View 3 RepliesAlright, so I have two songs by The Beatles, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and With a Little Help from My Friends. If you don't already know, these songs cut into each other, so if you play With a Little Help right after Sgt. Pepper, it will sound like one song (this was intended). What my problem is is that the way that the songs are sorted (by Artist), With a Little Help from My Friends is before Sgt. Pepper, where it should be vice-versa. Is there any way I can fix this problem, without having to change the way the songs are sorted (I like them organized that way) or creating a playlist? Maybe an Applescript or application?
View 2 Replies View Relatedi have my itunes organised by date added so i can see whats newest in my library.
the only issue is that it doesnt list the tracks in the right order in the album and sometimes splits each album into smaller batches of tracks.
iTunes won't list my tracks chronologically once they get past 9. I have a lecture series that has 30 tracks in it and when I number them from 1-30 as soon as iTunes sees another 1, like at the beginning of all the numbers from 10-19, it puts them after the number 1, and then moves onto the number 2. It's a real drag and other than alphabetizing the first 9 numbers I'm at a loss of what to do. Is there somewhere in preferences I can have it recognize two-digit numbers properly?
View 2 Replies View RelatedJust upgraded to iTunes 10.6. Now when I view an album in my music library, the tracks are sorted by Artist, not by track number. I can sort by Genre, etc by clicking the tab above the column, but not for track.

When I burn a playlist to a CD, the disc doesn't list track titles and artists. When I've searched the community I find posts that show how to change burning preferences, but these posts were from a couple of years ago.It appears that Lion doesn't give us the options for burning that Snow Leopard did.Are there settings that I can change to fix this problem, or is this another example of Apple becoming less user friendly.
View 14 Replies View RelatediTunes has been unable to find the track names for a number of CD's I've recently tried to import. Some of them are on the iTunes store too. Each time I try it says "No error". Once it said "this user is not authorised for online use" but that stopped when I quit iTunes and restarted. Should I delete the app then reinstall?

I have about a hundred "songs" of comedians telling jokes. The trouble is that these comedians get mixed up in my songs and whenever I shuffle through i always run into one of these comedians.
Is it possible to only have a certain group of "songs" stay in a playlist, away from the full list of songs?
I'm putting together a huge selection of reggae and island music for a luau and was wondering if, when I transfer the playlist to my iPod Touch, if it will keep the order of the songs or rearrange them to alphabetical. I'd like to keep the order I put it in, not alphabetical. Thoughts?

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy mac took a crap and had to rebuild the os. I have all my itunes music tagged properly with embedded album covers in the mp3 files and everything.
I want to have my music in this order: artist (alphabetically) ,year (ascending 2001 to 2008 for example for each artist) and albums that have various artist with them with to stay grouped together in itunes. Even though I click make a compilation. It wont order that way. I had it last time.
For example UNKLE's war stories has various artists collaborating on the album, it stays spread apart...I want it to be listed together as one album and not spread apart. But, i want to keep the artist names.
I've been trying to organise the videos in my iTunes library.
Why won't iTunes organise movies like it does music by grouping the files in the artist folder?
I've Handbraked a few DVD movies and extras.
They are scattered in the Movie folder by the name of each video, not by movie (album) title.
How do I organise them into Album folders like Music and TV Shows are
my problem i that when I import CDs such as the main artist but featuring someone else, the album flow wil not be sequential, instead when i sync my iphone/ipod i end up getting artists <blank> featuring <blank>. Same goes for front row.
Is there a solution, or a useful application for itunes organization?
Just went from Windows to mac and want to bring my windows itunes playlists. when I hit export and save it on a usb and hit import in mac itunes, then I get the playlist but its all empty. It kinda sucks if I have to sort out all the good stuff again, so I hope I can get my old playlist back. I have it on my ipod touch as well, so I dunno if you can transfer playlist from ipod to mac
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm actually not even sure where to post this. I just attempted to burn an iTunes playlist to CD using my MacBook Pro. However, when we attempted to import the cd to my Niece's windows computer the CD title as well as each song were titled "we suck". This is very odd because the titles are correct when viewing the CD using my MacBook. Has anyone ever seen this before? Could this be a virus or something?
View 5 Replies View RelatedFor some reason I'm no longer able to add mp3 files to an iTunes playlist. I can play the songs individually but can't make a playlist with the files. When I try to drag and drop them they just get a red cross and they don't get added.
Any suggestions on why this is and what to do?
Can someone give me a smart playlist way of finding songs that are not in a playlist?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've found since updating to iTunes 10.1 that my playlists occasionally skip to the next track during playback. This has never happened before. I haven't tried to replicate it elsewhere, but did try a local reinstall. Has anyone else encountered this problem?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a fair bit of music in iTunes, and it has bugged me somewhat that often when I want to delete many files something it's easier to go into a playlist to find them. But when I delete them from there it only removes them from that playlist, not the computer. I guess this makes sense, and I suppose nowadays space isn't often a problem.
In case this isn't clear, what I want to do is go into a playlist, then select songs, then delete those songs from my hard drive.
I have a friend that is coming to visit but they wont be bringing their mac. However they want to be able to play some of their tunes on my mac. is there a way to save an itunes playlist and have it playable on another mac? If they logged in through the itunes store or something?

View 4 Replies View RelatedAnyone know of an app to auto shut down your mac after it's done running a an iTunes playlist or letting another app run it's course? The Energy saver shut down schedule option is too rigid for me. Basically, I like to listen to a some music as I go to sleep and would love for my mac to shut itself down after it's finished with the playlist. If there isn't a program would anyone know of an applescript that would do that?
View 13 Replies View RelatedI am relatively new to iTunes, and have burned dozens of CDs before. However, all of those CDs have been complete albums. I tried to burn my first mix recently, and found that the CD had been burned with the songs in the wrong order.
I must be doing something wrong, but there doesn't seem to be too many areas where iTunes makes it even possible to mess something this simple up, so I pretty confused.
I make a playlist, hit burn CD, select Audio CD, and go. The songs make it, but like I said, in the wrong order. They get organized by album, but I just want the CD to look like the playlist on the computer.
Has anyone run into something like this? It is iTunes 8.0.2.
Is it possible take a playlist of songs and put those songs onto an external hard drive without finding each song in the finder and dragging it into the hard drive? I want to move just a certain few songs from my Mac Pro to my Power Book and I'd rather not waste CDs/DVDs in the process... but getting each file individually would be a huge waste of time. How can I make this process easier?
