Anyone know of a programmy that takes a bunch of pics, resizes them, and saves them in what series of names you want? I'm getting kinda tired of taking 100+ pics and having to manually resize them all for email. I've tried installing Google's Picassa a few times, but when I mount the dmg, viewing it does nothing. It seems like Google hasn't worked on it in a while anyways.
View 6 RepliesI'm trying to send off images to a friend and I don't want them to be resized...but Mail keeps shrinking them. I've been through the Preferences panel and poked through the Help files, but haven't found anything on this. I finally resorted to going online and sending the photos using my email provider...which was annoying, but it worked. Next time round...can anyone tell me how to fix this? I can't recall what it says in my sig...but I'm running Leopard.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to print a picture in a PDF. When I scale it in Preview or Firefox, it looks correct. When I hit print it's either bigger or smaller than the picture on screen. When I try to print from Preview, it resizes it, instead of just leaving it the original size and dumping it on the page somewhere. Basically, I have a picture that my niece drew for me. I am going to make it the image that goes on the front of a Shuttle PC I'm building for my mom to replace her Mini. (long story, but another Mini for me!) Does anybody have a hint on how I can get it to print without resizing or scaling to fit the page? Another part of the problem that is probably related... In Preview, it says the picture is less than 5x3, but it's 7x5.5. If I can get Preview to understand how big it really is, maybe it will print right.

View 3 Replies View RelatedNoticing odd behavior even with the recent update to Lion last week. First off my apps are forgetting which window I designated for them. Second iPhoto 11 9.2.3 keeps asking me if I want iPhoto to be the default program when I plug a digital camera to my Mac Pro. It also resizes itself to default ratios.

My iMac G5 resizes its display on its own. The screen will suddenly go dark, then reappear in a smaller size with a black band around the edges. Eventually it will resize again to the correct display. I found when this happens it is "seeing" two displays, both the iMac, and an obviously non-existent "VGA Display." This doesn't happen all that often, and othewise everything seems to be working perfectly. Is this a software issue I can take care of, or an early warning sign of something more perfidious?

For two weeks my screen will go blue and then any data on the screen will come back, either to normal or expanded in scale. In the desktop preferences it will offer desktop and VGA options. Over the last two days it will resize smaller with black edges and display the last wallpaper I used not the current one. Any help in correcting this would be great it's an iMac and runs Mac OSX Version 10.4.11
I have MBP Tiger 10.4.11 intel powerbook, purchased in '06 when they were initally released, & the logic board was replaced twice under Apple Care warranty. Past problems have been a nightmare to say the least. Has been doing OK tho' with some minor glitches since warranty expired. This week, it has begun randomly doing all sorts of strange things without command such as the following: drawing squares in the middle of a page, highlighting within any application, highlighting names of files, dragging names of files at random, dragging applications out of dock, dragging names of files without command, dragging items out of sidebar. (I have the box checked to ignore accidental input from the trackpad; under trackpad, only clicking & dragging are checked), I've zapped the pram to restore defaults and repaired permissions. Tried to run the Tech Tools CD, but it made an odd noise when I held the C key down upon restart and the disk didn't work.

I am getting numerous duplicates of tracks downloaded to my iPhone. (about 10%)
These tracks are not duplicated in iTunes, and interestingly it is often the first track of an album that is repeated.
Though sometimes it is the whole album. Also many albums' artwork does not download. Both the iPhone and iTunes are up to date
Whenever I to open Safari, over 80 windows open immediately. My homepages are two websties and I'll get probably 30 or so windows with my Home "pages" combination, and then another 50 of windows of sites I visted recently. If I proceed to close the windows out, Would reinstalling Safari work? Or does this look like a virus and should I just restore from my time machine backup? My most recent backup is roughly 1 week old and my external has not been connected since this began to happen. It's worth noting this only happens to Safari--Firefox works perfectly fine. No other odd behaviors (ie. system lag, program crashes, etc.) have appeared.

when I switch users on my mid 2007 iMac (with Mavericks 10.9.3), the background pictures resizes and the dock doesnt load. I've noted also that switching applications via command+tab doesn't show the icons of the applications, and when accessing "Notifications", it doesnt draw correctly on the screen (the area of the notifications center appears on the right of the screen, but an extension of the notifications is also drawn under hte desktops icons).

I have a folder with numerous subfolders, each containing numerous files that i would like to batch unlock (vs tediously unlocking each individual folder).
failed attempts involve:
- tried the following terminal action: sudo chflags -R nouchg ( as suggested on this website (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106237) but it did not work.
I did not try the other suggestions on the website because it started getting really complicated and i was afraid to do something that may cause damage/delete my files
- tried unlocking the folders and subfolders, however each individual file within the corresponding folder/subfolders remained locked
Partial but suboptimal solutions tried:
- i found a partial but not optimal solution to my problem on this site:
however, the option-command-I will only allow me to unlock files each subfolder at a time (as i need to actually highlight the files themselves).
is there a way where i could just unlock all the folder/subfolders/files within an entire directory in one fell swoop?

So, my question is, where did those pictures go? I'm hoping that they are stored in some folder somewhere (which I have been unable to find) and that they are NOT just part of the monstrous "iPhoto Library" file in the Photos folder where I can't actually get at them.

We got (by mistake) a kid's digital camera (MiCam Junior) that only advertises itself as being compatible with Windows, and which uses some (supplied) Windows software to download the pictures...
At first I thought it was no big deal because most (real) cameras don't need special software but just behave pretty much like an external drive.
But for some reason, this one doesn't - it is not picked up by iPhoto or Image Capture...
What should I try next?
I am on vacation and my future roommate received a lease that I also need to return to the landlord. He said it would be no problem to get it to me, and now I have 6 jpeg files.I have to send these to a bank first so I need an application that can take the text out of pictures. That's it.
