ITunes :: Cannot Seem To Authorize My Computer On It
I have googled it and looked on the apple help list and all websites say that there should be a "authorize this computer" link or an "advanced" link if the computer is a little older.

ITunes Mac :: Cannot Authorize Another Computer
I have 3 authorized computers in my profile. 2 remaining.

My family has an iMac over in Europe and I need to authorize this machine, so they can listen to my music as well.

Whenever they attempt to authorize the machine everything goes well and the message saying that the authorization was successful appears on the screen.

However, if they try to play any of my music, a login window shows up, asking for my ID and PSW because the machine is not authorized.

Also, how can I deauthorize all computers, if I don't have 5 authorized. I guess the DEAUTHORIZE ALL button doesn't appear until you reach your limit.

I tried to order act of valor as a rental, but did not work the first time.  So i switched to my roommates computer and it began downloading on the same account.  However, an error occured while i was downloading it but it still said i was being billed for the movie and had 24 hours remaining to view it.  So i switched back to my original macbook pro to see if the download would work the second time.  It is downloading but wont let me view the film because it was authorized to be viewed on the other computer as well.

ITunes Mac :: Home Sharing - Need To Authorize Computer
I am having problem with my home sharing. I have signed in on both computers on the home sharing tab, using the same iTunes ID. We are on the same network. No firewall problems and we are using the same IP address. On one computer, it works great. Importing, playing, everything. On the other computer, however, it allows playing and importing of music from CDs, but not from iTunes bought music. It will not play or import iTunes music. It says that the computer needs to be authorized. When I sign in (to authorize the computer), it says that this computer is already authorized, and brings me back to the original screen. When I click on the song again, it gives me the screen that I need to authorize the computer...It is an endless loop.

ITunes Mac :: Repeatedly Prompts To Authorize Computer?
I recently switched from a Dell to a Mac, and I've been having trouble getting several iTunes purchases to play. iTunes keeps prompting to authorize this computer, which I do, then it confirms that this computer is authorized to play this content, but if I try to play the file, it prompts me again. I did all the recommended tips from Apple support, and none of them worked.

I used to use iTunes with my AOL account, and switched to an Apple ID a few years ago (but with the same user name and password). Could this be the problem? I tried to authorize using the old AOL account, but it then it prompted me to switch to an Apple ID, and then said my request could not be completed. Does anyone have any advice?

ITunes Mac :: Cannot Authorize Some Songs
I am trying to play some songs on my mac that were purchased through a previous itunes account. They have worked in the past, all of a sudden they will not play anymore. It asks me to authorize the account each time. The songs were purchased under an old account that I no longer have. When I try to use my old password to authorize through that account it says invalid password/username. I tried to go and retrieve my password for that old account but when I do that it tells me that it is an invalid account. I no longer have that old e-mail and I do not know what to do next. I tried de-authorizing an re-authorizing.

ITunes Mac :: Cannot Authorize A Single Song
I just purchased an album on the iTunes Store, and every song plays properly except one. I've tried pretty much everything listed here and elsewhere (deauthorizing and re-authorizing my computer, repairing permissions, deleting SC info folder, etc.):

[URL]

One issue is that when you use "Get Info" to look at the songs, all other songs are listed as:

Kind: Purchased AAC audio file

But the track in question has:

Kind: AAC audio file

and no information under the "Purchased By" category.

FYI: The album is "Ring (Bonus Track Edition)" by "Glasser". The track that I cannot play is called "Treasure of We".

ITunes Mac :: Can't Authorize Songs Under Old Apple ID
I've run a search for this problem and found lots of other people having the same issue but I haven't seen a solution yet. I recently upgraded my eMac to OSX 10.5.6 and I'm now running the latest version of iTunes as well. However, the songs I purchased under a previous Apple ID won't play on my computer or transfer to my iPod or iPhone. It tells me to authorize the computer but since my old Apple ID doesn't exist anymore I can't authorize it for that ID. It's already been authorized for the current Apple ID. There's over 100 songs that are affected, and that's a lot of money. Is there any way I can get those songs back? Do I need to create a new account? If so, how will it recognize the new account belongs to those songs?

ITunes Mac :: Digital Copy Of Movie Refusing To Authorize?
Mom was trying to load the free digital copy of Princess and the Frog on her iPad, which had been working fine on her iMac for a while, but tonight it simply refused to sync. It claims her computer isn't authorized for the file, but when we check which iTunes account it's on, it says it's the same one she has signed in on her computer. Entering the account info gets a failure notice followed by another that the computer is already authorized for this account. Deauthorizing produces a failure notice followed by another stating that the computer is now authorized for the account. What on earth is going on here?

ITunes :: Authorize Music Purchased On A Different Apple-ID Account Other Than Mine?
we set up OUR Apple account using my then wife's (now ex-wife's) e-mail address and created OUR apple ID account under her name. Fast forward eight years, it has now been two years since my divorce and I have tons of music that was purchased using my ex-wife's Apple account. During the last two years, playing the music that was purchased with her account has not been an issue. I select my music that I want to listen to, hit play and it played. But ever since the latest update from iTunes, I now have a HUGE issue. The latest update requires computers to now be "authorized" to play purchased music and any purchased music must now be verified by the account ID and password used to purchase the music. This has created a catastrophe because my ex-wife has now of course changed her Apple ID password which means I no longer have access to about $1000 worth of music because of this new authorization! This has made me livid to say the least because this seems to be an arbitrary and completely random bull crap requirement from Apple. I have tried to resolve this through Apple support but since it is now nearly impossible to speak to a human at Apple, the email method of communication has yielded diddly squat. I doubt this "forum method" will be any more productive but I have to try. I have begun a social media campaign against Apple's methods of burying random and arbitrary requirements deep within their regular software updates. I've already paid for the music once. I won't pay for it again.
