen black. I know I can switch the primary monitor from my actual laptop screen to the TV however I just want the game to be full screen on the TV while still having access to my dock and everything on my laptop.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded to a Macbook Pro 15" with a mini displayport, and I decided I would share my LCD monitor with my windows box. The desktop box is connected with DVI and I have connected my Macbook through an HDMI adaptor from Moshi. Everything works very well, and I'm pleased with the quality of the output, but I'm having trouble with a screen flicker in full screen games.
When I select full 1080p (1900x1080) in any full screen game, the screen "shudders." It does not occur on the OS X desktop, and I can only explain it as a shudder. Lines and text shift perceptively left and right, and the game is unplayable. I have experienced this problem in Starcraft 2, World of Warcraft, and Half Life: Episode 2 so far.
Could the problem be with my monitor and the way it handles an HDMI signal? The Macbook is flawless otherwise, with no other issues of any kind. The "shudder" only occurs during full screen games set to 1900x1080. Lower resolutions are not effected and work fine...
I'm stumped.
Edit: I should add that I have no other 1080p capable devices to test the output with.
As the headline says the right half of the screen turns black when watching video content in iTunes on full screen. I can see the whole picture when moving the mouse a little but as soon as the navigation bar disappears the right half of the picture disappears too. It does not matter what source it is. Both podcasts and movies work (or do not work) the same.Â
The problem doesn't occur for other player (VLC, XBMC etc.).Â
I have the latest OS (10.9.4) and iTunes (11.4). The computer is MBP 13-inch retina, late 2012 if it matters.Â

I recently had to erase and install Leopard. I then restored everything from my time-machine backup. The weird thing is, before, when watching streaming videos from the internet, the screen stayed at the same brightness, regardless of whether there was any mouse movement, or touching the keyboard, or anything. Now, if I don't do anything, the computer dims the screen, as if i wasn't watching a video.

View 3 Replies View RelatedInstalled without problems on a 3 y.o. 15MBP and a new iMac. See no performance issues so far, but I HATE the fact that the FULL SCREEN photo viewing is no longer there! I just hate it, that there is absolutely no way to view pictures full screen. period. (this was THE MOST important feature of iPhoto.) As such, zooming in full screen is NOT available anymore either, instead of floating windows with adjustments, etc., zoom, effects, you get stupid permanent bars that you can't even move anywhere. Also, gone is ability to quick launch a full screen slideshow. You are now asked to select photos for a slideshow first, and then create that slideshow. In Classic you will get an ability to view these full screen, thats the only way. The stupid music that accompanies classic is ... well, stupid. I just wish the Apple store in Bethesda MD had it installed so I could see how horrible it is, before giving them $79 for a Family Pack! My money now goes to Adobe for LR3, a much, much better suite! Forgot to mention, this version is NOT 64 bit, and it does not recognize dual-screen mode either, something that Adobe implemented years ago. Shame on APple for dummifying a simple photo viewer to the iPhone level.
