I'm looking for Illustrator CS3 (not CS4), but can't seem to find it anywhere. I've done lots of googling, and have even ventured to torrent sites to try and find a torrent with the original trial installation files. All I've found is 3+ Gb files containing more than one app, and it would take an age to download that.

If you read in the adobe user forums it seems a lot of Mac users buy Adobe Suites in the Windows version and run it via Bootcamp? Or, am I mistaken? Everything shows up fine in Acrobat and the Illustrator file is huge, indicative that the links are actually in the Illustrator file. I can place it into a new Illustrator document and everything shows up just fine, but I can't edit it. How do I extract the links from this Illustrator file and/or relink them to the one that is in the .ai itself?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm struggling already whole with trying to copy and paste a excel diagram from excel 2008 to adobe illustrator CS3. Now I found out on the microsoft homepage, that this is a known problem and also in several forums people where struggling with this. Microsoft suggests to copy something from illustrator into excel and afterwards it should also work the other way around. This is definitely not the case. I really need to solve this issue. Does somebody know if there is another solution, or to whom one could contact, or if a update which could solve this problem is in the pipeline?

Is there anyway to open a eps where the artwork is bigger than the artboard (if the artboard is set to max, if there is a max?) in illustrator?
View 1 Replies View RelatedYesterday, I had to re-format my external hard drive so that it could be "recordable" within Pro Tools, which wasn't a major issue, I just had to move everything from my Lacie drive to another drive, do the format, and then throw it all back on. It took a little while but this also included moving my nearly 60gb itunes library. Now that it is on the newly formatted hard drive, itunes doesn't seem to be able to find the majority of the songs any more. I've tried changing the music folder and a few other things, and there is no way I'm going through and doing the "cant find music - click here to find it" palava. Is anyone aware of a way that you can "mass find" all of the music in any way other than starting the library again and adding all the music (I don't really want to lose all of my play counts and ratings if possible!)

When I installed Illustrator CS3 at the first time, I didn't complete it and closed it. While I installed it again, it said "Adobe Illustrator CS3 cannot be installed because it conflicts with Adobe Illustrator CS3". I was be stopped on this step, so I deleted the Illustrator CS3 from Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers without clicking it to uninstall.
And I deleted other Illustrator CS3 files. After that, I tried to reinstall Illustrator CS3 again, but it kept to say "Adobe Illustrator CS3 cannot be installed because it conflicts with Adobe Illustrator CS3". I cannot find any Illustrator in my MAC. What is wrong? How can I install Illustrator again? Should I format the computer and install all the applications again?
I open After Effects, Cinema 4D and when I open Illsutrator the computer gets really slow. I mean, I have itunes and photoshop open and it take like 5 seconds or more to open Safari. The dock does not open, is like if I was using all teh computer resouces but I can not really isolate where. I believe is Illustrator but I mean... I have 10GB of ram!!! and I am not using anything heavy in Illsutrator, probably 3MB at the most files.

On one of the office computers (G4 Mirrored Door running OS X 10.3.9), the CS2 Illustrator has stopped working. It starts the load process, but then gives the error message "Missing Required Plugins: BRS Pencil Tool/ExpandS."
The Adobe suggestions for fixing the problem are:
1. Delete the CS2 Illustrator Settings file and the com.adobe.illustrator.plist file and restarting.
2. Restarting Illustrator under a different User account.
I have tried both of these with no success. This seems a common enough problem, yet scouring the web yielded only those two options (PC users were able to identify a corrupt/missing font that caused the problem on those machines).
Each time I try to open an existing Illustrator file it quits unexpectedly. I can however open a new document but for some reason it crashes when I open an existing file.

I'm a UI designer so I use Adobe CS products every day at work. The company I just started gave me a Apple's mighty mouse (codeless mouse) and I found it very erratic. While I'm working on Illustrator and Photoshop documents I use mouse and Option/Command/Shift keys on the keyboard simultaneously to create mockups. Even though my finger is not touching the surface of the mouse the documents moves right and left, zoom in and out by itself. This erratic behavior happens only in Illustrator, Photoshop and Google Maps so I was wondering if this is a known issue in Adobe products or the mouse I got happens to be defective.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am poised to make the change from PC to Mac. However, I have a decision to make. I am currently running a 3ghz QUAD core, 8gb RAM with Windows Vista. The system runs well (yes, even though it is Windows) but I wish to move to Mac and ditch the Windows world. I plan to use Logic Pro so need a Mac. I have 2 x 24" monitors that set me back 700�. I was thinking to keep those and perhaps buy a Mini Mac. The mini Mac can support 2x displays.
My big question is this: If I went for the 2.66Ghz Intel Duo Core Mini Mac with 8gb RAM, would this tun Logic Pro without any problems? Would it also run software like Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator / Premiere without hanging or being very slow? Who has a mini Mac and currently has these softwares installed? Please advise? Should I simply sell everything and go for an iMac?
Running a powerbook pro intel OS X 10.4.11. I have adobe create suite and have used photoshop and image ready fine for a tear or so. But now my wife wants to use illustrator and it just loads up as could not be launched because of a shared library error:

i've recently purchased a copy of Adobe's web design package and while I have not experienced any problems with the other applications, Illustrator and Photoshop keep unexpectedly quitting within minutes of me using them. I already had copies of both these programs but I did use the Adobe uninstaller so I didn't think this would be a problem. I've sent reports to Apple.

Just bought a used MacBook5,1 and need to load a bunch of fonts to support Illustrator, etc. Is there a way to select and drag multiple fonts over to the MacBook instead of installing them individually? Ideally, I'd like to replicate the fonts in my 24" iMac. Is this a simple copy/paste procedure?
