Applications :: Program That I Can Download Which Will Convert Avi To Mpeg?
Sep 27, 2007
Does anyone know a program I can download that will convert avi to mpeg? Everything I've found so far is usually only a free trial. I've tried MPEG streamclip, but it doesn't recognize avi and the conversion is screwed up.
I need a program (preferably free since this is a school project) that can convert a shockwave movie into mpeg-4 so I can add and edit it in an iMovie project.
I have a Sanyo Xacti and took video in the best format possible MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 (family vacation). Now it happends that I need to convert this movies to be able to use them (create family videos etc). I would like to convert them to avi format but I dont manage to find software for mac capable to do so.
I am trying to down convert a large avi file to smaller scale using mpeg streamclip, however, I am getting no audio at all when i drop in any clip. When I click play in the preview window it shows no audio at all.
I have OS 10.6.1 and I want to convert some FLV files generated by download helper in Fire fox from youtube.com to an MPEG file I can convert to an MP3. When I had tiger, this was easy as cake. I would use Switch and iSquint to do it. Sadly, iSquint is no longer being developed, visualhub no longer works because the key in 10.4 didnt get moved to 10.6 and now its perma-broken. Switch just crashes now. Searched all over for something that works and does what I want but they all want me to pay money. I have XP but I am on the verge of dropping snow leopard because I dont notice the improvement except my printer is not supported and half of my programs do not work now.
I took a vid of my cousin's basketball game and I was going to put it together and make a movie out of it in Final Cut Pro X. Only issue is, the videos are in MPEG-1 format, so Final Cut Pro doesn't support them.
Anyone know of a program to convert an mp3 into a ringtone? It being Universal would be great and free would be good too. If the phone matters, it is a Samsung SGH-T509.
Does anyone know of any good free software to convert pdf files to word files so that I can edit them. I have seen the online converters but was wanting to know if there is a downloadable product for macs.
After ripping a DVD to a Mac on MacTheRipper, how would I then convert the VOB. files into MP4. files to make them compatible with iTunes so I can sync them onto my iPod.
I have handbrake, but want something that will allow me to convert any of my video files to avi or mpeg-2, these seem to stream a bit better and want to convert all to mainly avi, but something with a bit more options would be better. Mac only no windows apps!
I am looking for a reliable quick batch converter that can convert the .mov movie files my camera shoots to mpg2 to burn quickly to a blank DVD to give to family members to play on a regular DVD player. The clips are good, but my family is eager to watch the files on TV, & it is an ordeal & too time consuming to have to go into a video & DVD editor for everything I or my family shoot with my digicam. I need a quick way to get these files to DVD for immediate viewing.
I need to download some of my photos from Flickr to my Mac and I'm wondering if there is any free/cheap software to do this on the Mac. I believe I could do this with Download on Windows but I'd rather not.
I am looking for a program to download websites for later offline viewing. I am spending tomorrow with my grandmother and she doesn't have the internets but I'd like to download some free programming manuals for later viewing. Unfortunately they don't have a PDF. Internet Explorer for Mac had a really nice feature where you could download a site for later offline viewing. I haven't seen a comparable feature in any other browser.
Tomato Torrent, BitTorrent AND Transmission are not downloading torrents. I've tried them all on many different files and not one single torrent file is working on any of the programs.
Tomato says: "Last Error: Tracker announce still not complete 180 seconds after starting it, (at Mon Sep 14 '09 @ 10:12:24 PM)" OR "Last Error: Problem connecting to tracker - <urlopen error (60, 'Operation timed out')>, (at Mon Sep 14 '09 @ 10:13:09 PM)"
There seems to be a problem with connecting to tracker, however I have been using Tomato for months and it has worked perfectly in the past.
Can anyone suggest something better than unison for usenet? Currently I am using giganews as my usenet and the speeds are pretty crappy to what I get on newsbin for pc.
This should really be directed at Elgato but I reckon I'll get a quicker answer from you guys I'm thinking about picking up an EyeTV Hybrid, which can receive digital terrestrial channels. Here in NZ, Freeview HD uses MPEG-4 and AAC, and I can't find any information about whether EyeTV supports these formats. Does anyone know?
I have some Naruto movies that I want to watch on my macbook (version 10.6.4) the problem is the movies are in wmv format and if I watch it through Qucktime it takes forever to load the whole movie.
My question is , Is there a program that can convert wmv to mgp? (quicktime uses mpg i may be wrong it just loads faster I observed)
Is it possible to change the default behaviour of wiki calendars to be hidden instead of visible. I have a wiki with a calendar with quite may calendars in it. The problem is that it gets very clotted when all event in all of them are shown. You can untick the box next to the calendar to hide it, but the problem is that this does not stay after a refresh or logout when viewing via a webbrowser. If I use the iCal client, a hidden calendar stays hidden (in iCal, not on web)
What I would like to do is change so "hidden" or "unchecked" is the default on the server.
On a client using iCal the setting for Checked or Unchecked is stored in :
user/Library/Calendars/C9BE5C0A-6EED-48D7-97F8-6DB02EA6A55A.calendar/Info.plist (your numbers will be different ) And the specific command in info.plist is:
<key>Checked</key>
<integer>1</integer>
As an alternative to change the default behaviour on the server for all calendars, changing this setting for each of the calendars would be possible if I only could find out how!?
I am looking for a program to convert avi files to another format so I can watch them on my xbox's dvd player. My Xbox won't read the avi format for some reason.
I went to the website and looked for the program called "Burn" but I couldn't tell what files it uses. I have .avi and .mkv files and I need them to play on a DVD player. I know if they are converted to Video_TS files that BURN will put those on a DVD but I need to know if I can go straight from .mkv and .avi or mpeg to a DVD that can be played on a DVD player using the Burn program.
