many times I receive pictures that won't show up and I only get a small blue box with a question mark inside. Is the problem the format of the pictures or some other error? I know that on a PC I would get a small red box at times when something wouldn't load properly. Do I need some plugin or is the problem elsewhere?
View 7 RepliesMessages keeps switching the conversation view from "Show Names and Pictures" to just "Show Pictures". This is in the menu under: View > Messages > Show Names and Pictures. I have to change it multiple times a day, including every time I open the app from a closed state.
This is very confusing in group iMessage conversations where all the iMessages are coming from the same grey silhouette icon. The issue is only happening on my Mac mini. It's not happening on my MacBook Air. Both are running Mavericks 10.9.3...So I keep changing the setting here, but it somehow just switches back to Show Pictures only:
I open iphoto and its blank. I go to my HD and I see the pictures in my iphoto folder. Also the side part on iphoto won't show, the option to look at events and past 12 months and so on...How do I fix all of that?

Earlier today I copied my iPhoto library file and the iPhoto prefs file to from my Mac Pro to my MacBook (using Chronosync's "mirror" option), for a week away from home.
I've now come to using iPhoto on my MacBook, and noticed that the thumbnails for my modified pictures had reverted to thumbnails of the originals. Clicking on any of these modified images just brings up a large exclamation mark on a grey circle background.
I know that this normally means that iPhoto cannot find the relevant file in the library (usually because someone's been messing around in the library - which I haven't; I took a mirror image), but the odd thing is if I click on "Edit", the image I'm then presented with is the modified image, so it's still there and iPhoto damn well knows it.
I've tried opening iPhoto with alt-opt to get it to rebuild everything, but it hasn't made any difference.
Why doesn't iCloud on my new MacBook Pro receive pictures from my iPhone?

I tried everything redownloading Flash Quicktime and java. I went to quicktime and made sure only the quicktime box is checked. it is like my pictures don't show up and are replaced with the blue box with the question mark inside. I am not the only one with this problem apple calles it the Blue box of death. I tried everything.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have it set to create a mosiac of a folder from pictures in iphoto. I have over 40,000 pics and of different colors. whenever screensaver is turned on it uses greens to form a picture.
Anyone know the problem? I deleted photos and then imported them again.
I was forcibly migrated from DSL to Fiber Optic internet services (uverse) & ever since I am consistently seeing a small blue box with a white question mark in it where a picture should be. It is happening on multiple sites & it does it randomly only when I'm using my home router. If I am using another internet provider, it doesn't happen & I've checked a few forums & all of their solutions don't work for me. I was advised not to delete & reinstall Safari but I'm afraid it is only occuring at home that something is wrong with the services/router/signal because nothing else has worked. If I take it to the apple store or anything of the like, it will work so it's not as if I can "show" someone unless they're at my home.

I used a new USB flash drive this morning to transfer my pictures to. It showed it was transferring them then the screen went blue and nothing responded. I shut down the computer and unplugged everything but now when I turn the computer back on it shows my home screen and I can see the mouse icon moving around but I am unable to 'click" on any of my programs and get a response.

As of three days ago, pictures arriving in MacMail have not been showing up. Instead, there are small blue boxes with a question mark inside. Does anyone know what happened or what I did to cause this or what I can do to get the pictures to show up?
View 6 Replies View Relatedso I dont know why, but I have recently purchased a tmobile mobile broadband stick on an 18 month contract, but for some reason the pictures are not showing up.
For example , when making a thread, all the smilies and stuff have those white question marks in blue boxes.
Apparently the dongle just makes the mac all messed up and go crazy, and is reversible - have had a look on the web , but to no avail.
All pictures in my iphoto just show up as grey thumbnails. Tried library rebuild per directions, still no luck.

I have checked everything. And also when i do Expose to see all my windows i see itunes main windows that i need. When I click on it it doesnt show that window. How can i get it were i can see it?

I have iMac 27 and screen problem on start up i have blue vertical lines, when it start i have a lot of blue dots and nothing else. when I connect outside monitor its showing the same.
Just installed lion and still the same problem when it starts blue dots, when startup in safe mode loads of blue lines and dots on the screen.

I just downloaded seasons 1-4 of The Office, and they're in .AVI files. How do I import them into my iTunes TV Show Library? MUST I convert them ALL first?
Note, I want to view them on my iPod also.
When I save a screen shot and email it... it comes out on the other end as a small image (thumbnail?). There has got to be something I'm missing in the setup or preferences... but why aren't my attachments full size?

I will be majoring in Office Administration but I might transfer to Computer Information Systems. Is 13" really that small that it is bad to run multiple applications? I mean, compared to Acer 10" laptops I think 13" shouldnt really be a problem. I'm not thinking about buying a 15" because I think they are overpriced and I will mostly use it to run MS Office apps, social networking, surfing the web & working in Photoshop. Are those extra 2" really such a big issue? I'm already paying almost $1300 including tax, so why waste almost $700 more including tax for 2" extra? That sounds ridiculous, especially if you have to work hard to save that money.
View 24 Replies View RelatedSo I got a bit surprised after I installed iTunes 10 that I can't adjust the artwork in list view bigger! Anyone else noticed this? In iTunes 9 you could just drag the bar besides the artwork and it would increase as much as you liked. Now if you click on Album by artist you can choose artwork small - medium - large, but it's not big enough!
