I have all these albums and songs on my phone and I don't know where they came from. I haven't downloaded them, they aren't in my library and I haven't synced with another computer. I have done a sync over and over anot nothing. I have even done a synch and took all the music off. I think it is 'other' stuff but don't know how to get it off of there.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have few questions with regards to the above. First here's the facts: I have existing .mac account, but never use it for Mail. Only for iTunes & everything else related to my Mac including this communityI've tried using MobileMe for a trial period and never subscribed to it after it was over. Therefore I also have a .me account under my (chosen) usernameI am currently using MacBook Pro running Lion 10.7.3 I do sync my Mac with iPhone (or vice versa) via iCloud for many apps except Mail Now, I'm trying to enable Mail & Notes from my iCloud setting on my Mac. But it's asking me to create an email address (username@me.com). I tried keying in my existing .me account but obviously that won't work. How do I do this using my existing .me account or better if I can use my .mac account. Personally I prefer my .mac account of course

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to understand how itunes imports files and where it puts them. Does itunes duplicate existing files when your first install it?
In other words if I have some songs and videos in my computer and I install itunes, I know it will search for files during the installation and add them to the itunes library so, here is where my question comes, does itunes copies the files it finds to the itunes library and leave the exiting files in its original location or it moves them to a new location?
I'm just trying to understand how itunes imports and stores files and where it puts them.
I have a Mac Mini connected to a Lacie external HD that houses all of my iTunes library. I've just bought a new iMac to replace the Mini and want to keep the iTunes library on the external, just point the new machine's iTunes to the existing library on the external.
How best to do that? I don't want to restore from TM because I want to start fresh from this Mac and there really isn't a lot to keep other than the iTunes (most of it is on the external). If I point to an existing location, I don't need to Consolidate, do I? Any risk of losing the library? Do I need to unlink the library on the existing Mac?
Hey IPhoto will not display my photos aand will not let me rebuild them from any existing library or back up file?
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo about a week ago I got a new Macbook Pro with retina. I set everything up on it including Itunes. When I was setting up my itunes i signed into my account then took my iphone and synced my iphone to the itunes on the new computer. Everything was showing up on the computer so I though everything had sunk and was backuped. But when I was going through it today I noticed a few of my artist are missing some songs. I tried backing up and syncing the phone to computer again but NOTHING IS WORKING.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI copied my cousin's itunes music folder onto my external hard drive so I could add it to my own.
I dragged the artists into my iTunes music folder.
I was asked whether I wanted to replace existing folders... e.g we both had "Arctic Monkeys" folders.
I CLICKED REPACE ALL... What a mistake.
I'm very much into music and I have lots of songs, whereas my cousin only had a small library.
Now, my "Arctic Monkeys" folder only has a few songs in that she had, and i've lost loads from my library from many artists that both of us had.
My old computer died and my most recent iPod stolen. I have a new computer and a new iPod but iTunes won't let me authorize the new computer to access my previous library. How to authorize a new computer when old computer died? The iTunes I have downloaded does not give me a deauthorize previous computers option nor does it give me an option to authorize the new computer. I would very much like to access my previous iTunes library.

When I log in and try to manage my exisiting playlist, I click on add songs.
THe search window opens and I enter a song. The choices which then appear do not have "add song" buttons next to them. Instead, they have purchase options buttons.Â

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy AppleTV keeps showing old podcasts which don't exist anymore in my iTunes library. Of course I can't play them because the file has since long been deleted. I don't see them anywhere in iTunes, so I can't delete them from my library.Â
I found the reason for this behaviour: those old podcasts are still present in my iTunes library xml file. I deleted this file and restarted iTunes. iTunes will create a brand new xml file from the original .itl file. However, the old non-existent podcasts are still present in the new xml file. So the error must be present in my .itl file.Â

Is this a deeply-buried function, or does it not exist as an option in the latest version of iTunes? Or am I missing something obvious and easy?

View 6 Replies View RelatedOkay here's the thing: I (not so long ago) copied my entire itunes library to my external hard drive. Now I have updated my itunes library on my powerbook, and want to make sure that I back up the new songs/albums I have. The problem with this is that I have always found that when I drag the itunes folder from my powerbook to the itunes folder on my external drive, it asks to 'replace the itunes music folder'. I don't want this as there are some albums that I have stored in my folder but not on my itunes library and still want to keep them stored.
Is there any way that I could just keep adding to the 'existing' itunes folder on my external drive?

View 1 Replies View RelatedThe AppleID of all my accounts (iTunes, ADC, Apple Dev Center, apple store) is my mobileme email (username@mac.com)
I would like to change this (using some other appleid to separate these accounts from mobileme) so that I don't need to renew my mobileme subscription. From Apple websites, I cannot do this, AppleID cannot be changed if it is a mobileme id.
How can I do? What will happend if my mobileme subscription finished? All accounts will be finished or what else?
