Recently, iTunes has started to become completely unresponsive while it downloads things such as music, podcasts, etc. It doesn't freeze. the downloads still download, and then iTunes becomes responsive again once the downloads have finished. Not the end of the world, but I do subscribe to a lot of podcasts, so having iTunes constantly become unresponsive on me is a huge pain in the neck. Possibly relevant?: My iTunes library is on an external RAID array. But I don't think it's a problem with the array, since everything else I use it for seems to be working just fine. And I don't see why downloading data to the array should cause iTunes to lock up, in any case.

last week I have begun getting problems whenever I attempt to add folders of music to my iTunes library. Until now, I have been able to add large folders of music to iTunes, no problem. Now it seems that no matter what the size of the folder, it goes to the rainbow color wheel as if it is loading, and ultimately freezes without adding anything to iTunes. Â
I have made sure I have the most recently updated version of iTunes, and that there are no random files within the folder (i.e. .dat's or .m3u's, etc.), just mp3's. But it still continues to freeze and become unresponsive every time.Â

I just did a clean install on my Mac mini to clean out old unwanted files. When I got to the point of redownloading all my iTunes purchases I checked to see if everything was downloaded and it keeps showing that 1 movie and 1 tv show need downloading yet they already are downloaded both SD and HD. Why do these videos not go away under the Not on my Computer tab once downloaded?
I have been trying to redownload some past TV shows that I purchased over the years but I cannot seem to do it. When I look at my purchases only shows from this year show up. How do I access my whole collection?
I noticed there was an issue with the last update (11.2.1) where podcasts were unexpectedly downloading. The new update (11.2.2) states that it "fixes a problem where certain podcast episodes may download unexpectedly after upgrading". However since installing the new update it has not seemed to have solved the problem. As soon as Itunes opened up again once the update was complete about 7 podcasts were downloading???

I was at work today and purchased an HD TV Show on my computer. The episode downloaded I watched it then I deleted it. The space is very limited on the work computers otherwise I would have kept it on there. I go home and tell iTunes to get my newest downloads, and it only downloads the Standard Definition version of the show I purchased.
when downloading a podcast from within iTunes, I don't get the cover art in iTunes (when viewing in Cover Flow, for example). When I download on my iPad and iPhone, the cover comes up fine.
This is happening on both of my system, Mac Pro and MacBook Pro both early 2008.

Since install of Lion a few weeks ago I have persistent problems scanning. I have an HP Photosmart C3110 and use Preview to Scan. After years of downloading single songs from iTunes, today I downloading an entire album. I thought that a Playlist would be created for this album, but itwasn't. So I manually created a playlist with the album name and then added all the songs. Is this the correct way? Or did I do something wrong? Is there a way to download an entire album into a playlist of the same name?
digital copies have an expiration date (most of them anyway) & I really don't have much space on my computer to fit all the movies (I think I'm literally down to 3GB). So am I able to download the digital copy to my Mac, delete it from iTunes & the computer to free up the space & then re-download at a later date as long as I'm using the same iTunes login? Also, would this work if I got a new Mac & tried to re-download to that?
How can I stop iTunes from downloading tv shows to my mac? I already watched them on iPad but it still wants to download to laptop and I don't want them on my laptop
With our Apple TV device we purchased a season of the Big Bang, why iTunes insist on downloading every new episode to my MacBookAir while all we want to do is watch it with Apple TV directly from iTunes?Â

When I subscribe to an iTunes U course on my MacBook pro using iTunes (10.6.1) the subscription works and I am able to see all segments of the course. iTunes tries to download the content but nothing happens. To free up space on my Mac os x Leopard I want to download my iTunes albums to a flash drive.and then delete them from my computer. How do I do this without losing the albums? I'm not quite sure how to copy then download.
A few days ago iTunes started to crash when updating some apps. I have about 25-30 apps to be updated. When I click update all, it started to downloadin
apps but when it came to a certain app, it crashed. It starts to download the app, continue downloading for a few seconds, than freezes and crashes. This happens in more than 5 apps. Other apps in my library downloaded without any problem.
I tried almost everything, deleted the iTunes folder completely, tried to download the same app, and it crashed again.
Finally I formatted the iMac, installed a fresh Mavericks, immediately opened iTunes tried to download the same apps, they all crashed. Could the files on the Apple's servers be corrupted?Â
Here is the first few line of the crash report:Â
