App Store :: "waiting" Underneath New Apps On IPhone?
Feb 28, 2012
I recently downloaded 8 new apps to my iPhone. However, they come up on the screen darkened, with the word "waiting" underneath. When I tap the icon, nothing happens.

I recently switched my iPhone account to a new computer, and I can't figure out how to make my computer recognize my apps on my phone. I have a new email that i use for my iTunes stuff and it works, but on my phone it doesn't recognize the new email and it shows the old email and asks for the password, but even my old password doesn't work. I'm so frustrated How can I make my phone change the old email to the new one? The only problem is for the App Store.

I'm using iTune 11.3.1 (on iMac, OSX 10.9.4) and iPhone4 (iOS 7.1.2).
iTune is able to detect my iPhone when I connect it via USB connector (as there is an "iPhone button" next to "iTune Store" button on the upper righthand corner, but the progress ball keeps on spinning forever. This also happens when iTune detects iPhone via wifi.

My iphone (4) does not synch with itunes (10.6 (7), although it is recognized and displayed. when I activate the "sync"-command, itunes says "waiting for iphone to synchronize until it times out. After resetting the phone, which worked, I used the last backup (which worked), but all my 3rd-party apps are now gone. Disabling all media-sync did not work. It is to say that I have 2 apple-accounts, an old one, with which I made all media- and app-purchases, and a newer me.com account, which I use to sync my data (mail, address-book, ical) through icloud. I suspect this dual apple-ID-thing to be the problem, is that so? As far as I know, there is no possibility to update an app from the old registration-ID to the newer one?

When you sync your iPhone you sometimes get the following message:
Itunes has found purchased items on the iphone thats arenot present in your itunes library.
There are two reasons for this:
1. I have deleted apps in iTunes that I don't want, but not on the iPhone. I don't want to transfer the apps back to iTunes because I want them gone.
2. I have bought apps on the iPhone that I do want to keep. I want these transferred to iTunes.
So if I have both types 1 and 2 then there is no good answer. Preferably iTunes should offer to sync and choose which apps to transfer and what not to transfer. Is there a way to change this behaviour? By the time I sync I don't know what I've done so I'm usually not sure how to answer the question. Sometimes I like to bulk delete apps in iTunes--it is easier than doing it on the iPhone.

Under purchases I'm getting "you have not purchased any apps." Under Itunes in the Cloud all my apps are listed as hidden but when I click "view hidden purchases" it says I do not have any hidden purchases. I have three Macs and all are experiencing the same issue so this is an account problem and not a computer software problem. The funny thing is that it's still recognizing updates.Yes, I've tried signing out and back in to view my account with no luck. The only thing I did weird last night was I disabled the Itunes store and automatic downloading on one computer. This morning when I had the above problem I put all the settings back.

I tried to download an app from the app store for the first time yesterday - Keynote - onto my MacBook Pro. I don't know the system details? The first time i tried, it said 'installing' for a long time, until I accidentally deleted it from the dock at the bottom of the desktop when trying to look for details. I went back to the app store and tried to install it again, and it has now said "waiting" for the past 24 hours, and the bar under the icon hasn't moved. I am connected to decent speed internet at a University, so don't think that is likely to be the problem.

Receiving individual Final Cut X redemption codes for our fleet of MAC Minis begs the question; "How do we deploy this software". There must be a better(easier faster way) than to download, install and configure each machine separately. (This will take weeks). This software cannot, it seems, be deployed by Apple Remote Desktop. Is there anyway of downloading FC X to one MAC and cloning the image to the rest of the fleet?

I noticed that my IP address is different on my devices, and I'm unable to use some apps on my iPhone, such as Apple Remote for iTunes and Airmouse, and AirVideo. It seems the last digit in my IP address is different, here's the example: 192.168.1.X, where X is different on my Macbook, iPhone, and Airport Extreme.

I know that the only true iphone simulator for mac is the one in the sdk and I have a few questions about it.
1)Do all iPhone apps work on it?
2)I don't want to become a developer, yet I really want the iPhone simulator. Is there any way i can get it without becoming a developer?

I am thinking of changing my phone plan because the data plan is just too expensive even though some of the apps that use the net are fun.
There are some apps that are obvious that do (email or safari) and others that don't (calculator) but there are others that are hard to tell. I would still have wi-fi but I want to make sure there is a 100% way to tell if an app uses the internet so that I don't get charged when not in a wi-fi area.
What do I look for?

I think I used to be able to plug my iPhone into my iMac and, via iTunes, be able to click on the icon for my phone, then choose Apps across the top and when the screen opened showing my apps on the various desktops I had built, I could click on the apps and move them from one desktop to the other, and rearrange their order. Now, in iTunes 11.3.1, when I click on the app and try and drag it, the whole desktop moves. It is easier to rearrange them via iTunes on the iMac vs doing it on the iPhone as you can make the app icons bigger, which makes it easier to see them.
