I have Genius playlists on my ipad2 that I do not want. I would like to get rid of all Genius suggestions and have viewed many suggestions; one being to go to the store tab and click turn off genius. This option is not available it only gives the option 'Update Genius'. I recently joined itunes Match and this seems to automatically think that you want to have Genius

I listen to iiTunes a lot while surfing the web. It's very annoying when I come across a website which has it's own music and it suddenly overlaps the music I'm playing on iTunes. Is there anyway to turn off the sound from all other applications while using iTunes?

Every time i turn on itunes it asks for my internet username and password. If I cancel the request it pops up again after a few seconds and will continue to pop up, even if I put my name and password in.

I got a new Imac last week and updated to Mavericks 10.9.3 and updated iTunes 11.2.2. When I select all podcasts to increase the volume it takes a really long time and crashes saying there isn't enough memory. Is there any way to fix this?
Also, if I try to go into Command + R the repair mode it looks like it changed to a reinstallation mode which is what I don't want. Is there another way to run disk permissions or disk repair in Mavericks?

I think iTunes mail is the worst. When you hover the mouse over a picture in a mail message, a box pops up with "[URL]". This blocks out the content below this window. Is there a way to turn this off.

There are several improvements to iTunes that would make it more usable on laptops (i.e. recover useful screen real estate.)
1) allow me to turn off the giant rotating billboard ads when accessing the iTunes store.
2) allow me to size or get rid of icons in the sidebar. 2b) allow me to make the sidebar much narrower than the current limits.
3) reduce or allow me to reduce line spacing in sidebar and all windows (i.e. I want to see more playlists (in sidebar) and more songs (in main window) without scrolling).
Just now switching to iTunes 11. I have to say the UI is a step backwards. I notice there are folks online that offer iTunes skins (AKA themes[sic]). I cannot find any info on how to create those on a Mac.
How do i turn this feature off?

I want to keep this bookmarks separate but every time it still wants to sync the Safari data on the iPod to the Safari data on the Mac.

Had (used) iBook G4 several months now & thoroughly enjoy it, even tho' I live in the sticks where there's no hi-speed/wireless available; I connect to internet & power, which is fine.
This weekend I went to turn off my iBook & it wouldn't turn off. It's now permanently on, with opening info barely visible (like I need to click on F2 to brighten up, except nothing happens).
Currently using my "back up" computer, my iMac Grape, which is pretty much an antique by now.
I have a problem with my 17'' MBP unibody:
1) Bluetooth is ON:
I can't turn it off. The checkbox is inactive.
But I can turn it off, if I choose "Share my internet connection for other units". (I don't know, if this is the right text in english, because my OSX is in german)
2) Now Bluetooth is OFF:
But I can't turn it on, because the checkbox "ON" is inactive.
It turns only on, if I choose "New Unit"(?). Then there is a new window, that says, that this is only possible if Bluetooth turns on. If I say OK, bluetooth turns ON.
Back to 1)
What's the problem. Why is this f* checkbox for turning bluetooth on and off inactive?
This is not a hardware problem, because I can have stable bluetooth connections.
I did a smc and am pram reset. But it doesn't help.
I was playing around with my mac g4 logic board... ( yes, i know... ) anyways, i press the power, the light turns on, and the fan spinns up then everything just turns off... http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=95035

I'm using a 4GB 2.4ghz Mac Book Pro and Leopard 10.5.8 Earlier I was using Mail to type a quite long email and I noticed it started to slow down and become unreponsive - I thought it was because I had too many other apps open, so quit them to free up memory... it didnt work so I quit the App - Now when I open it the email I was writing appears but I just get a spinning beachball if I try and do anything - I've never had any probs before with it and have used it as my mail client since I bout the machine in April 2009.
