Apr 7, 2012I've just upgraded to Lion and am having trouble downloading some apps (some work just fine). I originally thought it was my internet connection, but it seems stable. Also, my mac meets all of the applications requirements.The first app i'm having trouble with has been paid for, but as soon as I hit 'install', it shows up in the Launchpad for a few seconds, and the status bar doesn't progress. I then get the following error in my App store: The application could not be downloaded.The installation could not be started.I've installed all updates, restarted my machine a few times, also signed out and back in to App store. Still no luck.

May 30, 2012Under purchases I'm getting "you have not purchased any apps." Under Itunes in the Cloud all my apps are listed as hidden but when I click "view hidden purchases" it says I do not have any hidden purchases. I have three Macs and all are experiencing the same issue so this is an account problem and not a computer software problem. The funny thing is that it's still recognizing updates.Yes, I've tried signing out and back in to view my account with no luck. The only thing I did weird last night was I disabled the Itunes store and automatic downloading on one computer. This morning when I had the above problem I put all the settings back.

OS X :: Won't Find Apps Folder / Can't Find Picture Of Apps Folder On Desktop
Feb 11, 2010I accidentally dropped my "Applications Folder" off my Dock when I first got my Mac and it disappeared. When I put it back by dragging the applications folder onto the Dock, instead of assuming the Applications Folder logo, it took on the logo of the first application in my Applications Folder: the Address book. Now, my desktop permanantly has the picture of the Address Book instead of the picture of the Applications Folder.
How do I fix this? ive followed other thread advice with no luck. Is there a way to re-set the Dock? Where does the logo live and how do I get it back there?

May 1, 2012Receiving individual Final Cut X redemption codes for our fleet of MAC Minis begs the question; "How do we deploy this software". There must be a better(easier faster way) than to download, install and configure each machine separately. (This will take weeks). This software cannot, it seems, be deployed by Apple Remote Desktop. Is there anyway of downloading FC X to one MAC and cloning the image to the rest of the fleet?

But web developers have become wily it seems. No longer do the old methods appear to work. I've tried: Apps for downloading youtube videos, using the Activity window in Safari (only a small SWF file of about 21kb appears in the activity window), numerous Firefox plugins� To no avail.
There are apparently apps for Windows that can manage to download these tricky types of videos, is there anything or any method on the Mac? I've been ripping my hair out trying. I've searched the forum, but none of the suggested methods work.

Click Change Store to view this article". If I click to change the Store from the Spanish to the American store, I have to fill the data but my ID apple is not working on the "foreign" store. What can I do? Is there a way to buy / download items from a different Itunes stores?
