OS X :: How To Disable Magic Mouse Scrolling In Photoshop / Illustrator

Jan 15, 2010

This is driving me nuts*the new Magic Mouse is so touchy that while I am working in Photoshop or Illustrator, it is constantly shifting the page around.

Imagine you were using the Hand tool, and it was moving left, right, up down at random

I have been looking for a way to disable this, but can't find anything application specific.

Hardware :: Mighty Mouse And Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop

Oct 4, 2010

I'm a UI designer so I use Adobe CS products every day at work. The company I just started gave me a Apple's mighty mouse (codeless mouse) and I found it very erratic. While I'm working on Illustrator and Photoshop documents I use mouse and Option/Command/Shift keys on the keyboard simultaneously to create mockups. Even though my finger is not touching the surface of the mouse the documents moves right and left, zoom in and out by itself. This erratic behavior happens only in Illustrator, Photoshop and Google Maps so I was wondering if this is a known issue in Adobe products or the mouse I got happens to be defective.

OS X :: Magic Mouse Not Scrolling Or Swiping, Even Using 10.6.3?

May 8, 2010

Magic Mouse not scrolling or swiping even with OSX 10.6.3 ? I have an intel iMac with OSX 10.6.3 installed and when I replaced my mighty mouse with a new magic mouse, I only got basic functionality. When I tried to install the Wireless Software Update, the system told me I had a newer version already installed. I since learned that the software update was for previous OSX versions and that my version had the necessary software update included. So why does my Magic Mouse not scroll or swipe and why does my preference window not show the added functionality that I bought this mouse for?

Hardware :: Need Magic Mouse To Do Inertia Scrolling?

Oct 23, 2009

I like how the new Magic Mouse has that smooth inertia-scrolling like the iPhone. Do you think this will be a feature in 10.6.2 or will you NEED the Magic Mouse to use that feature? I think it would be pretty lame that you have to buy new equipment to enable a software feature.

Anyone else think there should be an option to invert the up/down scrolling on the Magic Mouse to make it like the iPhone? Try it for yourselves - just flip the Magic Mouse around and try to scroll. You'll find that it's surprisingly natural and intuitive.

Mac Mini :: Running LOGIC Pro / Adobe Photoshop - Illustrator

Nov 9, 2010

I am poised to make the change from PC to Mac. However, I have a decision to make. I am currently running a 3ghz QUAD core, 8gb RAM with Windows Vista. The system runs well (yes, even though it is Windows) but I wish to move to Mac and ditch the Windows world. I plan to use Logic Pro so need a Mac. I have 2 x 24" monitors that set me back 700. I was thinking to keep those and perhaps buy a Mini Mac. The mini Mac can support 2x displays.

My big question is this: If I went for the 2.66Ghz Intel Duo Core Mini Mac with 8gb RAM, would this tun Logic Pro without any problems? Would it also run software like Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator / Premiere without hanging or being very slow? Who has a mini Mac and currently has these softwares installed? Please advise? Should I simply sell everything and go for an iMac?

Applications :: Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator - Windows Or Mac Version

Nov 30, 2009

Are you using the Mac or Windows version, (via Bootcamp/Fusion)? Which version is better to buy, Mac or Windows? If you read in the adobe user forums it seems a lot of Mac users buy Adobe Suites in the Windows version and run it via Bootcamp? Or, am I mistaken? I'm about to order CS4 Design Premium and I want to make sure I order what's easiest to learn and best to use.

i've recently purchased a copy of Adobe's web design package and while I have not experienced any problems with the other applications, Illustrator and Photoshop keep unexpectedly quitting within minutes of me using them. MacBook Pro :: Word, Photoshop, Illustrator And Others Quit Unexpectedly On Opening, Over And Over Again?

Mar 28, 2012

I keep getting "problem reports" when trying to open applications that have worked fine for years. Microsoft Word, Photopshop, Illustrator an Avery CD Sticker maker all give me the problem report window with the yellow trianlge and exclmation point when I try to open them and say:  "____ has quit unexpectedly. Click reopen to open the application again. This report will be sent to Apple automatically."  Clicking reopen offers the same thing again, and again, and again. It started yesterday with Photoshop and Illustrator, so I took them off my computer and tried to reinstall them. Now I get "Install Photoshop has quit unexpectedly. etc.." I ran the disc utility and it said my hard drive was OK.

MacBook Pro :: Model To Use Programs Such As Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, And Dreamweaver?

Jun 19, 2012

I plan to get a mac book pro this month. I plan to use programs such as photoshop, illustrator, indesign, and dreamweaver on a daily basis. I do not know if I should get the high end model : 2.6GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7, Turbo Boost up to 3.6GHz8GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x4GB750GB Serial ATA Drive @ 5400 rpmSuperDrive 8x (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)MacBook Pro 15-inch Glossy Widescreen Display I can always get an anti glare enclosue of film for the screen. or The lower end model custom built: 2.3GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7, Turbo Boost up to 3.3GHz8GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x4GB1TB Serial ATA Drive @ 5400 rpmSuperDrive 8x (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)MacBook Pro 15-inch Hi-Res Antiglare Widescreen Display I guess my concern is the dedicated graphics card as well as the speed of the programs, I do not want a year to pass and my computer is slower than ever.Is the 2.6ghz really more noticable than the 2.3ghz. Does the graphics card 1GB difere from the 512 in terms of performance. I tend to have two to three programs open. I did not plan on exceed $2500 including apple care.

One of my absolute biggest pet peeves with the Mighty Mouse (aside from the input lag), was that you had to LIFT your middle finger off the right side of the mouse for the left click to register. You simply cannot rest your right-clicking finger on the mouse and left click with your pointer finger.
