I've posted my front page to my .me account then forwarded the address to my .ca host, nothing new really but when I go to my .ca the front page image is missing. .me url [URL] ca url (missing image)[URL]
I have just bought a personal domain through godaddy - [URL]- to use with my almost complete mobileme site. With Safari everything seems to be fine - type in the domain with or without the 'www' and you arrive at the right place. But with every other browser I've tried (Chrome, Firefox, Flock and Camino) only [URL] version works. Enter the url without the www and you end up at [URL] could someone let me know what I've done wrong? I've tried clearing the cache in all the browsers but that's had no effect.
Suffering similar problems to many I Web users, I have read the posts, but haven't managed to solve the problem for my own I Web website. Usual thing when publishing to a private domain the site is not appearing when using the domain in a browser, although the [URL] username site is updating fine. I changed the CNAME as advised[URL] Additionally I have changed the web forwarding to [URL] And no joy. Should I be taking both the above steps or is one sufficient?
I have forwarded a domain to a non-MobileMe website in the past using my GoDaddy domain, but I'm having problems forwarding that same domain now to my new website I published on MobileMe via iWeb '09. My previous site I successfully was able to forward in the past was made on freewebs.com.On my MobileMe account I put the name of the domain I wanted transferred and clicked "done".On my GoDaddy account I put "web.me.com" under one of the CNAMES as instructed by Apple's website, but still isn't working.
My personal domain is [URL]- it was bought through Easily [URL] and is still managed by them. I transferred the hosting to MobileMe, however, by creating the relevant CNAME entry, so in my DNS management area for this domain over at Easily the entries look as follows [URL] There are two name servers set up : [URL] The personal domain is set up in MobileMe fine, and I can create sites in iWeb and upload them with no issues. My second domain is [URL] which I bought through Easily, and which is simply set to use framed web forwarding to redirect to [URL] - that's one of the sites that I've created in iWeb and is hosted by MobileMe. When I visit [URL]I get no issues whatsoever - the masked forwarding works fine, so the address bar always reads [URL] no matter which page I'm on. However I've been told by a couple of people that they don't get transferred to it - instead they get not a MobileMe error page, but an Easily error page. it's as though the web forwarding works for some visitors but not for others, but I'm not sure why. Anyone got any thoughts? Is it happening for anyone else?
My problem is that iWeb doesn't publish my site the way it is shown in iWeb. I made some modifications to my site in iWeb (put some picture frames on my site, lines) but when I publish to a folder and then to a different domain, my site won't look nothing at all with the one I have created in iWeb. I checked my site with Firefox and Safari and the lines or the picture frames disappeared or don't appear as they should.
Iwe know that Apple is building a huge server farm that almost certainely is pertaining to MobileMe or its sucessor. We also know that that iWeb is rather tied to the web and MobileMe (off course I know that you can use iWeb without MobileMe). And the MacApp Store is coming in less t han 90 days I think that the iLife suite is being deprecated and the four apps are going to be sold individually in the MacApp Store. Thereby they can have individual releases.
I opened iWeb 3 just now, to find that Apple has removed the option to publish to a folder. So luckily I have MobileMe account and can publish to there and copy the files from iDisk to other web host, but others may not be so lucky.
I accidentally double-clicked on a file named "Domain" which was really a backup file of my Site. My problem is that I had backed up my site a long time ago, after which i have made many changes. Now when I open iWeb it takes me back to the original days of the site. I still have the desired folder in "Sites", but can seem to get in onto iWeb. Is there any way to put my latest site back onto iweb?
I haven't setup time machine, I publish using Easy iWeb Publisher, I don't have have a Mobileme account
My old MB got attacked by some tea and died. So now i have a new unibody although the main thing that i have lost from my old MB is my iWeb pages.
I have mobile me, and have the site published to that. How can i download the site to my MB in iWeb format? Iv tried downloading them as HTML but iWeb can't open them.
I want to change my user profile picture to a custom picture on my hard disk - but can't seem to figure out how. It only gives me the option to choose from the default pictures ...
Info: MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mavericks (10.9.4)
Here's my situation:I created a site using iWeb '08. Many months passed and I wasn't doing anything with that particular site any longer, so I nuked the pages within iWeb and have since worked on new projects. Now I need to do some work on that old site again.I have all of the created content in a folder that had been stored on my server, but I have nary a clue how to get it all back into iWeb again.
