I've been filming with a Flip Mino HD, but the camera has been on a mount, forcing me to film with it upside-down. The quality is great but having the files on my MBP, they're upside-down.
How can I flip them?
I'd love to be able to do this in iMovie if it is a possibility
I installed iLife 09, and just recently tried iMovie 09 for the first time. Pulled some videos off of my Flip and dragged them into iMovie as I did with the Flip videos and iMovie 08. It looks like it imports them fine, but then in the preview panel it says "No Matching Video, choose a different option from the Show pop-up menu at the lower left corner". So i made sure that THAT menu says "All Clips" but still nothing is showing up.
I tried using quicktime pro to convert the avi files to mov files and still nothing is showing up. I dont know what I could be doing wrong but this is awful! I was so excited to have the new BETTER iMovie and I can't even use it for the only thing I want to use it for.
I have an upside down video that I try to keep flipping. I bought QuickTime Pro and the movie will appear fixed however everytime I upload the video is still upside down.
Info: MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2009), Mac OS X (10.5.8)
In other words, with a third part optical drive, is the colour of the tray exposed at all times (showing black or beige) or is this covered by something when the tray is closed?
I am trying to mount my MacBook upside down for use in the kitchen. I need to be able to flip the screen upside down. I have searched around and seen that many people suggest using the Alt/Option, Command Keys while clicking on Displays in System Preferences...this works on my new MacBook Pro but not on my older White MacBook 13 inch. I currently have OS X 10.5.8 running. Â
I'm working on a modding project, and due to the constraints of the lcd wiring in my old ibook, I need to mount the screen upside down. Is there a way in OSX to flip the screen so that it projects upside down?
I made the switch from PC land to the Imac last week. I have downloaded Flip 4Mac (free version), Windows Media Player 9 and of course have QT on my puter. There is a passworded website I frequent that has clips in WMV format. Some of them open in QT as a wmv file, others just hang and nothing opens. If I try to open directly with WMV I can't even get it to find the URL.
Should Flip 4Mac play all WMV files? Do I need the pro version?? If not what should play the files. When I called the website they were clueless why some files play and others don't. It seems that their newer files play but not their older files, which really makes no sense at all.
I want to project my live image feed from Photo Booth for a presentation to show somethign on my phone. Is there a way to flip the live image feed in Photo Booth? I do not want to flip pictures taken with Photo Booth. I just would like a way to view a non-mirror image of my laptop camera so I can diplay it through the projector.
I was going to buy the retina, then due to inability to upgrade decided on the 2.3 GHZ 15". I then dropped in 16gigs of ram and now I am going to ddrop in a 750GB Seagate Momentus XT 2.5" 7200RPM / Solid State Hybrid SATA (Serial-ATA) Drive, This is one fast HD. Now I have one fast little ol mac with 16gigs ram as opposed to the recommended 8, a hybrid HD with a 8 gig ssd and my question is "how do I convert the internal HD that I am taking out, to be a great little external hd", what is the best either firewire 800 or usb 3 external case that I can place it in?Â
Just wondering if you can help me. I am trying to listen to a live stream through a website using quicktime/flip 4 mac. It seems to work fine, it loads the audio stream, plays the audio and the 'play position' curser moves along, but the problem is, when the play position curser reaches the end of the bar, it goes right back to the beginning where it started...
Is this a common problem? If so, does anyone know how I can change it? I've tried it in Safari and in Firefox and they both appear to do the same thing.
My iMovie is cutting all the videos i load from this flip camera I have in half. I have no idea why, because I loaded some videos from a different flip camera earlier in the year, and that worked fine.
if im viewing a website and they have flash video i want to save, how will i do this. i cant right click and get info there specialized player wont allow this.
Anyone know of a Mac OS X software that will capture streaming video and save in a playable format in Mac OS X? Kind of like Download Helper for Firefox captures FLV, MP4, MP3, etc... and saves it to your hard drive.
I listen to and watch a lot of podcasts. Quite often, after I am done listening to a Audio Podcast I will watch a video podcast. Some times it gets stuck and won't play the video but plays audio fine. Anyone else have this problem?
It must be some ad blocker or something, but I can't view videos. I can't seem to find what's causing it. I can go to YouTube and watch a video, but when someone posts a link, I am unable to make it play. I'll get a site with a black rectangle where the video is supposed to be. Happens on links from tweets too. Safari and Firefox both. I tried the Flash uninstall/reinstall/disc permission/restart routine twice.
I'm trying to upload a Starcraft 2 tutorial video to youtube that was in .swf format, youtube doesn't like this though and it failed to upload.
Can anyone suggest a good .swf to (whatever format youtube likes) encoder or a different video recorder I can use to re-record the video in a friendlier format.
Here's my problem: I'd very much like to download an embedded flash video from this page: http://bit.ly/d24fEU. (One has to click 'start' for the flash to load.)
But web developers have become wily it seems. No longer do the old methods appear to work. I've tried: Apps for downloading youtube videos, using the Activity window in Safari (only a small SWF file of about 21kb appears in the activity window), numerous Firefox plugins To no avail.
There are apparently apps for Windows that can manage to download these tricky types of videos, is there anything or any method on the Mac? I've been ripping my hair out trying. I've searched the forum, but none of the suggested methods work.
I just wanted to know what is the best video app, one that will make video streaming smooth as silk..the only ones i know are : div x,flip4mac and perian, are there more or which one is better from the 3,should i have just one or all 3
I just wanna convert my .3pg videos from my phone to .avi or .mpg so i can upload them to my blog. I'm looking for a free application (not a trial with their watermark on the video) to make the conversion.
I'd like to download the videos within these two links, but I can't seem to figure out any way to do it. Does anyone know any magic tricks that will let me download these?
