App Store :: Personal Apple ID's In The Enterprise?
May 16, 2012
My company would like to purchase Final Cut Pro. From what I have read, the company can get an Enterprise AppleID. However, even with an Enterprise ID it appears that we only get a code. Then the user has to use their own AppleID to redeem the code and install it on their work Mac. My question is once they leave the company how do we make sure they can't download the same app at home and how do we set it up so the next employee can download the same app without us paying again for the software? Our policy is to wipe machines when an employee leaves and set everything up from scratch which would wipe out the Final Cut app.
I have been getting some conflicting information on the number of devices I can use in my classroom with my personal account. I was under the impression that five devices was the magic number but I recently have been told that it is only one per account if the device is being used in a public setting.
I reside in Spain and I've recently opened a joint account with a US resident here in Los Angeles at Charles Schwab bank. The financial consultant told us it's possible to deposit checks into schwab account through an app for iphone [URL]I've tried to download but it appears the following window: "your application has not been able to complete" and "The article you requested is not available at this time in Spanish Store, but is available in the U.S. Store. Click Change Store to view this article". If I click to change the Store from the Spanish to the American store, I have to fill the data but my ID apple is not working on the "foreign" store. What can I do? Is there a way to buy / download items from a different Itunes stores?
All of a sudden a notification badge has appeared on the Apple Store icon on my MacBook Pro dock. While it seems there is an update for an app that I once downloaded, there is no indication as to how I can download the update.
I just bought a new 1 TB WD RE4 Sata 3 Enterprise boot drive in anticipation of a new MacPro release... well I going to have to wait... but I will just use in in my current 2007 MacPro to run Lion and I want to do a clean install. It was bought as a bare drive wirh no jumper set... but intrigingly it says in it the following: Jumpered Pins 1 & 2 enables SSC (Spread Spectrum Clocking)What is this, should I or do I need to use this? Jumpered pins 3 & 4 enables PUIS ( Power Up In Standby)What is this and should I or do I need to use this?
I am just used to jumpering for master or slave but there is no mention of it on the drive so if I don't of shouldn't use any of the above jumper settings do I need to jumper for Master and slave anymore or is it unnecessary with these new generation of HDs? My machine is a 2.66GH Dual core Xeon and I am running PS CS 6 and LR4

I just bought a $10 iTunes card and I want to by iMovie from the Mac App Store. (which brings my balance to $16.48) My problem is whenever I try to buy this product I'm sent to the billing page. I don't have a credit card so I select "none" and try to purchase iMovie again. But it just sends me back to the billing page. I don't want to buy another card in order to redeem something on the billing page so what do I do?

i just wanted to simply get the updated free Facebook App on my ipod, i dont have a credit card so it wont let me review my apple ID...is there anything else i can do?
How do I get Apple to return the paid version of a certain app back to the App store? The free limited version is still available but the paid version with more features has been removed. I know people who want to get this app and cannot. It is Word Play Online and has a very loyal following with over 50,000 names playing and yet is gone from the App Store. How can I find out where it went?
I installed Vista Ultimate on my Rev B. MBA last night and nearly everything has been fine.
However, some of the Microsoft updates continually fail, primarily the Office 07 SP2 update, which I really would like.
Also, the keyboard backlighting worked fine initially, and could be controlled with the function keys, but since installing 79 updates overnight to bring the OS up to speed, my keyboard backlighting no longer works in Vista, but everything else controlled by the fn keys work as they should. When I press the keyboard backlighting fn keys, it just comes up dimmed out and with a circle with a line through it indicating that I can't use it.
I saw that MYOB 2010 Mac has a Xserve app out now. I tried MYOB trial 2010, but didn't like it. It doesn't auto grab your bank statements or have some other key features I want. I really wish there would be a enterprise version for Xserve also with contractor attachments. Anyone use QB mac 2010 on their Xserve with a hack?
When I switched to ICloud I thought my Apple ID and password would work for Apple store. It turns out they have a different Apple ID at the Apple store with a diferent password that I do not remember. HOw can I make the ICloud Apple ID and password work for all other platforms?

I have a few issues with device support I thought I ping this community about:
1) Wireless Adapater doesn't show up in Device Manager (and doesn't work of course) 2) iSight, Network Controller and Performance counters all have (i) issues in Device Manager (update driver online doesn't work) 3) Resolution maxes out at 1280x800 (me thinks this is because it thinks the monitor is a generic PnP monitor)
Any ideas on where to get the proper drivers? I did the bootcamp stuff using the latest and greatest with the new MacOS.
Whenever trying to connect to a WPA2 Enterprise WiFi network, I only get an IP address when it is the first time. (Authentication in itself works fine, it is getting an IP address that is the problem.) What I mean is the following:
1. I start up the computer
2. I connect to the network just fine
3. Suppose now I turn Airport off
4. Then I turn Airport on again
5. Now it doesn't work anymore! I still get authenticated (PEAP) fine, but I now get a "self-assigned IP address" and can no longer connect to the Internet.
6. When I restart, the same happens, i.e., "go back to step 1"
It seems as if the computer keeps a wrong cache of something, which is only cleared after restart?
It is not a big deal, would have been worse if I couldn't connect at all, but still quite annoying that I have to restart every time.
I am suddenly unable to download or update any apps from my ipad2 because it is attempting to use an old apple id even though I have changed it in every setting that I can find on the iPad... I'm baffled, has anybody seen this before?
My apple id is correct in my account and iCloud, but it does not work in the app store. In other words,I am able to access my apple id account and manage it; but not buy or update apps in my iPhone. This whole mess started when I updated to IOS5.
I just cant get numbers form app store. Every time I want to get it, it shows "There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later. (100)". And no matter how i try, it is just not downloading...
I am a MOBILE ME user for about 5 years. I just bought an IPHONE 3GS. I create an ICLOUD account with a certain APPLE ID on the IPHONE. When I try to download any APP from the Appstore, another apple id it is being ask. I restore 3 time to the original factory settings, but the problem pesists.
I was hacked like 6 days ago and 61$ were stolen from my account. Did apple help? NO. Did paypal help? NOT YET. And now, I haven't been able to do **** with my phone since it has been disable for the last 5 days. So how am I getting it back?
I bought this iMac which was purchased new Nov 24th 2011 and I bought it from a friend in January 2012 as well as purchased the applecare. When I did a clean install it removed the iLife bundle and when I try to reinstall it the app store tells me this: These apps cannot be accepted by your Apple ID.These apps were already assigned to another Apple ID, and they will be available in that Apple ID's Purchases list. If you don't have access to that Apple ID and want to receive future updates, you will need to purchase the applications.I would not have done the clean install if I knew that it would take away some of the features but when the Apple employee told me how to do it he didnt tell me that some items would not reinstall without the original Apple ID (not that I blame him).Is there any way that I can get them back on my computer without having to purchase them. I think that since they came with the computer originally that it should be possible.
Today, when I tried to download a free app, I was asked for my password twice. That has never happened before. Why would this occur and is it safe to continue?
I have a new MacBook Air (one week old). I have set it up with all of the expected access to iCloud, iTunes, etc. Just now I went to the App Store to buy a $15 app. When I clicked the buy button, I was asked to enter my Apple ID and password. I did. Then I was asked again. I did. Then I was told I had to enter my 3-digit credit card code. I did. Then I was asked to enter my Apple ID and password. I did. I got my software. I also got an email from Apple saying that I just updated my shipping and billing address, something I didn't do.
