Feb 20, 2012Some songs which I recorded from cds and downloaded at 256 from iTunes Match are not playing all the way through.
I've tried deleting and redowning but the problem is still the same. I have checked the Get Info / Options - stop times and they are Ok.
In most cases I still have the original CDs but I'd like to know if there is a cure or whether I have done something wrong.

Sep 10, 2014I haven't changed anything recently to my computer, I don't have any widgets or third-party programs, I don't have an Apple remote, but every ten minutes, my iTunes opens itself and begins playing music. If I have my iPod plugged in or not plugged in, it doesn't matter. If the program is already open, it will start playing randomly.

Jul 27, 2009have mac os 10.4.11. emptied trash and since then itunes not working properly. also lost some movies that had been saved in itunes. did upgrade of itunes software but no resolution.
when try to play something, get message saying that song cannot be played because original file cannot be found. however some songs do play.
when message asks if want to locate file, it cannot be found.

Sep 6, 2014iTunes was open and I was listening to my music through my headphones when it paused randomly. I unpaused it and went on my way, but a few seconds later it paused again, then unpaused. I dealt with it for a little while, then I decided to close iTunes and listen to Pandora. Now iTunes is opening and playing music by itself, no matter how many times I quit it.

Sep 5, 2008For the past few days, my i-mac (10.4.11) has been playing music randomly. I'm not sure what the cause is, but I assumed it could be limewire, so I deleted it. I'm currently using Macscan to look for spyware, but no spyware files have been detected. I know what program it plays through-- Safari. and as far as I can tell it always plays my ITunes songs.

May 18, 2009itunes has decided to go all wierd on me and started playing some of my songs but not playing others. When i try to play one that will not play i get the apple logo on the top of the screen where the amount of time your into the song is normally shown and no matter how many times i press play nothing happens.
Also the songs that won't play all are coming from the same folder and when i delete them and try to add them to the library nothing happens and they aren't added. When i try to play the songs from that folder using a program other than itunes the songs play fine.

Jun 4, 2014I just bought a new mac book air and i have a lot of music that Itunes cannot find the album art for. On my windows PC i was able to just copy and paste the art into the "get info" tab and the art will show in itunes when the song plays. When i find the art on my Mac i can copy and paste, however the art does not save to itunes.
Also, whenever i changed the artist or album artist information, the change does not save either.

Mar 27, 2012I bought a song and was billed for it on iTunes. When I tried to play it, a pop-up said, "This computer is not authorized to play....Would you like to authorize it?" I signed in, clicked the authorize button, and it says, "This computer is already authorized" and the window closed. I still can't play the song. I read online to check with the computer administrator and the file --> song info. It is registered with my email address. All other songs I have bought play with no problems. I heard also I could reinstall iTunes, so I went online and installed iTunes 10.6. It is installed but nothing is changed.

Nov 22, 2009i was playing around iTunes open and everything then suddenly no sound, it was fine before so i checked all my setting everything's fine, checked wiring and power to soundsticks all good. Reboot and the loading alert plays nice and loud as always but log in and still no sound.

Feb 4, 2009So over the past few months I have noticed this small bug/glitch in iTunes... and it is very annoying.
I cannot drag songs from playlists into different order. iTunes just doesn't let me drag at all.
I have to quit iTunes, then restart it. It will work for one time, but as soon as I got back to "Library" and then try to go back and edit a playlist, I have to exit iTunes.
Any fix for this?

Nov 22, 2010I transferred all my itunes library to an external hard drive.I had all my songs in itunes and then went to "preferences" and set itunes to look on my external hard drive for my itunes. Then I went to "library" and then "consolidate", and it moved all my library over to my external. I can verify that my songs are all there on my externalHowever, now, itunes won't play any songs of mine. I double click on the song in itunes and it just wont play. Sep 1, 2010I recently upgraded my system HDD to an SSD with a new install of OSX 10.6.4 and mimicked the settings I had on my previous set up to replicate it. however, when for example I was using iTunes to play music the screen saver would come on and a short time later the system would pause iTunes and goes into Sleep mode.
my previous install never did that so I'm not sure if its because of the SSD and it not being mechanical it doesnt recognize it accessing or seeking 'per se' because regardless of unchecking "Put hard disks to sleep when possible" it still does it. here is an image of energy saver settings; btw I had the system plugged into and still went into sleep mode when iTunes was playing and even other media formats such as Video in iTunes or VLC.

Mar 21, 2010My old 24" iMac had an ATI radeon 4850 card, and playing some of my favorite game titles (fallout 3, and Dawn of War) worked fine - atleast in comparison to my old White iMac 24".
Now I'm going to purchase a 27" i5 iMac with the Radeon 4850 card. My question is; since it�s the same GPU and playing in native resolution will be a tough job. Will the quality of playing games in 1080p be much lower?
I just want to know if this will be a significante downgrade. Or if playing games in 1920x1080 will be a good quality choice.

Jun 1, 2014I have a Macbook with about 5,000 songs on it, all of which are burned from actual hard copies of CDs that I own. Rather than re-burning each CD to my new Windows computer, I would like to see if there's a way to transfer all these songs from Mac to PC using an external hard drive.
The real question is how can I format my external hard drive to be recognized on both a Macbook running Snow Leopard and a PC running Windows 7?
