How do you easily import album artwork for multi-disc albums on iTunes? My Allman Brothers concert CD's are 3-discs each, and the cover (and back) artwork is the same for each disc, but it seems as though I have to manually add the artwork for each of the three discs.Â

I thought my album artwork was disappearing. Turns out the problem is a bit different (and weirder) than I thought it was.Â
When I look at the Album view in iTunes and see all the albums in a tile/grid layout, there are some albums that show no artwork. These just have the default gray cover with the...um...note thingy on it. But when I click on one of these album covers and see the songs, all of them *do* have artwork. When I play these songs, I also see the artwork. It's only at the album level that I don't.Â

i am really shocked with iTunes. I have just bought my mother an 160GB Classic and am starting to rip her entire music collection which is at least 100CDs.. however sometimes for albums iTunes gets mixed up with disc 1 and disc 2 and labels them wrong and sometimes does [disc 1] and (disc 2)... it should be consistent not mixing brackets... i have had to edit the tags manually..
View 24 Replies View RelatedI have iTunes 11.2.2, and I've recently made use of iTunes' "disc x of y" feature, instead of entering the disc number in the album title like I used to. I made this change because putting disc numbers in the album-title field makes the two discs appear as two separate albums, with the artwork appearing twice, which I didn't want. The downside of using the "disc x of y" feature, however, is that for double albums where the two discs have unique titles, rather than the default "disc one" and "disc two" -- say, for example, the Red Hot Chili Peppers' album Stadium Arcadium, where the discs are called "Jupiter" and "Mars" --Â there is no way to label the disks with their unique titles and still keep them within one album entry. I don't want to put these titles in as a comment or anything like that either. What I'm really wondering is whether it is possible to write a script that would allow me to change where it reads "disc 1" to a unique title, at least within the album section of iTunes.

And I know how to boot windows and everything from experience with my macbook, but my problem is basically this; When I try to install multi-disc games on the windows OS, whenever I get to the point where I am supposed to "insert disc 2" the eject button on my keyboard will not work, is there any workaround for this, I am running XP... (and leopard on my iMac).

Time machine will be a welcome native backup solution, especially since I can do it over the network automatically. However, I've read that Time Machine naturally requires HFS+ formatted disks. But I will still have my Win7 laptop for gaming purposes, and of course that requires NTFS or FAT32 for writability. My question: Can I just take a TM compatible external drive, split it into two partitions, and then specify that each computer backup onto its own partition with its own file system?

View 6 Replies View RelatedSome of my cds don't have any artwork with them (choir recordings, friends' recitals, etc) so I just want to add my own pictures or artwork in itunes. The images are all under 200x200, all jpeg (though I've tried other formats as well), and when I go into the "get info" part and add it to the artwork pane, it shows up. But when I click "ok", it doesn't show up with the rest of the albums (as Cover Flow or as Grid). I've tried "clear downloaded artwork" and then adding it, but that doesn't help either.

When I select an album in grid view and choose Get Info, the Get Info window does not show the artwork tab, like what shows when I select a single song. There is a tiny little Artwork window in the Info tab, but I want to add multiple artwork to this (dragged in from the Finder), front, back and inside album art. If I select a single song in that album and choose Get Info, then I see the artwork tab, but the artwork I drag in applies only to that song (the album art appears in the Now Playing pane only when that song is playing). I am having difficulty getting podcast artwork that appears in the podcast directory on the iTunes store to appear in iTunes after I've subscribed.For example, if I choose NBC's "Meet the Press (audio)", the directory shows a cover image for the podcast.However, when I subscribe, no cover art appears on my iTunes or my iPod Nano (latest generation).When I click on the podcat image and then select "Get Album Artwork" (either by ctrl+click on the mouse, or the "Advanced" menu), nothing happens.What might be causing this to happen, and what do I do? I noticed this about a year ago. So, there are some songs that I cannot play in iTunes, on either my laptop or home computer. However, I can play them on my iPhone 3GS and my 3rd Generation iPod after being sync'd. A friend thought that it was perhaps these songs/albums were not "official" Apple iTunes downloads or not direct downloads from CDs. This is not correct, random songs from random mp3 sources including iTunes (Apple iTunes Store), and even complete albums (from CDs) are affected. Why is this? how can I correct this?

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy iTunes 9 is making my songs not organize correctly by album. Most of the songs are grouped together in my library that are of the same album, but one album has separated songs. They are the exact same album and spelled correctly. I just bought them off iTunes and was looking for them in my library and couldn't find them when I looked at the rest of the album. I look farther down the list, and way farther down they appear. Album name is correct, but I guess iTunes just decided to not place them with the rest of the songs in the album in alphabetical order it should. My iPod touch lists the same albums multiple times when I search for albums. The album "classical" shows up almost 10 times in the list for some reason. The song list doesn't differ b/w them, and some songs are missing. All other albums are fine. What is going on here? Did my classical songs all of a sudden decide to become unique in a bad way?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI've just found out that I can not properly put my music on both iPhone 4S and iPad (iOS 5.1).
try do the following and place the result here whether you see same behavior.
Steps:
1. Enable Manual sync on you iOS device;
2. Drag and Drop any album from your library to iPhone -> songs start to transfer;
3. Now, while songs are transfering get another album and drop it to your iPhone;
4. ISSUE IS THAT: you should notice that the transfer of the first album is interrupted and the latest album is transferring ONLY;
So, at the end you have just several songs from first album and all songs from the second one. So, basically each new album you drag and drop interrupts previous transfer.

I would like to purchase music from the French i-tunes store. The music is not available in the US store. I was told I have to be a resident of France, with a French Credit Card and adderss. Seems rediculous in a world market to not allow electronic download purchases across the pond. At the very least the French artists should be listed on the us site too. I suspect the "cloud" has plenty of room.

After years of downloading single songs from iTunes, today I downloading an entire album. I thought that a Playlist would be created for this album, but itwasn't. So I manually created a playlist with the album name and then added all the songs. Is this the correct way? Or did I do something wrong? Is there a way to download an entire album into a playlist of the same name?

Having transferred my iTunes library from my old PC to my new Mac. Many of the albums will not play because they are not authorized. Authorization lists very old email addresses of which I do not have the passwords or, in fact, access to the email websites.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI ripped the "Top 10" Billboard albums from each of the last 30 years. Some of them are great while some are crap, but I am a completist so I do not want to delete them. how I can essentially hide all of these albums (or a subset of these albums) from basically all views in iTunes or alternatively to move all of them under one tag, such as "Billboard Top 10 - 2001"? I thought about using the compilation tag, but do not know if that's the best way to go.Â

Is there a way around? Am I missing something? Not ALL artwork (albums / one hit wonders) are available through the iTunes store but I still would like their album-covers.

When I try to add it to .flac, it just shows "Album cover not modifiable" and when I try to add it to .aiff files, it does it, but then when I quit iTunes and restart it, it's gone again.
Is this a bug or it just not possible to add album cover to them?
Btw: Audiophile, would prefer .flac or .aiff over .mp3
