I have just downloaded, and updated iTunes to 10.6.  Now I only get a beach ball in iTunes (which can only be force quit) when doing any kind of sync with the with 5th Gen Nano. I can no longer delete or add songs or movies. The Nano still works perfectly. Â
Is the 5th Gen Nano no longer supported by Apple?Â

I'm very frustrated with my iPod Nano right now. It hasn't been charging or syncing to my MacBook or any other USB 1.0/2.30 computer in this house. The cable works fine, and I've tried it with other cables, too, so it's the iPod's fault, needless to say. When I plug it in, it only tuns the backlight on the screen. It doesn't sync or charge or charges extremely slow without any indication. When plugged into a wall charger, it charges just fine for some odd reason. I've reseted the iPod a million times and gone through the diagnostics menu a million times. I can't figure this out!

I experience an issue with iTunes becoming unresponsive when either my iphone 5s (fully updated) and ipad 4th gen (fully updated) attempts to sync either wirelessly or with the cord. I have went through the apple trouble shooting and came up with no solution. I've also reinstalled iTunes with no luck. I am not able to transfer purchases or backup either device on my mac, including iBooks. Â

It does an auto sync when I plug it in but only reads the itunes purchases that I have made, and loads them onto my itunes, however I have laods of other music from my cd collection that I have put onto my nano ipod manually through itunes downloading on my old windows pc.
View 2 Replies View Relatedyesterday I ejected my nano (2nd generation aluminium) from itunes only to discover that it had not updated my track listings. Then when I reconnected it, iTunes did not recognise the ipod at all. I have tried lots of times. I have also shut down, disconnected power cable and restarted but to no avail. ipod not showing in itunes or on desktop.
I have not yet upgraded to Leopard (I know...) could that be the problem (a conflict between 10.4.11 and iTunes 8.0.2?
Mac OS 10.4.11. iMac G5 and MacBook. Here is the sequence that leads to the freeze.
System Prefs > Dot Mac > Sync When I click on Sync or Advanced Sync (using my G5) the application freezes(surprisingly I am able to click on iDisk in that application before clicking on Sync or Advanced Sync and I'm taken to iDisk window (iDisk storage, etc.). After I click on the iDisk button if I then click on Sync or Advanced it (the application) will freeze. When I use my MacBook I have no problems i.e. none of the problems noted above for the G5.
Prior to September 15, 2010 I used dot Mac on both G5 and MacBook i.e. synch both of them with no problems. However, I renewed my dot Mac account on September 15, 2010 and that seems to be when my problems started.

I some local internet streams which I listen to, when I added them a long time ago I couldn't add them to the itunes radio tab :-( but created a playlist.I would like to have those streams available on my laptop but since there is no "music" it does not sync. Is there a way to do this? It would be nice to have them on the idevices as well but there i just use a radio app.Â

Normally I have my music stored on an external HD. When I sync my iPhone the music is synced with the content of the external drive. Were I not to have the drive turned on during the sync, iTunes would delete the music on my iPhone as it would sync the "no music" on my pc with the music on my iPhone. Now I am traveling and will be away from my external HD for about a month. I would like to add some apps to my iPhone but if I do a sync I will lose all that music until I can get back home. Not what I want to have happen. Is there any way to prevent iTunes from syncing the music, i.e. just letting what's there alone and syncing the rest of the content?

I watched them on my Mac, and deleted them off my iPhone to save space, given their size. I also do NOT have the "sync new TV shows" box checked.
Yet, the shows keep re-syncing and loading onto my iPhone every time I sync. I suspect this has something to do with the fact that I purchased them on my iPhone. But how do I make this stop?
I have one song that will not sync to my iphone. It is a 43min long Nike running track which itunes gave away for free last year. I would love to listen to it as I run but I can't find it on my iphone. It is checked in itunes and I have it set to sync my entire music library so it should be on there. Any ideas?
If it matters I have changed my email address that I use for my itunes account since then but to my knowledge all of the older music I bought with that account still syncs perfectly fine.

My laptop got stolen a few weeks ago, i've replaced it with a new MBP, and fortunatley I done a full backup at xmas time, so my computer is just like it was on the 23rd of December 2011. However, my iphone has a ton of new photos, music and playlists on it since that date.
Now I want to keep all these tracks, playlists and photos, but i don't no how to go about it.
If i plug it in to the MBP now, won't itunes back sync and delete all the new stuff?

Sync'd my iPhone with iTunes on my mac and lost all imported ringtones. I go to reset the alarm ringtone for example and cannot find any of my imported ringtones. My default imported ringtone for the phone still shows, but if I go to edit it, none of my imported ringtones show up as options. View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a HD movie that I bought from iTunes and when I want to sync the movie to my 4S, it only shows the SD version in itunes under the iphone 4s movie sync tab. It shows the HD version if I launch it from my imac, but for some reason I can't get it to sync the HD version to the 4S.Â
I did originally buy the HD movie on my 4S but had to download it at home on my mac due to large file sizes.Â
Any reason why my imac can see the HD movie but neither my iphone 4s or ipad 2 can sync the hd movie?Â
