I am looking for a webpage maker software like iweb but could not find a suitable one, I have tried several templete based software such as rapidweaver and sandvox but i found them too limited to make a custom work.
Dreamerweaver is too complex, I do not have time to all those staff, iweb is ok but just not enough to make a custom work.
Are there any other software to suits my needs ?
I am using Firefox for my web browsing on my 27' iMAC. Why do some webpages (like this one) stretch/fit across the entire width of the monitor screen and some only use 1/3 of the page?
Is it how the web page maker designed the page?
Since Imovie is Crap and cant play avi files, I need a new movie maker for a montage I'm making!

He's been using Family Tree Maker which is peecee only. I've read that Reunion is a good mac alternative, but will he be able to transfer his data from FTM to Reunion? What if anything would he lose?
View 16 Replies View RelatedI have a Mac and PC. I've been working on my family tree using the ever-so-popular Family Tree Maker. As a gift this year, someone gave me a copy of Reunion 9 for Mac. Knowing that I'm picky tho they also gave me a gift receipt. Should I bother opening it? Is it that much better/different from Family Tree Maker? I'm "guessing" since they both import/export GED, moving the data between the two is not difficult. Is there something one does better than the other? I'm not all together too pleased with the sample web-output of either of them (so far) but some guidance as to which is easier to work with and generally looks the nicest would be nice. Anyone use both have a firm positive/negative to say about either? Other than Reunion being on my mac instead of my pc, is there anything worthwhile it brings to the table?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have been working on a template where I have placed a two column table on the front page, left side being for a graphic for a letterhead, and right side column for text.
My problem is that on the second page, I would like the document to continue on without any table. I would like for the text to flow from the table into regular margin document on the second page. Is there a way to do this?
I am using the "White" template, and on my top page, the page title is right there in my webpage. How can I get rid of this? When I load the page with text edit, I get some crazy Apple page, so I don't seem to be able to edit the HTML directly. Honestly, I hope to find solutions to problems like these so that I can avoid HTML in the future.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI want to add 18 cd's in one folder to iTunes so I just dragged the folder into iTunes but iTunes took every song and placed it as an album instead of making it a compilation. Is there a way I can take all the songs of one cd and turn them into a compilation without having to "get info" every file? Cos now I have 300+ albums all with one song since the artists are all different. I know I can get the info per file and change it there but I don't wanna do that for all those songs.
View 4 Replies View RelatedUnder Windows, I always used Canon Easy Photprint and was pleased to see it is also part of my Canon installation for Mac. Except, when I try to use it, I can't see the bulk of my photos, presumably because iPhoto has packaged them into a photo library. So, in order to print a photo from Easy Photo Print, do I have to export it from iPhoto first? Is there some more elegant way? I tried printing from iPhoto itself, it was so-so, some photo sizes got messed up, especially in cropped photos.

The print to pdf function is great, but I've noticed that for longer documents it divides the file into 3 separate sections/documents. This is annoying.
Is there anyway around this within the operating system, or is there other software like "cute pdf writer" for the mac . It seems that "cute" was only written for PCs since Macs tend to not need it.
So Apple is adding the Firewire port to their 13" unibody Macbook "PRO" line.
As an incoming new apple user, what do you recommend for software to capture, burn ect on Macs?
I am really only used to Pinnacle, MS Movie Maker on PC's, so looking for a comparable product...

I downloaded the free Ringtone maker in iTunes. It shows up under Apps in my iTunes page, but there is no option to open it. I've tried double-clicking but nothing happens. I have also tried right-clicking, but this only gives me the following options: Get info (just leads back to app description in app store), Show in Finder, Show in iTunes store, and Delete.Â

1. System prints PDF files very slowly, about 50 seconds per page, a text only page. Sometimes will just continue sending data to printer as indicated by flashing green light on printer – does not stop sending and printer does not print. Problem also present when try to print PDF files as sent by others over internet (eg TD Bank statements).
2. Unable to cause double sided printing using IMac – no problem with PC.
Trouble shooting:Took the same one page text only file that was very slow in IMac, transferred to PC using a memory stick – connected printer to PC using same USB cable – page starts printing in about 1 seconds – no problems.No difficulty in printing Word files other than no double sided. Think the problems started with OSX Yosemite upgrade and the companion Safari upgrade. Auto update for software is on and no new updates. Old drivers removed and new one installed Tried Apple internet chat to resolve problem – was unable – the user forum indicates others have had difficulties with printing PDF files.

I seem to be having a hell of a time with all google related things. About 50% of the time I can't get to the google search page and get the error message Safari can't open the page [URL] because Safari can't connect to the server. When I am able to get into gmail, I am constantly being disconnected from gchat, like every 5 minutes. When it disconnects, it will try to reconnect, most of the time unsuccessfully. I then get the error message, unable to reach gmail please check your internet connection. This happens no matter what browser I use. However, when I try to connect from my husband's PC (same network), everything is fine. I've tried emptying my safari cache, tried uninstalling and re-installing both safari and firefox, and I am out of ideas. Any ideas about what is going on, and how I might fix this issue. I searched through the google help, and there were similar problems posted (none recently), but no answers on how to solve the issue. This has been going on for about a week now, and it's driving me up a wall.

I have a title page, a table of contents, and then the body of my document.
I have created a section at the bottom of the table of contents. Then in the footer, to the next section, I have tried to insert page numbers. BUT it routinely adds page numbers to the bottom of the first section as well. SO I have page 1 on the title page, page 2 on the table of contents; then I have page 1 on the first page and so on.
