ITunes For Mac :: SD Card Playback Bonus Track
Jun 4, 2014I have converted my iTunes playlist to MP3s.I copied my playlist / songs onto my SD Card.When I put the card into my car stereo I get a 'bonus' track after every sond, which is indicated by an error code by my car stereo.
Results, I play track #1 and the song plays fine, then goes to track #2 and the error is displayed, next it progresses to track #3 and plays the next song. I have over 500 songs on my SD Card and fast forwarding on the radio can be a bother. when I copy my songs onto the SD Card so I will not have these 'bonus' tracks?

Dec 10, 2014I just purchased a new iMac with the latest iTunes (12.)Â
I'd transferred my iTunes off the old Mac Mini onto an external HD. During the setup of the new iMac, I imported to library from the external HD. Now my music list includes songs from the iMac HD AND the cloud purchases. When I play the songs, iTunes will play both those copies on the Mac as well as DOWNLOAD the song from the cloud.Â
i'm on a limited data plan & I don't want songs downloaded which already exist on my HD. Where's the "stopper" for this?Â

Sep 3, 2010just moved my whole iTunes library (21560 songs) to my 2TB Time Capsule... And well everything went great, until I updated to iTunes 10, it updated the iTunes library on open, fine, took two minutes on the ageing MBA, but now, it is Determining gapless playback for my entire library... And it's been going for about 6 hours and it's on 856/21560, so my question is... Is there anyway to stop iTunes doing this?

Jan 30, 2010Is there a way to stop iTunes from embedding artwork into every file(track), and instead store 1 copy per album?
From what I remember thats the way cover flow used to work. Why the switch to embedding artwork in every file? A extra 20+MB per album is just ridiculous(Using a 800x800 PNG).
I know its possible to store the album artwork without embedding it in the file. Because I have a few older albums that still use the old method (storing only a single copy of the artwork in /iTunes/Album Artwork/).
ITunes :: My 10.6 Crashes Repeatedly
Mar 8, 2012New version just downloaded and has crashed approx 8 to 10 times. So I reloaded the iTunes 10.6 , rebooted and experienced the same behavior. Trashed the new version, so now I have no iTunes. Don't see any opportunity to reload older version except by doing a total system reload (Snow Leopard). No, I don't have Time Machine, I had one of those crummy AirPorts with 500GB HD, but it died due to complete lack of cooling (another subject, sorry). What a totally crap design that was.

Apr 13, 2012I cannot login into the iTunes-Store or iTunes-Account on my MacBook Pro. The following problem occures:
1) I type in the correct Apple-ID and password,
2) my Apple-ID appears in the left corner in iTunes - but nevertheless:
3) iTunes repeatedly asks for my password - again and again. I am absolutely sure that I typed in the correct password, because I also use the same Apple-ID + password on my iMac and everything is fine on the iMac (but not on my MacBook Pro).Â
Additional information:My girlfriend and me use the same mac + itunes to log in with each our Apple-IDs: The same problem for her on my MacBook. I already reinstalled the newest iTunes Version from apple.comOn my iMac everything works fine (with both accounts).Â

Dec 4, 2009Cropped up in which an update will become available and I tell iTunes to update the app, it downloads it, I go back to the app page and the icon refreshes, I then see iTunes telling me that theres still an update. I clicked on the 1 update available link thing and low and behold the application I just updated is still saying theres an update and no matter how many times I click update all apps it will still say theres an update. Running windows 7 with latest iTunes and iPhone has 3.1.2 jailroken and unlocked

But lately, my Mac is crashing repeatedly when I attempt to use iTunes or iBooks, both also the latest releases. Syncing with either iTunes or iBooks is nearly impossible. No disk repair or verification errors. I am thinking that there is some rogue software glitch that has me. I am thinking that I need to do a factory reset followed by a time machine data recovery.Â

May 14, 2012After purchasing 2 albums, one song on each will repeatably download 5 times and then error with err = -100000. I have reproduced the error on 3 Macs with the same account, iPad and iPhone. Support reset the download and I removed the downloads folder, but the same thing occurs. Macs are Lion and devices are iOS 5.1.1. Music in the Cloud is enabled. All others songs on the albums downloaded fine. I regularly purchase music and have not had problems until recently. Only changes would be Apple Software updates.