I've created a site with a theme in iWeb 08 that has been removed from iWeb 09. I've put a lot of work into customizing the theme, and iLife 09 is currently being shipped to me. In iWeb 09, can I still maintain and build on this site even though the theme is not included anymore? And, if not, is there a way that I can find the theme data in Finder and copy and paste that into the theme data files in iWeb 09?
As stated in title, the desktop picture will randomly revert to a picture I had up there months ago, usually when I run the battery all the way down on my unibody MB, but also when I change display settings when i plug into an external monitor.
Do I just need just reset the PRAM or is there something else I'm missing.
BTW, I have searched and I know I only have a few posts...
i was wondering if Imovie HD has any tools to let me put one video inside of another. i'm trying to record guitar and i want to show the video for two parts at the same time?
ok, so i have a bt homehub, and i want to download things on transmission, but recently it has slowed to a crawling pace, despite having many seeders.
So, i heard that to speed it up you can forward ports, and whereas i am a good gamer, i have no practical skills with computers besides a few mainly showy bits of knowledge.
I want to port forward for Azureus so I can get some faster download speeds. I'm kind of new to this and I want to know if thats actually going to help me get faster speeds (or if only the number of seeders matters), and if it might screw up my internet connection in some unforseen way. I'd also like to know if anyone knows of any good sites that will run you through the process for macs, I went to [URL] but it was all for PCs. I have OS X 10.6 and Aiport Extreme
I've been trying to use DynDNS with my Belkin router to forward ports for VNC and FTP, and I've gotten as far as having one port probe website show ports 21 and 5900 as "open." I can also connect to the DynDNS address and configure my router, which I guess is expected. For port forwarding, I've told ports 5900-5900 from outside to go to ports 5900-5900 on my computer, whose local IP is static at 192.168.2.4. Same for port 21.
However, typing in vnc://<my host> or ftp://<my host> doesn't work. If I try to use cyberduck, it says "connection refused," as opposed to connection failed if the address doesn't exist, so I know there's something up, but I don't know why it's not working. And I don't think it's the way the VNC or FTP servers themselves are set up; that's pretty simple.
I'm trying to forward a pdf attachment that I received to someone else via Mail. No matter what I do, it won't leave town. The error I get is can't send with server. All other Mail goes with NP. I can send my own pdfs, NP. I tried changes perms on the doc. NC. I assume that this has something to do with the original docs metadata.
I searched MRoogle and Google so I apologize if this question has already been posted. If it has can someone please redirect me to the answer?
Situation: From school (obviously an external network) i'd like to be able to use ard 3.3.2 to manage both my imac and my server, currently i have my port mapping set to forward to my imac for ard.
Problem: I'd like to be able to manage them both (through ard, for many reasons): i have not seen any possible way to change the ports that ard listens on my server (running 10.5 server). It's obvious you can pick the ports when you add the computer but not the ports that it listens on.
Possible solutions:?? I understand ssh tunneling allows you to connect to another computer but do not completely understand how this works... would this allow me to tell the router one port and the computer another?
I am using mocha VNC on my ipad and iphone to remote manage back to my macs at home. I set up port 5900 to forward to my iMac (10.0.1.5) and it is working fine. I also wanted to be able to remote manage my mac mini (10.0.1.8) as well but I have been unable to connect to it. I have tried forwarding 5901 and various other ports to it but have been unable to connect via VNC. I have all of the remote management settings identical to those on my iMac. I am not sure if this is an issue that remote management in OS X only listens to port 5900? Do I need to change a setting on the mac Mini so that it listens to 5901?
I am creating my website. I purchased a domain name from godaddy. Then I set up a MobileMe account to host using iWeb. But I am having trouble forwarding my domain name to my MobileMe account. Also from my MobileMe account the test connection failed when I try to publish it to my domain name.
Over the last few days I've noticed a problem with missing icons. It seems to mainly effect icons in the Trash but I have one or two missing icons for videos and apps within the Finder and on the Desktop. The icon is completely gone - I have to click on the filename to select it. Quicklook works OK (for video).
I can't think of anything I've installed that would have done it except Onyx, but I haven't run that in weeks. I did repair permissions a few days ago but I doubt that could break this. It persists after a reboot. I can't get it to happen on command, it just randomly occurs. Creating a New Folder always works OK.
