Safari was working just fine one minute and the next it was only showing the top 1/2" of the window and nothing else (I can see the full background of my computer instead).
Starting about a month ago Safari doesn't open website pdfs. It goes to a new tab/window and returns a black screen. My system is up to date with the latest updates for Apple products as well as for Adobe products. Is anyone else having this issue or know a solution. If I use Firefox it opens the pdf so I have to assume it is something with Safari.
I am having issues with Facebook on Safari. Over the past few months Facebook does not act correctly when I load it into Safari. The main issues are Safari no longer stores my FB password. I have cleared it from my keychain, but it will not give me a prompt to save it again. Second, when I am logged into my account, the search box's submit button on the top left will not work (it will not recognize it as a button) and this happens throughout various FB pages with other buttons.
Lastly, it will log me out and I will relog in and it will not let me log in, it just keeps kicking back to the log in page. I can open and operate FB in both Firefox and Camino without a problem. I don't know what is causing this. It just happens with FB and no other sites. I do have AdBlock, but this started to happen before I installed that.
A couple of days ago I had no trouble printing a PDF which was open in a Safari window. Now when I have a PDF open in Safari and I try to print a page of it, the print window that appears shows a blank page, and if I click Print, the paper comes out blank. I tried opening the same PDF in Firefox and the window itself is blank. It works in Chrome.
Recently videos are no longer playing properly on Safari, though they are on other browsers.
YouTube videos flicker and often display no video while the audio plays. Today where video should appear on The Onion site there was only the progress bar, with no audio either.
I was going to delete and reinstall Safari, but Momma Apple don't like that. What to do? A Flash problem at only affects Safari?
Safari no longer exports and saves .pdf files. And Safari has slowed down significantly. I have reset and reinstalled it without being able to resolve these problems. Chrome works flawlessly and it is now my default browser.
Safari is no longer responding because of a script on the webpage.....Do you want to continue running this script or stop?" This comes up on every single webpage I try to load. If I click STOP, it just keeps popping up, and I can't do anything else.
I have used Google for years and Safari. I use Google search as my home page. (the same issue occurs if I go to google)
When I enter a search item in the search bar; the search bar shifts to the upper left corner of the screen. Then, my items appears. However, no search occurs. When I hit search, nothing happens.
I switch to Firefox and my Google is working fine. I downloaded the most recent Safari. No change.

I have not made any changes except update os 10.7 and adobe reader. Other computers using snowlepoard down load just fine!
i watch tv through a website called tvunetworks which requires the installation of a video plugin, i have been using it for a while and have had no problems until today.Im not particularly tech savvy but had the bright idea of upgrading to snow leopard without doing any research and instantly, my plugins do not work any more.
I have tried reinstalling the plugin, but no matter what i do the player still shows up as a question mark and safari prompts me to install the plugin. I have also tried reverting safari to 32 bit but the browser just crashes when i load videos.
I used to be able to view TIFF files from the US patent office using Safari and Quicktime.. but it no longer works.. the QT logo comes up then disappears and the page is blank. OSX 10.7.3.. Safari 5.1.3.. QT 10.1.
While typing this, a slow script warning has popped up 4 times. After making the changes, I get no results. I have gone to Safari > Preferences > Javascript on/off/on again & Deleted cookies all to get further warnings. Popped up 3 more times. The message: Safari is no longer responding because of a script on the webpage "MacBook: Notebooks: Apple Support Communities" [URL]. Do you want to stop running the script, or let it continue?
Suddenly a couple of movies on my website no longer play in Safari. When I try to play them I get an error message that says "Plug-In Failure". Both movies play fine in Firefox and Chrome. The movies in question are at [URL] (12 seconds long), and [URL] (20 minutes long). I am running OS X Lion 10.7.3. Safari version 5.1.3. I'd like to know if others can play these movies, in the same OS and the same version of Safari. And if so, what are your settings.
My MBP late 2013 version takes longer to boot Yosemite and safari keeps crashing frequently. The system also takes longer time to switch applications. Ive never had this problem with my system while running on Mavericks.
Info: MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Yosemite (10.10.1)
Safari 3 & 4 is having probs with youtube vids showing the "We're sorry, this video no longer available" message when it plays just fine on Firefox. Anyone got an answer? 2008 iMac 3.06 24"
However, one issue annoys me to no end: In Tiger, if I wanted to go to a web address that ends in ".com" all I had to do was type the domain name. No typing "www" at the beginning or ".com" at the end. This was enabled by default. After performing a clean (erase and install) install of Leopard, it appears that feature is gone. I cannot find it in Preferences.
I just noticed that all of my 16:9 resolutions have just disappeared from my available resolutions list in system preferences. They were there before. This is true for the resolutions of my 24" external monitor as well. What can I do? I need to have the 720p and 1080p resolutions available. But they're just gone. Every other resolution is there.
My super disk can no longer burn to DVD on my G5. I have no problem burning to a CD but I can no longer read or write to DVD. I think it should be a simple setting as the super disk can read and write to CD.
