Applications :: Finding Browser With Bookmarks Sidebar
Jan 26, 2009I've been stuck using FF cos I'm addicted to a Bookmarks Sidebar. Haven't found this in Safari, Opera or Camino. Anyone know if this feature exists via an add-in in a non FF browser? Looking for a faster browser than FF with this feature.

Aug 18, 2010I want to be able to select multiple links in my bookmarks sidebar so I can organize certain bookmarks into a folder.
In windows I could just use the shift or ctrl keys to select multiple items. How does this feature work on a Mac?
UPDATE: How do you select multiple items in general?
I was able to organize my bookmarks through the "organize bookmarks" feature.
Applications :: Camino 2.0 Beta 2 Vs Safari 4 Beta?
Mar 4, 2009I like Safari's U.I. very much, but, everytime I load around 5 pages at the same time it starts to freeze and give me the rainbow circle on the mouse pointer. If I open the same sites with Camino everything works great and even faster than Safari.
I do not want to quite switch to Camino, because its UI is ugly, but its really superior to Safari on speed terms and has the same compatibility as Firefox, because its Gecko engine (?).
I will miss Top Sites and Safari's UI so much

Jun 30, 2012This was happening with my old 2006 Macbook. I just upgraded to a new MacBook Pro the other day and I am still having the same problem. For years it worked without a problem. One day I cleared the cache and Safari no longer saved bookmarks or allowed me to delete exisiting ones.
I am able to delete old ones and add new, but the program reverts to previously saved very old settings on restart.

Feb 24, 2009Seems Glimmerblocker isn't working with the beta release of Safari 4. Anyone have any luck blocking ads? Also, I'd love to block flash. The inability to block flash is probably the main reason I could never use Safari full time. The browser looks amazing and is very snappy, but alas.... I need plugin support.

So, I uninstalled it (using the uninstaller), restarted, installed it, restarted again and still have the same problem. Feb 26, 2009I was very excited like everyone to install new Safari 4 and the excitement sustained for a while. Ubiquitously, it is visually delightful meeting Apple Standards. However, I lost lot of plugins that I had for earlier Safari version. Plugins like: DivX player, Real player are gone after I installed the new version. Jun 7, 2012After my recovery drive went missing and trying to reinstall it, had to do a format of my hard drive and reinstall everything once I got OS X reinstalled and up-to-date, I tried to import my bookmarks from a backup bookmarks file, when I quit safari and re-open safari bookmarks were missing and default ones back in place. When searching though the forums for how to fix this problem but too know unluck they did not work.
