I need to de-authorize a computer that was recycled I while back. I need to de-authorize just that computer. I don't want to de authorize all, how do I de authorize that computer without that computer? There is only an option for de authorizing all but not for de authorizing all

I have all my music on an external HD that I've used for a few years. I told my old computer (1GHz TiBook G4 with Tiger) to export my iTunes library, which it did, as a .xml file. Then, I opened that file on my new iMac, and only about 1/5 of the songs were found, apparently. This doesn't make sense to me, as the iMac is connected to the HD when I import the old library. If it makes a difference, the TiBook was NOT connected to the HD when I exported the library. I have the two computers networked together via Ethernet right now, though.

They both have different information from the phones. I would like to merge the two accounts on the second computer so that all the information is put back onto the new phone.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm using iTunes 10 in Windows XP SP3 and it keeps locking up my computer. I can still move the mouse around, but it's like the screen has frozen and I can't close it through the task manager.
I have to do hard restart. I've tried virus and spyware scans, uninstalling and reinstalling and it still locks up.
I have clicked on "check for updates" in itunes and it tells me there is a new itunes to download, so when i click on down load it goes to my system softwear updates which after a very long time "checking" comes back and tells me there is nothing to update. But i know there is. I have sucsessfully downlaoded the new itunes on my iphone and ipad but just wont do it on my macbook.

I have googled it and looked on the apple help list and all websites say that there should be a "authorize this computer" link or an "advanced" link if the computer is a little older.

I noticed that iTunes wasn't updating my purchases on my MBP so checked and it's not listed as an authorized computer in my iTunes account. But when I click "Authorize Computer" it's telling me it's already authorized. You can see from the screenshots that nnone of the the 3 computers listed are MacBook Pros. It's an old MBP running 10.6.8, don't know if that has any bearing.

My family all uses one Apple ID based on my husbands email address for all our purchases and it works fine in our family. Over the years as we updated computers however, about one third of our songs became deauthorized on the computer, and no longer play. When I check these songs in itunes it asks me to authorize them using an Apple ID based on an old email of mine. I don't remember ever having another apple ID, but you never know, I may have screwed something up along the way. How can I check out this apple ID? Can I just authorize the computer for this apple ID without losing/deleting/messing up our main normal apple ID? I am happy for all the music to be in one big music account - none of my question pertains to having separate accounts or IDs for family members.I simply want to know if these two apple IDs can exist harmoniously together on one computer without messing things up.

Can anyone tell me if its possible to transfer music from my ipod to new itunes library on new computer. My old laptop died and I hadnt backed up my itunes library. I still have all music I want on my ipod and have recovered my purchased content but cant sync ipod or will lose all the content. Have now purchased new laptop but had problems transferring ITunes library from old computer to new so just recreated Library from scratch on new laptop by copying my CD's but did not have all CD's as some were borrowed. In other words, I now have songs on my IPOD (and on old desktop) that I was not able to reload onto the Laptop.
I want to make sure that when I plug my IPod (which now has all the songs on it from my desktop) into the laptop, I don't lose those that are not in my Laptop library. Do I have to upload into the laptop from the IPOD those which have not been duplicated? Or make CD's of the songs on the desktop that I couldn't load in, and upload them to the laptop?
I've downloaded a TV Series to my PC and I want to download it to my iMac but when I go to buy it iTunes says I have bought it and I should check for available downloads but when I do that nothing comes up.
