Oct 19, 2010I am downloading some free tutorial videos from the iTunes store each of which is around 700MB. I am on slow internet connection and whenever the download fails, if I start it again it starts from 0 Bytes instead of resuming from the point it stopped. Is there a way by which I can resume the downloads using iTunes or any other application? I am using Mac OS X 10.6.4 and iTunes 10.0.1

Jun 1, 2012I purchased OSX Lion from the App store, and it started downloading fine. Then however I got a message saying that it was unable to download the app and to check my internet connection. The connection is fine. and when I go back to the app store and go to purchased apps Lion is listed with a down;oad button, however when I click download it does nothing!

Mar 18, 2012I purchased Call of Duty Modern Warfare, a large 7gig download, the download was interrupted and I had to re-boot. In the App Store under Purchases it lists the purchase but not installed. When I click install, box changes momentarily but then nothing happens. There is no option to resume, or re-download. Perhaps the download was complete before the interruption but there is no indication anywhere under launch or in Finder. What are my options? Is this common? I am already regretting buying such a large program.

Feb 5, 2012I am trying to download the Lion .dmg image using the Lion Recovery partition. My connection is flaky, and keeping a connection for the number of hours the downloader indicates is pratically impossible. Everytime If restart the download, the installer throws away what I downloaded previously. How can the downloder be made to resume a previous download? (This is a pre-installed copy of Lion, so the App Store is not an option)

But now I can't get to the download screen to resume. Where is the download screen? Apr 24, 2009I am trying to create a resume in pages '08, but the header on the resume template is way too big for my purposes. I would like to shrink it so I can fit ~ 2 more lines of text onto the first page.
I have tried
1. exporting it to word
2. clicking everywhere in on the page
3. shrinking the line spacing between subheaders and sections, but it was not enough.
4. swearing
Is it possible to make the spacing of the header smaller, or am I just sol?

But, now, if I drag another album over to copy before the previous batch of 10 has finished transferring, the 10-album transfer is canceled, and the new album starts copying in its place. Before, dragging new files over to the phone during a copy would add to a "queue" such that your current copy job was not canceled.

I know for a fact that resume used to work earlier. now, if the download is interrupted, it goes back to zero.

Windows On Mac :: Win7 Installation Interrupted - X Drive Created
Mar 26, 2010Recently, I was installing Windows 7 on my Bootcamp partition, and the installation was going fine, but I ran out of energy so the installation was interrupted. I boot my Mac OS, opened Bootcamp and erased the partition just to create it again and install Windows once again. However, when I loaded the installation from my DVD, I got an error message saying that a CD/DVD driver was missing, and it found no hard drives even after rescanning my computer. When I chose browse, I was surprised when I saw not 2, but 3 partitions, one with my MAC OS, the new Bootcamp partition, and a drive called X: that was created when the past install got interrupted.
I've tried erasing the partition in bootcamp over and over, but I can't erase it, even though Mac OS tells me my drive now consists of a single volume. Do I need to format my whole drive? Do I need to install OSX? Will I lose all my applications and data? In case you need it, here's some info:

Apr 4, 2010I was importing some photos into Aperture when my battery unexpectedly died (that's a separate issue). I started the computer (a black MacBook) up again and opened Aperture only to have it be momentarily unresponsive followed endlessly by the rainbow spinning ball. Force quitting and restarting gives more of the same.
Any ideas on how I can make Aperture usable again? It's quite important to me.
For what it's worth, I'm running Aperture 2.1.4

Jul 9, 2009. Ok so I installed Logitech Control Center so I can change the function of the buttons on my mouse. So when it was done installing it said that the computer had to restart, so I pressed ok, right when my Mac shut down, this pop said something about Boot Cache or something. The pop up only showed up for about 2 seconds and disappeared. I think Logitech Control Center reset my PRAM because I had to retype my network password and my date/time when my mac restarted. Is this normal? I deleted the Logitech Control Center icon in the System Preferences pane because it may be interfering with my Mac. Is there anything wrong with my Mac or is there nothing I should be worried about?
