I got my son a new to us macbook and want to transfer his music and account from the old mac to the new one.Both are Powerbook G4's
Its only about 12 gigs of music BUT his iPod is only 8 gigs. Is there a way to do this easily?
I have searched and found long drawn out ways to do it but for such a small library I know there must be an easier way.
I just started a new account for my wife on our iMac. Before that all our music, photos, contacts, etc were on my account. My question is, how can I transfer the music over to her account and also how can I get her contacts on her phone over to itunes?

Well, I gave every music folder and itunes write access privileges, but I still get the same message when I try to transfer the music.

Now my problem/question: I no longer wish to use my old @rogers account and only want to use my @me. iTunes will not recognize my previous purchases made from the @rogers when logged in using my new @me. Fair enough... so now I would like to transfer all my purchases from the old account to my new MobileMe.
Can this be done?? I certainly am unable to do this from my side.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI bought an imac 24" 4 months ago and set up individual access accounts on the mac for me and my daughters. I then set up an itunes account for each and I started to pay into their accounts for them to purchase some music and all was fine after syncing each nano with their access account and itunes account.
However, it quickly became apparent that they could not share their music between account even though they are on the same computer. I have tried various searches but to be honest some of the methods suggested I just dont understand hence my appearance here.
Can I now save the music they have purchased etc and take it all to one account and then sync them again with the one itunes account or would i be better to keep the different accounts and change the set-up so that they can see and sync with each others music.
I recently moved from France to the USA. So, I modified my Apple account to USA, but I losted all my purchases. Is there a way to recover them ? Or is it still on the French store, so I just have to re-change my country to found my precedent purchases ?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI just got a new Macbook Pro a few days ago and I've put a few of my CDs on it, but today I tried to transfer albums from my external harddrive over to my Mac and got a little confused. My music has suddenly sorted itself differently and iTunes has separated songs from albums based on artist having other people featured in the songs and etc. I'm a very organized person and it's going to drive me crazy if I can't get everything to stay together, but I can't figure it all out.
Also, when transferring the songs onto my Mac I was just moving the files into the iTunes music folder. I don't know how to get them to actually go into iTunes though.
Is it possible to transfer an app for my account to my wife's account so she can use it on her phone. Tom Tom is the App and as I don't use it anymore it seems silly to have it and for it not to be used.

I have an old OLD old pc that has lots of great music on it. I was wondering if there is any way that I can get that music off of the computer without having to install Boot Camp or anything to my Mac? Do I have to convert it, somehow, into another format? Is it possible to just put a flash drive into the hard drive, save the music to it, then put the flash drive into my Mac, have my music?

When I try to sync songs into the iPhone through the Mac iTunes, nothing is transferred. The pictures are syncing correctly through iTunes, but songs on the iTunes library are not.