Apr 21, 2012My Mac goes to sleep even when iTunes is playing. This is pretty ludicrous. Is there anyway to prevent this other than changing my power savings settings to never let my Mac go to sleep? I don't want to do that, I want my computer to go to sleep when I am not using it. This sure seems like a bug. I am running the newest version of iTunes as well as Lion.
My current energy saver settings are:
Computer Sleep: 15 min
Display Sleep: 15 min
Put hard disks to sleep when possible - yes
Wake for network access - yes
Allow power button to put the computer to sleep - yes
Start up automatically after a power failure - no
Restart automatically if the computer freezes - no
Again, I would rather not have to change these settings in order to keep iTunes playing.

Mar 5, 2012I've got mac 10.6.8 and iTunes 10. I used to be able (on previous computer) to playback music as I imported from the same cd but I have never been able to do so since I upgraded. I have tried all the settings in itunes preferences for when you import a cd but whatever option I choose I cannot play and import at the same time and I know you are meant to be able to. If I start off by playing the cd and then hitting the import cd button it immediatley stops playing. If I start by hitting the import cd button (or change the preference to import when cd is inserted) then the play button is greyed out.

May 20, 2012it basically appeared today, and I haven't changed anything, to my knowledge. Playback is choppy, with some stuttering and static noises...It does this even when playing straight to the computer speakers...I've disconnected my router to make it isn't the culprit (it slows down my internet connection quite a lot).Â

ITunes :: Volume Fluctuations (Goes Up Or Comes Down) During Playback
Jun 15, 2012More and more I have this issue both during playback on any iMac or Mac mini or even iPOD where as the volume just goes up and comes down. From blasting my ears to a whisper, and all throughout songs from ACDC, Pink Floyd, classical, Samsh Mounth, etc. Most of the songs are in MP3 from my CDs that I ripped through iTunes. I tried AAC and it does the same thing, and AAC will not playback from my Amazon music account, so AAC is a no-go.
Even so I never had issues in the past when ripping my music through other applications, just seems for the last couple of years I have had intermittent issues ripping through iTunes. Any settings or other adjustments I should or should not have made? These are huge fluctuations that vary (on a scale of 0-10) from 2 to 8. Its that bad. All Systems are 10.6 or 10.7 and intel based.

MacBook Pro :: Bad Audio From ITunes Playback
Jun 28, 2012I seem to be having problems either with hardware or iTunes. First, I notice a delayed response with iTunes when pressing play. It didn't used to take so long to start a track, or even unpause a track. This is with only one other program open, Firefox. Also, with mutiple files from different albums, there are pops, dropouts, and clicks when listening to music. It sounds like I'm moving the 1/8th jack around in the headphone output. This would lead me to believe I'm having a hardware issue. It happens with headphones or speakers.

Mar 23, 2009why are all my iTunes videos so damn choppy?! High Quality Youtube videos are "ok," but HD Youtube videos are just as bad as trying to watch anything on iTunes.
what do i need to upgrade (word choice?) to successfully watch iTunes videos crisply. i'm assuming it's like a graphics card or a processor or something. i could buy a decent computer in the next couple of months but i'm not because my parents are strongly against me upgrading anything because i'm going to college Fall 2010, so they said i'll just get a high-end something or other when the time comes. the point of what i just rambled about was is there something on my current PC that i can upgrade?

Sep 10, 2009I'm wondering if anyone else has or is having issues with video, specifically music video, playback in iTunes. I noticed it when I was trying to play a video I'd downloaded, about 3 weeks ago. I'd bought the video some time ago, already have watched it several times before, but this time it didn't play. I didn't think much of it. But all of my other music videos did the same thing. From what I can tell, it's exclusive to music vids. My tv shows play fine, the few movies I've bought, etc. But not a single music vid plays back. It's just a screenshot of the video. I made a smart playlist, of all my music vids, versus tv/movies and there are 61 music vids and not a single one plays.
This was happening prior to the iTunes 9 update, but I'm not sure when exactly, or with which update it did start happening, as i just noticed about 3 weeks ago.

Apr 1, 2010I have a Rev A MBA but for the first time I just downloaded a TV show from Itunes and tried watching it back. It was very jumpy, freezing and video and audio were sometimes out of sync. I turned off all other applications, which improved it, but did not solve it. I tried downloading a second one and had the same problem.
Is this common? I would have thought of all applications to work well, Itunes should be one of them.
