Dec 13, 2010I have an off brand MP3 player. It does not show up in I-Tunes.
How can I transfer my MP3 files to it.
I also have an I-Touch and that works fine.

Nov 1, 2009Can anyone tell me if its possible to transfer music from my ipod to new itunes library on new computer. My old laptop died and I hadnt backed up my itunes library. I still have all music I want on my ipod and have recovered my purchased content but cant sync ipod or will lose all the content. A lot of my old library had been transferred from cds and I dont want to go through all that process again.

Jun 19, 2009Just upgraded to the iPhone OS 3.0 on my 1st gen iPod Touch and when I turn the volume up whilst it's in the iPod Hi-Fi, the volume dips when I've finished turning it up... When I push the volume up again the volume slider on the iPod touch then moves down to where it dipped.it's quite hard to explain! Basically, when I turn the volume up to 50%, the sound dips to 25%.... the slider still shows 50% until I press the volume up button and it would move the slider to 25%. (If I wanted to play my music at 50% I would have to turn it up to 75% and wait for it to dip to 50%!)I have reset the iPod touch and restored it but the problem still exists. OS 1.0 and 2.0 didn't have this problem. Does this happen to anyone else? Is there a solution?

I tried using VLC to export the flv files as mp4 or mov, but when I play the file on Quicktime, only the audio works. Apr 5, 2009I got a new iMac on the weekend, so i transferred all my stuff over (by hand, not time machine cause i wanted a fresh install), I have a folder that i store my Transmission downloads in, so i put it back in the same place as it was on the old mac, and i kept all my old .torrent files. Now before if i deleted a torrent from the list but not the file, it would just check if the file was there and continue, but now it's not doing that, it's just overwriting them, because i had a few that weren't fully complete yet. So i'm wondering, is there a way to make Transmission check and see if the file exists first and continue instead of redownloading it all? i clicked Verify Local Data and that did nothing.

Dec 12, 2009im looking to get a 10,000rpm velociraptor drive and transport all of my current apps and osx from the standard 320 gb drive to the velociraptor. how would i go about doing this? would i need to save everything on an external drive and then transfer it to the velociraptor? or could i just insert the velociraptor into drive bay 2 and then drag everything from the 320 gb hdd in drive bay 1 onto the velociraptor? ive never installed an os on a computer before so this might sound like a dumb question but any information that you might have would be helpful.

Nov 12, 2009My girlfriend and I attended the Toronto Raptors game last nightFor those of you from Toronto, we parked below the Novotel Hotel on the Esplande. Since both of us were coming from work we had are valuables in the trunk. (we both placed are stuff in the trunk prior to arriving at the location). Well when we arrived back to the car we noticed the back passenger side window was smashed in and the trunk was empty. We weren't the only ones who were robbed in that lot, there was at least one other car that was broken into according to the hotel staff. The police seem to think it was a drug addicts looking for items to sell for drugs and that it is not a coincidence that it was during a Raptors game. The lot has no cameras due to construction being done, so for those in Toronto who frequent Leafs or Raptors games do not park there, it's a cheap alternative but not worth the risk.

Sep 10, 2009I am looking for a way to synch my iTunes library on my macbook like an iPod. Basically, my main iTunes library on my mac mini is HUGE. Way bigger than will fit on the 250gb drive on my macbook. So I am looking for a way to sync my macbook in the same fashion as an iPod. I want to choose a few playlists to send over and keep synced. Maybe 50gb or so of data so that when I am away from my main computer I can have music with me. The reason I want to do this is my 30GB ipod recently dove off the deep end and I dont have the finances to get a new one yet. But I usually have my laptop with me most places and like to listen to music. I have found ways to keep 2 libraries synced but not be able to partially sync one. Anyone have any ideas on how or if this is even possible?

I put a new drive in the G5 & installed OS 10.5 (the G4 lap runs 10.4) and installed the apps from the original discs onto the new G5 drive. However, I am missing my Photoshop CS2 disc. My question is, how do I transfer Photoshop CS 2 from my laptop to the new G5 drive? I don't want to buy another $200 CS2 app.

I have only just recently tried to make the switch to using 'Mail'. Until now I've just used Gmail, but I wanted to try Mail because it syncs seamlessly with everything, auto-suggests calendar entries and to-dos etc. However, my questions are these: How much HD space do the emails take up? Are the still stored on Google's server (through Gmail), or do they take up my HD space?

Jan 4, 2010I've been using an old G4 iLamp model for years, and it's been wonderful. Today it wouldn't start up, and the repair guys told me that the power supply and logic board were shot. Doing the quick math, the cost of repair got me more than halfway to a much better machine, so I'll probably get a new iMac.
When I do, how do I get my information from the backup drive (LaCie using Quicksilver that backs up everything every night) onto the new machine? What about all of the software that is registered to the old machine serial #? Do I have to reregister it all? Is it as simple as plugging the backup drive up to the new machine and dragging and dropping literally everything on it onto the new hard drive?
