Applications :: Movie Editor For Mac - Easy To Learn?
Apr 10, 2010
I need a video editor (for mac, obviously) that I can use to make movies with more advanced features than iMovie offers, yet is not the complex professional Final Cut Pro/After Effects. Basically, something that's moderately easy to learn, user-friendly, but with hopefully as much features as the pro software.
Basically, what I'm looking for is a program that has an easy-to-use WYSIWYG editor, but can create an extremely high-quality, media-rich site with Flash and HTML support. I need stuff like dynamic photo galleries, embedded flash movie players, flash jukeboxes, a content management system, a blog, etc. Maybe I'm trying to bite off more than I can chew, but our band needs this kind of site. We don't have the money to hire a professional web designer, either. I know there are already tons of threads on this, but none of them seem to help
I recently got a Macbook Pro and want to learn programming. I remember seeing a program that teaches you how to program, it was an interactive program. Anyone know the name of it?
I'm wanting to learn to speak Spanish and was wondering if anyone could recommend some inexpensive Mac software. I have a Windows version of something, but I don't have Windows on my Mac, and not much room on my HDD to install it, so I'm wanting a Mac one.
I've looked around online, and, honestly, it's a bit confusing without actually trying out the software.
I use the midi learn feature in logic pro, and it works well. But then I turn off the computer and midi controller and when I open logic again, it does not remember what it had learned.
Is FACES in iPhoto '09 meant to be able to "learn" to distinguish faces from one another? I've tagged a lot of faces and I thought once iPhoto had a certain number of images of a face it would be able to sort the remaining pictures better. But there are a lot of faces popping up under each thumbnail and they look nothing like the people I'm trying to tag. Was I expecting too much of FACES? Could I be doing something wrong?
I have PhotoShop on my Mac at the moment, but don't really do much with it - just the basics like cropping, resizing etc. Was thinking of swapping over to Pixelmator instead - it seems much easier to use with plenty of online tutorials.
I want to add 18 cd's in one folder to iTunes so I just dragged the folder into iTunes but iTunes took every song and placed it as an album instead of making it a compilation. Is there a way I can take all the songs of one cd and turn them into a compilation without having to "get info" every file? Cos now I have 300+ albums all with one song since the artists are all different. I know I can get the info per file and change it there but I don't wanna do that for all those songs.
Under Windows, I always used Canon Easy Photprint and was pleased to see it is also part of my Canon installation for Mac. Except, when I try to use it, I can't see the bulk of my photos, presumably because iPhoto has packaged them into a photo library. So, in order to print a photo from Easy Photo Print, do I have to export it from iPhoto first? Is there some more elegant way? I tried printing from iPhoto itself, it was so-so, some photo sizes got messed up, especially in cropped photos.
I'm looking for an easy program for my sister to make flyers on. She has a MacBook Pro, I put photoshop on it for her but it was way too complex for her to be able to use it efficiently. Can anyone give any recommendations on a good easy to use program to make flyers in.
I am searching for template(s) for Mac Office Excel or Word for invoice(s)? Are templates available for iWork - Numbers that are easy and functional? I send some electronically and receivers do not have Apple. Can Numbers templates be viewed by them?
I am looking for a webpage maker software like iweb but could not find a suitable one, I have tried several templete based software such as rapidweaver and sandvox but i found them too limited to make a custom work.
Dreamerweaver is too complex, I do not have time to all those staff, iweb is ok but just not enough to make a custom work.
UltraEdit now available for the Mac, I've been a long time user of this text editor on windows for years and I've been lucky enough to do some beta testing with the product. I'm not connected with the author in any way but if someone needs/wants a new text editor, I highly recommend it.
I've heard SWiSH Max2 is the best but looking into it, the program appears to only have a Windows version. Am I stuck with the (from what I've heard) inferior, and far more expensive Adobe Flash editor?Any other recommendations? I don't mind paying, but Adobe's own software is pretty steep and I heard it isn't the best. But if it's the best on OS X
Does anybody have any knowledge as to what would be the best free photo editor? I am looking to start such a hobby, but would like to get a feel for it before my purchase of Aperture, as I don't want to regret my purchase.
I just got a Mac about a week ago, I absolutely love it! I've been looking around on Google and no luck so I thought the best place to ask would be here. I'm in need of a syntax highlighting text editor (something like VIm, I use it for my college webserver but my website server doesn't have it). I'd prefer something free (not trials either). I have Dreamweaver, but it's on my PC. I just want something simple to work on my site when I'm not home.
I'm use to using Microsoft Frontpage to edit my website templates that use .html/.php, but now I use my iMac more than a PC and was wondering what is a great application that allows you to preview your changes before having to upload it to the server. Similar to Microsoft Frontpage?
I am a Video editor and already have the FCP suite and CS5 master suite. Is there anything else I would need? If not ...What would be the Top 10 must have apps for a Mac Book Pro i7?
Can anyone recommend a good, free code/text editor for OSX? I am used to using either EditPlus or notepad++ on Windows, but i'm aware that neither of these programs have OSX equivalents.
